I feel like it hasn't been clearly said in this thread but maybe the experience your looking for is different from the game your playing? As you mentioned in previous posts, you recognized how you had a lot of fun teaming up with people... instead of running the dungeons solo and expecting amazing loot for your time. I think that social aspect is the very essence of why most of us are still here.
BG has been around a long time, and it's very much a social experience. Make friends, build RP, and create a lasting story. You may go through the 'frost keep' 1,000 times, but, the experience is what you make of it. Change it up, create some RP flavor, and bring others along with you to create a story and character development that is unique to you! I truly believe that the BG experience is rooted in player creativity, not to be stifled with the limitations of an almost 20 year old game.
I believe that having the mentality of 'this game should spoon feed my needs' is the wrong way of thinking. Instead it really helps to change your mindset into something like "this game provides me a unique opportunity and creative platform/tools to tell the story that I've always wanted tell about my character". I suppose the question is, do you want to drive the narrative of a the story and build your legacy? or are you just looking for someone to provide content so that you can churn through it and say 'yep I completed that game'.
I'm not trying to be hostile here, but I think its important to understand that "BG The Sword Coast Chronicles" is much more about the journey, building your character, and creating a memorable social experience to enjoy (especially at level 30!). Its a RP focused server... sooo, if your treating it like an action game with the desire to "loot, loot, loot, I need the best, and now I'm frustrated because I'm not getting what I want" then I think maybe it would help to step back and look at it from a different perspective. This world is a timeless place for adventure and story telling if you open up and allow yourself to be part of the adventure. If all that matters to you is looting and equipment progression, then I think you will have a hard time enjoying this game world.
I’d like to point out that I’ve been on this forum for at least a year longer than you, and who knows how much longer on the server.
. . . . .
