There has not been a day gone by in recent months that the Outpost on the "Northern Tradeway" has not been abuzz and bustling.
The construction of the Caravan stop and its walls in full motion under the direction of a Dwarven Architect.
In addition all the lumber from "Thundars ride" see's its way here where it is broken down from log's into a workable ply.

Construction of heavy siege onager's have been seen by traveler's passing through.


New recruits join the ranks of the "Blackrose Militia" and begin the heavy training regiment.


It is rumored that a group of riders rode in from the North bearing the Standard of the "Blackrose."
Talk's of important figures of the family have come from "Waterdeep" to view the state and development of the Outpost.

The names of "Cynthia and Edmund Blackrose" are spoken around the camp.

A representative of House Blackrose could be seen talking with the Merchant Priya with bundles and Bundles of wolf pelts at his feet.
Rumor is that House Blackrose has made a deal with her to get them tailored into cloaks and then distribute them among the residents of Soubar before the first snow is set to fall.

The sergeant managed a full recovery under the matron's care.

It is rumored that few days past a caravan full of Lumber and armaments departed the Blackrose encampment on the Northern Tradeway heading towards Darkhold.

A fierce battle would take place within Thundars ride between the united forces of Bugbears and goblins against Blackrose forces and their allies.


Rumors begin to spread that the Bugbears have poisoned the river a contributing source for food and water to the Lumber camp and large garrison stationed within its Palisade walls. How this will affect the war effort within Thundar's ride is yet to be seen.

In the middle of the night, a courier would arrive on a steed bearing a missive for the attention of the house Blackrose. It bears a symbol of Mystra upon it.

Due to the Bugbears poisoning the river in Thundars ride that runs into the river Chionthar: All town and ports Between Elturel and Baldurs gate are advised caution when coming in contact with the river water. Any feeling sickly are to visit their nearest healer or cleric.

Riders are dispatched with all haste spreading the word through all the towns on and near the rivers bends.

Today wagons would arrive at the Outpost guarding the lumber camp in Thundars Ride. Rumors have it that the cargo is none other then poison antidotes to treat those poisoned by the river water.

The Blackrose Camp is shut up tight due to more then half the stationed force falling ill, the cleric and healers working overtime to take care of the sick.

Reports would come it that the Bugbears were unaffected by the poisoned water due to dumping it downstream from there main stronghold.

Rumors have that an offensive against the Goblins supporting the bugbears took place in recent days. As the reports come in, they would tell of a victory for the Blackrose forces though not without casualties.

The operation itself involved the main host of Blackrose forces drawing the Goblin army away from their village and engaging them throughout the hills and valleys of Thundars ride while an elite strike team headed into the village eliminating the Goblin War chief. After eliminating the War chief and his guards they set the village ablaze only to be set upon by more Goblin as they hoped reinforcement would make it in time to relieve them.

Blackrose Soldier: “What Village!” A small grin would rest upon his face.

As per the Lord Regent’s orders the Calvary were kept in reserve and out of sight while the foot soldiers engaged the main host of the goblins. The fight was fierce and bloody: a fight between overwhelming numbers verses superior training and tactics.


As the fight went on the goblins began to rout, fleeing the battlefield. The Blackrose Forces gave chase but on the horizon war horns could be heard as a force of bugbears entered the fray, forcing the Blackrose soldier to retreat to the river crossing.

The Cleric’s tried their best to keep the men in fighting condition as mage’s and the rangers gave cover fire while the retreat was underway. The men were spent and crossing the river itself would only lead to more deaths: The Blackrose forces would make their stand there at the bank of the river bracing against the Bugbear's onslaught.

As the bugbears charged towards them the corporal would smile taking out an amulet “I think it's time we sprung the trap.” He would say speaking into it.

As the Bugbears clashed with the Blackrose forces at the river crossing their Calvary made its move: Riding down towards the river crossing they charged into the Bugbear’s lines from the rear. With no place to run and being attacked from both sides the Bugbear’s fell in defeat.




As the battle ended the calvary would ride toward the village to relieve the strike team.

The aftermath of the battle would see the Blackrose forces collected the wounded or dead. Clerics would attempt to revive some, but some were just too far gone and would be given a proper burial.



Though the day was won the Great Bugbear Chieftain still hold grip over the Region of Thundars ride.

Today the woman known at the "Matriarch of House Blackrose, Amelia Blackrose" could be seen entering the "Winding Way Tavern" with a sealed scroll in hand accompanied by her elite guards. She would speak with the tavern owner "Mag" as she passed the scroll over to her. Nearby patrons could hear the mention of "Law's of Soubar."
After a lengthy discussion she would leave, the outcome of the conversation not known.

Rumors abound that a Caravan bearing the marking and crest of House Blackrose could be seen heading through the farmlands accompanied by a light guard.
They would venture passed the farmlands and eventually stop at the Lodge across the bridge. Rumors say silk was their cargo as the guards unloaded it from the wagon taking it into the Lodge.

Rumors around the coast would speak of Blackrose Soldiers being spotted and meeting with different Sell-sword and mercenary company's from around the coast.



Sources would say that various Mercenary companies have join the Campaign against the Bugbears in Thundar's ride.
Some for gold others for something more as they all gather at the Outpost protecting the Lumber camp within the Ride.

A caravan is seen delivering crates of goods from Darkhold to House Blackrose.

"The Dreadlady wanted me to tell you that every last piece is accounted for. It's all here" the caravan leader would state to whomever accepted the delivery.

"Amelia Blackrose" Would look over the caravan and after taking inventory of the shipment she would give the caravan leader an affirmative nod "It all looks good, thank you for the speedy delivery"
