I'd say that using anything that hasn't been declared an illegal "bug" is fair game!
A halfling using Rapier with either STR or DEX in the calculation—or both!—could be just the perfect solution to the challenge.

No, it doesn't. But it's an easy way to qualify for Thief Acrobat, which does get Improved Evasion. 5 / 5 split is strong.
A barbarian that hide in the shadows? Hmmm. Does he rage quietly?

For those that don't like weaponmaster in the build. I think you could go Fighter 8/Duelist 10/WD 8/ TA 4. The build is a late bloomer, because Duelist takes time before you see the dividends of your investment, but it might be a more defensive build. I think you would have to commit to Combat insight though.

WD = Whirling Dervish, right?
In which case, wouldn't that be pretty cross-purposes mixing it with Duelist, since WD is Slash-focused and Duelist is Pierce?

You are thinking Dervish.
I would be for changing Dervish to something like Dancer, because its very easy to mix Dervish and Whirling Dervish by name.
