Valmir notices the note as he updates the list of items for trade..he left a note in reply.

Leaves the note and places a large rock on top of it

Valmir sees the note from half-orc and shakes his head as he reads it.
He in turn writes a new note after finding the old one he left already weathered out and covered with dirt.
