Do all the crafting feats work in this simple way?
I've been to some places where crafting was very complicated.
If you find an item with a cool feature already, keen or 1d4 acid or something, can an enchantment be added to a weapon.
I have not been selling gems.
Are any needed for crafting, or should I sell them, maybe keeping some for role playing.
My daughter has a Wizard.
Does a Wizard actually need to take scribe scroll feat to add a spell to the spell book.
Can someone direct me toward crafting information?
Does crafting on the server work like the simple method in the computer game?
Take Craft Magic Wand feat.
Find bone wand.
Cast spell on wand.

Hello there, i will reply one by one:
1) There is no crafting except for wand crafting, scroll crafting, potion/elixir brewing and some minor beetle shells into consumables conversion yet. Though, crafting is in our roadmap for this and next year.
2) No, currently, you can't enchant weapons with permanent enchantments. All you can do is enhancing it with spells in regular way (temporary, duration depends on spells)
3) Wizard do have learn spell feat which is used to learn spells from scrolls, potions and even magic items. Just use the feat on item you plan to learn spell from, then use this item. Your PC will make spellcasting animation, the consumable will be spent (or a wand charge etc), but instead of spell effects, it will be added to your spellbook. Keep in mind, this respects restricted schools and arcane/divine spells, so you can't learn divine spells as wizard.
4) Well, as of crafting, you can refer to our wiki for craft wand, brew potion and master alchemist prestige class. Speaking of beetle shells -> consumables, you will see "craftable" or similar on item name, so then you find a workbench (one is at Friendly arms inn), put it there and cast any spell on it. That's the max crafting we have currently.
5) Yes, wand crafting is as simple as having craft wand feat and casting a spell on bone wand. You can also recharge the wands. There is wand recharger in Farmlands east, several more in other areas. Just put the wand inside the recharger (it will give you the cost to recharge), then pull the lever. Every wand has chance to be destroyed while recharged. A freshly made wand has 0% chance to be destroyed (so a wand can be charged to full capacity at least once), every next recharge adds 20% chance to break the wand, so it's 20-40-60-80-100%. My best record is getting to 80 so far

A cleric friend created a few raise dead scrolls but only other clerics or characters with high use magic device could cast them. This is in contrast to other raise dead scrolls randomly dropped where anyone can cast them. Is this just the way it is, or can the scrolls crafted by a cleric be used by his party members? Thanks

That is just the way it is, those lootable ones are rarer finds. Ones that are crafted are like all other scrolls and require umd to use.

Is there a cap for appraise? My friend has 21 points in it, and through gear and bonuses he reached 40, but saw no change from around 30 before he put the extra items on to raise it.
My son's Warlock/Shadowdancer character gets a replacement feat, and his next one was going to be Practiced Spellcaster, but it does not show up on the list.
Thanks

Appraise is technically opposed. Your appraise roll is compared to the merchant's appraise roll, and up to a 30-point difference is used to calculate the final price.
So having a 40 appraise may be capped for one vendor (many NPCs have no Appraise ranks), but will be insufficient for the maximum markdown somewhere like the Epic Store (who has a fairly high appraise).

It was the 2nd Hand shop in BG, near the Epic Store there.

Does Extra Evocation function the exact same way a new spell is added to Warlock, where you can swap it later if needed?
I still did not see Practiced Spellcaster, but taking an Extra Evocation might be OK.
Thanks

Is there an easy way to quickly identify your voice set? How do you emote the basic phrases from the Nexus? Thanks

No for the first question, it'll work like a feat that you can use, but you cant use the spell swapper
For warlocks, the feat is Practiced Invoker

Not really. But you can change your sounset in game for any PC.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... =492722633
So you can just cycle them around and test in Nexus till you hit what you like. And later you remember what is the voiceset name in case you need it again.

I ended up bashing a door down below in the tutorial until some words were uttered, and that was enough for me to find it. Thanks, though. I did not know the sound set could be changed.

So, as a replacement feat, my son selected the Extra Invocation feat, Summon Undead, forget the official name now, but I cannot find the feat on his character. He is ready to take a level, but because of what I have read on the forum, it seems wise to clear this up first.
Thanks

I didn't see Practiced Invoker either.
But I still am not able to locate the feat I selected. Extra Invocation, The Dead Walk.
Thanks
