When planning for a 3 or 4 episode plot (such as I did with my Toecutter Gang plot), I deliberately write out alternative outcomes depending on the three alignments: Good, Neutral & Evil, even if one or more of these paths are not followed through by PCs.

When I initially started the Toecutter plot, most of the PCs involved roleplayed out mostly Good/Neutral intentions to the point where I had almost actually striken the evil option out. Then this happened at the request of an evil PC. I admit running that event was a logistical nightmare, but in the end it turned out to be such an excellent twist that so very nearly paid off for team evil (only the sheer dedication and determination of the elven tracker gave team good the final upper hand). The best part was that half of team evil were not evil aligned characters, so crafty was their manipulator!

The epilogue event following it I ran for two players who wanted to follow up the loose ends left by the plot and, despite being an epic long-haul event, it was probably the most exciting good vs. evil encounter I've personally witnessed on the server, although I was terribly disappointed when both players ended up joining team just to 'search for loot'; in the end they came to blows in a fully moderated PvP although I could perceive that, as players rather than as player-characters, neither wanted the other to potentially lose out on lewts because of a PvP. I would have preferred them both to stick to their guns earlier; it would have made for a much shorter event!

If you're ever in one of my planned events (less so my 'one shot ad hoc' encounters), know that I've already thought through a variety of good/neutral/evil options and you're quite welcome to pursue one, or more, of them, although there will be times when it is a logistical nightmare to deal with two parties at the same time and I may not permit some action simply for the sake of saving a DMing headache!

Just remember that all actions have consequences and I will enforce them. For good, neutral or evil. ;)

Certain things, the way they have been previously written in this thread, have left the
impression that the Twilight Rose (Formerly the DragonWing) Crew turned down a player's
attempt to start a good/evil natured event with our crew,
thus foiling the evil player's RP OOCly by doing so.

I would like to make a few corrections to impressions left and set the record straight ...

The Twilight Rose and the DragonWing for all intents and purposes may as well be seen as two
different guilds. Desrah remains the owner, and approximately 3 other PCs have remained from
the past, nothing else has carried over. Much as if she owned a doughnut stand, closed it,
refurbished it and opened a dress shop instead. While a few employees may have remained in
her employment, the dress shop would otherwise have virtually nothing to do with the previous
doughnut shop.
Her personal rp and rp related to those who remain carry over.
Old conflicts attached to old pcs remain and carry over.
They are not simply erased or forgotten, nor should they be.
That is in no way the point of my statement. Which I will make in just a moment..

Timeline Of The Guild Changes and The Whys Behind Those Changes:
Hidden: show
~I took an approximately year long break from the server, and left a PC in charge of the guild.
~Desrah returned to BG after being gone for a year real time.
~Desrah purged the evil pcs permitted to join the crew when I returned to the server, as she would never have permitted them on her ship to begin with, had she knowledge they were there.
~Desrah began her redemption abroad while I was gone from the server.
~The DragonWing left RoaringShore and came to Ulgoth's.
~Desrah continued to work on her redemption/atonement.
~The ship's interior was rebuild/refashioned from a Cargo Ship to a Luxury Ship.
~The Purpose/Mission Statement/General Alignment/Nature/Entire RP of the entire guild changed.
~Almost all of our players in the guild are new to the guild and have no connection to older rp.
The Re-Christening and Charity Event held last night was the "Grand Opening" of the new guild.
This is why the name was held back from most until the Re-Christening.
This is why our new Forum Guild Page was withheld until that time as well.
It was posted almost at almost exactly the same moment the Christening took place.
It was the Grand Opening of the 'new guild'.

Chain Of Events Regarding the Offered DM Event We Turned Down and why:
Hidden: show
~DM Golem came to me and asked me if I wanted him to do an event with the RoaringShore High Captains/Pirates.
~At No Point: Were we made aware that PCs or the actions of PCs were involved in the offer.
~We knew only that we were being offered a PVE (vs NPCs) event with with pirates.
~We politely declined, as we were/are still in an 'under construction' stage as a guild, and wished
first to get ourselves situated as a guild before partaking in events of this nature.
All of that said:
None of this In Any Way suggests that we will not or do not welcome the RP of
evil players. We are a neutral to good aligned guild and happily welcome RP from those who
wish to or would like to try and thwart our plans/etc.
Such is what makes Faerun turn.
This in no way means we sought to derail Kagger's RP,
as we had no idea this had anything to do with his PC.

What it Does Mean...
Is that we simply chose to politely decline this specific DM Event offered to us
as we simply wanted to run and enjoy our first event together, for ourselves.

Since the thread is opened again to address unaddressed statements, I will address this one. You know, I tried solving this through PM's, but your arrogance is still at an all time high it seems ;)

You never once provided any sort of IC contact with the guild, you kept insisting that the guild has to find you and recruit you. Even though your character wasn't known and even though you yourself claimed that your character "doesn't take orders from anyone"... You were constantly reminded that you can approach the guild in an IC manner, either by sending in an IC letter on the forums or by informing yourself in character about one of the few public members of the guild. You still refused to do so. You kept claiming how the Zhentarim is super secretive and how you can't find the guild... Do we need to place road pointers on the tradeway, pointing towards Darkhold?

You were obviously not informed on who and what the Zhentarim is, and judging by your post here you still have no clue. That is fine, we are here to provide such information and help people with their character concepts should they wish to make a zhentarim character from the get-go. But instead of asking directly and informing yourself properly, you proceeded to brag about your "insane power builds" and your intentions to "kill Thedran and every other zealot on the server." once you reached high epic levels.

Do not pin your own faults on a guild which was more than open to your approaches, and gave you several opportunities which you refused to take.

I have problems with you spreading misinformation, based on your very selective memory. Which you have done in this thread. It is very fitting for this thread, seeing as you are the one presenting "facts" from the past, and demanding "more epic DM rewards" for "evil characters" based on those "facts". "facts" which are skewed by your own selective memory.

Now let us all look back upon this thread and contemplate about the mysterious reasons as to why you received no DM support in the past when all you wanted to do was pvp half the server.
