Yeeeeeees! Thanks valefort, for the love of casters everywhere!

How would these prices compare to vendors?

Should be significantly cheaper to craft things in most cases now. There will still be select cases where the vendor price remains cheaper (especially in the case of higher tier scrolls).

Doing the math Master Alchemists can now compete with Sorcerous Sundries for low end, low CL potions like Mage Armor (40gp) and Shield (100 gp), so when you factor in the cost of a potion bottle the MA can sell mage armor potions at very little profit, but not a loss and can sell shield at an ok profit.

Heroism/Greater Heroism is no competition, the Red Wizards got that market cornered! :P

All in all I am extremely happy with this change and think it will bring a player economy in to play for crafters. Wands are no longer the 'only' reasonable option in the long term and there is actually a reason to make a character that doesn't cross-class 11 points of UMD!

I imagine Pimple will have quite a bit of work to update Sirion's prices, but hopefully it will be a labor he is happy to sink time in to!

Pimple will be fine. The harder part of the process if figuring out what the default CL spells apply to scrolls/potions. Once you know that the math is simple.

For most of the new spells it will be the minimum possible CL by default so spell level * 2 -1

My spreadsheets make this much easier. I've added a bunch of potions to be posted on my auction thread when the patch is in already, and converting prices will be as easy as changing a few variables. I figured I may as well do it this way in the first place since I only get the last master alchemist levels at 30.

Still got a bunch of scrolls to enter. But yea, the minimum CLs are - at least currently - rather messy. It's useful to know it'll probably be SL*2-1 cause I've been winging it for a bunch of spells until someone made an order ^^

So uhm, just because there's no pleasing anyone, least of all me, I would still point out that potions that target objects or even other people don't work. But even so, this more than triples the list of potions in Sirion's selection, and that's just the ones I think people might want and know they could get some use out of mechanically or in RP (waterbreathing and things).

But it would be nice if magical potion bottles stacked! I keep having to go to Baldur's Gate for more of them, and that place is just the worst. *Spits on the ground*

Can't wait to sell the first elixir of disintegrate...

For the potions I made a change so that the potion can't be force-fed to someone else

They'll behave like classic potions, one click, you drink.
