The streets of Beregost seem littered with tame black cats, who wander about curiously as cats do. Incidents have been happening all over town. Horses escaping from a barn, a house burning wich was soon drenched from water out of buckets from a nearby well. The blacksmith complaining too. A boy was seen walking around the area, rumoured to have disaster follow him.

Rumors are going around that people have been vanishing from Beregost in the night, travellers have been warned to travel with caution if on the trading roads alone and to report any strange activity.

Those travelling the road north of Beregost may notice the statue of Mielikki has been given a flowery crown of white moonflowers, of the species Ipomoea alba as some herbalists may identify, many petals of the same flower lay scattered around the statue in peculiar patterns.

Drow raiding parties seem to have gone quiet - patrols on the roads have been stepped up for added security and as a result no one has been reported missing. The Flaming Fist also stepped into help on the roads and around Beregost.

A new song can be heard resounding throughout Beregost, usually originating over a round of drinks at the Risen Phoenix. The song's source remains largely unknown, but rumor largely agrees on one point; "Commander Love" is strongly believed to be Eldarian himself...

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

They are led by a man, stalwart and wise,
known by all as "Commander Love."
Untroubled is he by the chaos of battle,
the turmoil he rises above.

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

Second in charge, and a tactical genius,
the dashing knight, "Golden Blade."
He wades into battle, a song on his lips,
by fear and villainy he is not swayed.

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

Third in the number, and the commander's companion,
is the lovely "Lady Luxury."
Her blade cuts true, and the bond she has with the Commander,
some say is more than brotherly.

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

Let us not forget, their companion true,
a dapper man known as "Blonde Beard."
Legends say "Never! No not even once!",
has his face ever been sheared.

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

Last, but not least, a man of mystery.
He goes by the name "Terror Turban."
They say he's so skilled, he slays foes left and right,
all while sipping his bourbon.

The klaxon sounds, the undead march,
who will stand and face this foe?
There on the walls, manning the fort,
stand Lathander's Lamps, HO!

A new song can be heard delivered in taverns and drinking halls along the coast.
The Shadow of the Sunrise

Have you e'er watched the sunrise,
rising from the hills below,
And wondered to yourself, bemused,
if the sunrise has a shadow?

As the Dawnlord streaks across the sky,
is it followed close behind,
by a figure, fiery haired,
seeking him to intertwine?

She seems to never catch her prey,
it is just an endless chase.
But our figure, fiery haired,
continues with the race.

And our sunrise, unperturbed,
fulfills his lightful duties,
he simply moves across the sky,
unconcerned with fire-haired beauties.

And we the mortals, on ground below,
watching this display,
See the figure, fiery haired,
acting like a child, and this? Mere child's play.

She plays a simple game of tag,
striving hard to catch the sun.
To her this isn't serious,
it's just a silly bit of fun.

But the duties of the sunrise,
give one little time for games.
He can't spare time for Fire-Hair,
the chase brings her only shame.

Perhaps it's time to quit this folly;
bid the sunrise fond farewell.
And go and chase a man more interested,

Lady Embel Parel.

Many new faces have been seen going inside and leaving the Song of the Morning temple in Beregost. Among them was one somewhat familiar face which some may have recognized as Dawnbringer Saul Aurora.

The increased activity appeared to have been linked with a meeting regarding a certain 'Inquisition', ordered by the High Radiance. Saul however didn't seemed to have joined this group nor is he known as a fellow inquisitor.

Yet. After reading the official papers on this very meeting, handed over by Dawnbringer Ildar Drakebiter... people could overhear how the warrior Saul was asked once more for his blessing on this group 'inquisitors'. Earlier on Saul had replied that he had no saying over this matter as he never really had occupied any position or rank within this temple. But this time Ildar informed Saul that he was the only 'one' left. Upon which Saul had frowned.

In the end Saul gave them his blessing, for what it was worth, but also advised on two things. The first was that Ildar would send reports to Beregost on a regular basis regarding progress and actions of this Inquisition. Just in case brothers and sisters of the temple would return and would have an overview about the ongoing events regarding the faith. Ildar had promised this and Saul would see to it the reports were copied and stored in the proper places. The second advice was to consider another term for 'Inquisition' as the Lathander wasn't exactly known for being intrusive. Or at least to be clear to commoners what this 'inquisition' encompassed.

The meeting ended with most of the inquistors leaving for a journey to the north.

*a bright and cheery Morninglord can be seen coming in and out of the Temple of Lathander every few days or so as usual. Those that know her by name know her as Loriah.*

It has been more than two years, but some may recognize the young musician, seen once again playing his lute, singing songs of both battle and beauty, there in the open market areas of Beregost.

Brennan Aldunn, has been introducing himself to the townsfolk, and telling tales of his youth in the Dalelands peppered with lesson and morals related to the dogma of Lathander - rebirth, renewal, self-perfection, etc. Those that do remember may recall that he had some sort of official involvement with the Church before disappearing for some time from the coast.

Nearly each morning he can be seen near the east edge of town, watching the sun rise above the horizon, followed by training with sword and shield, as well as mace and shield combat.

A poster is hung up in the tavern of Beregost.

The 8th of marpenoth, 1352 DR
Wizards of the coast, sorcerers, alchemists, enchanters, crafters of wands and all who draw on the Weave to work their Arts.

I am laying the foundations to form a guild of mages. If this piques your curiosity, I encourage you to make contact with me for more information and the opportunity to influence its beginnings.

Letters may be left at the Friendly Arm inn or the Elfsong tavern in Baldur's Gate. I can likely be found on a bench near the Friendly Arm.

Myrualae would be seen recollecting all the original posters she spots on the streets of Baldur's Gate and Beregost. She burns them afterwards outside the city with a small magical rod. She would, however, leave one of the "altered" posters at the entrance of both cities.
