Thats the only reason reason the CoC can make stronger builds and IMO, that was a mistake on tha part of the one who developed the class. Not only the did not take rapiers out, but they added shortswords This is a PRC with one of the requirements being heavy armor proficiency and by allowing those weapons you are encouraging finess builds.
Other than that SV makes far superior builds and I already have one planned for the rcr perior. No lets allow drow on the surface so that I can farm everything everything with it.
I would go so far to say that CoC will do better than the SV in the intended playstyle of the SV. Not just a little, but by a lot.
I would use rapier vs scimitar for a possible comparision. I am quessing you like shortswords for dervish

SV has some innate AB and AC bonuses for dual wielding, and their special abilities are very synergistic with that play style.
Where CoC really pulls ahead is keeping their bonuses when throwing on a tower shield or something. Being able to significantly bump your AC against groups or bosses makes a huge survivability difference. And while Sarol’s can too they lose all their AB/AC bonuses in the process.
Still I’m not knocking the class, it has huge dps potential.

Hm I did not know that. I always thought dual wielding rapiers or shortswords with Full dex and double int to damage, while getting vamp regen from 12 attacks is where this prc shines at. Something like F12/CoC10/SB5/RogueORsd3. Thats 40damage on every attack. Adding +2vamp regen weapons ( some have +3) get you a lot of sustain.
That shield better cap the boss's AB, other wise your time-to-kill is doubled ( compared to 12attacks per round) so you are going to be hit more. Otherwise, I will always take PTWF + Concealment and mirrors

CoC dex bonus does not stack with Swash int bonus. But you can still stack it with combat insight. So no double int bonus.

There goes my 6 damage. I guess I should stick with WM5 instead of SB5. Much more damage against mobs, but those pesky crit immunes. In that case rapier is the idea weapon because of the crit range
