HELM & CLOAK MURDERESS FOUND AND EXECUTED!

Rumors spread that the notorious murderess responsible for the brutal murder of a man in the Helm & Cloak Inn was apprehended and executed by hanging. Details are hazy on how she was found, but some whisper of the dark burden of a heavy conscience.

Justice be done.

In the early dawn, a group of Radiant Heart supporters is seen gathered. They appear to be centering around a man known as Alexander Marshall, a Paladin of Torm. There are some silent prayers, and handshakes witnessed. Passing word is that Alexander Marshall has taken on a role within the Radiant Heart and is starting recruitment to grow of the Order. With the support of its many allies and friends, he will now lead the order while Arkaine HalfOrken has taken on an advisory role willing to share his wisdom.

Trade Gone Bad?!

Upon late morning, the inhabitants of dock district in Baldur's Gate can observe two small groups- one of the Flaming Fist, and another of the City Watch, both walking with stern faces and grim demeanor. The City Watch enters the Merchant's League and stays there for several hours, barring anyone from entering untill their work is over. After time passes and the watchmen emerge, they lead few people in chains, one notable person would be a greatly tall man with a cold gaze and fancy moustache- said to be head of the Western Seas Trading Company based in this city. Meanwhile the small squad of the Flaming Fist entered the Company's Warehouses (likewise barring anyone from entering during the operation), and after what sounded like a minor brawl, several Flaming Fist would leave the buildings with two bodies and three persons clad in chains and escorted to prison. Though most people scratch their heads, wondering what has happened, some clever onlookers shake their head and smirk- muttering "This is what happens when you cross wrong people."

As the day nears afternoon, the Western Seas Trading Company announces closing down its business for good.

THE HIGH HOUSE OF WONDERS IS OPEN!

After years of rebuilding from its destruction in a terrifying event of Tiamat's avatar bursting out of the building, the High House of Wonders is finally open once again, refurnished and with new members of clergy and inventors coming and filling the building devoted to Gond the Wonderbringer with new ideas, inventions and innovations!

Artificer Peter Pike along with other faithful of Gond are rumoured to be in high spirits, and looking forward to re-establishing their great temple in Baldur's Gate once again to bring forth the Wonderbringer's ideals to this part of the Sword Coast in the best way they can.

Watchers at the Beacon
A Flaming Fist vessel, the Ayasaso, has been anchored near the mouth of the River Chionthar, alongside the Beacon at Ulgoth's Beard. Those able to spot the soldiers aboard would see them watching further out to sea.

Tinker, Traitor, Guard and Spy
A noble of minor prominence by the name of Lord Denton places a bounty of 10,000 coins for the live capture of one Richart Lynne, a guard that was formerly in Denton's employ. The man is accused of stealing from his master an heirloom of significant sentimental value. A description and sketch of the man are provided:
Human male of average height and build, fair skin, native to the Sword Coast. His hair is dark and he wears a thick mustache. He is a skilled fighter: approach with caution.
In the days that follow and in seemingly unrelated news, Flaming Fist soldiers secure a small, underground laboratory near the farmlands south of the Gate.

A brothel located in the seedier parts of the harbor district of Baldur's Gate was abruptly shut down after its madam went missing. Her half-orc bodyguard was found slain in one of the rooms by the City Watch; the rest of her staff have now turned to other establishments to seek employment.

A noble by the name of Lord Wendall Trant was quick to seize possession of the building, declaring his intention to repurpose it as a shelter for the needy.

This evening in Baldur's Gate, in front of the Flaming First Headquaters, a tiefling was sentenced to death for practicing dark magic known as "Eldrich Magic", and occultism to Fiends. His last words are reported to be "Hellfire and Damnation take you! I regret nothing and will see you all in Nine Hells!".

Onlookers and people around taverns all agree that "It's a good thing that the damn, bloody tiefling was executed. Serves them right!"

CALM BEFORE THE STORM?

With monsters at sea still at large, the Flaming Fist remains vigilant at the Beacon at Ulgoth's Beard. Hope appears, however, with news of adventurers undergoing preparations to combat the beasts.

Ulgoth's Beard, itself, however, seems at peace, and still manages to receive visitors from nearby, eager to hear the newest gossip. Even a withered old woman braved the stories of ghosts haunting the fog to sell her pies to the locals, amid growing Fist presence.

Time will tell if that peace remains.

Devil's Gambit

Word spreads that a merchant by the name of Morrys Weekes has been arrested on charges of conspiracy, sedition, and treason within Baldur's Gate by the Flaming Fist. Details of his crimes are vague, but there are rumors that the man was in league with fiendish cults.

Shortly after his arrest, Morrys Weekes is slain during a prisoner transfer from the Fist to the City Watch by another inmate. Some suspect that his death was orchestrated, though there is little concrete evidence to support such a claim.

Beluarion of the Flaming Fist is reportedly furious over the incident and works to ensure more stringent transfer procedures are implemented throughout the city.

Construction workers brought in a new door into the Helm and Cloak this morning. Earlier, several of the City Watch had been seen around the building and two had been carrying an obvious body bag out of the high class inn.

Rumours are that a well-known priestess of Siamorphe and her companion (some rumours claim a romantic companion, others that the companion is the priestess' bodyguard) had been the target of attempted robbery and assault, but had successfully defended themselves leading to the death of their attacker. The rumours further say that the assailant was found without a weapon, but had a shield strapped to his arm - suggesting a melee combatant.

Strangely, while the rumours talk about only one attacker, several of the City Watch who have investigated the scene have puzzled over the fact that many crossbow bolts have been fired into the room and are stuck in the walls around the door and on the far side of the door in the room, suggesting a second attacker armed with a crossbow.

An incident at the Elfsong Tavern has resulted in the influx of repair workers on site. None witnessed the event firsthand, but one of the second-floor conference rooms was clearly the site of a violent conflict as evidenced by overturned chairs, a broken window, and bloodstains. A distinct scent of sulfur lingers in the room even after a thorough cleaning by the tavern's staff.

Patrons of the tavern report seeing a handsome young man dressed in noble attire departing hurriedly with a beautiful red-haired woman in heavy armor during or perhaps after the scuffle took place. City Watch officers continue to investigate, though their efforts have not borne fruit thus far.

Meanwhile, rumors that Lord Wendall Trant has not returned to his estate in the Palace District in some time make their way through many circles of nobility. Credence is lent to these murmurings by several missed appointments on Lord Trant's part. Some claim he has taken shelter in the Halls of Inner Light for some undisclosed purpose, though others whisper that Lord Eugene Denton - a rival lord who recently declared a feud against Trant - might have a part to play in Trant's disappearance from public view.

The wise among the gossip-mongers caution that much of what is said is only the result of baseless speculation.
