Server down?

I guess the main RP zone has shifted to the Friendly Arm since I last played on this server. Seems every time I scry that's where everyone is.

There was a time they always gathered at the Merchant Camp at the end of the bridge leading south from the Gate. Seems that low-level characters are kind of cut off from the RP without a means of getting to the FAI on our own. :-\

Thought that required a certain level and having been there before...
Either way, it's a quick run from A to B, and the roads are not dangerous except past the bridge, and only if you stop to smell the roses.

Yeah, last time I was in the Nexus I didn't see a spawn at the FAI.

One thing I've noticed is that it seems to stabilize around 11pm CST. Not sure that means much, but it appears to be pretty consistent.

Or the host could be configured to use proper packet filtering instead.

Useless the moment the upstream is saturated, which is why ddos is effective. You're better off rotating ipv6 tunnels on a separate connection to the server which is what most of the big players are doing these days.

Hey, I don't know details about the attack.
It is the old software, so it is much easier to overwhelm the server than to saturate upstream. Hence the suggestion for a packet filter.
