Re: There and back again - a Topic's tale for BG'sCommunity
My computer is going rather nuts (as some of you may have heard me complain about IG <.<)
For the past five - eight days I've been crashing increasingly much - over the last few days, it's been around every 15th to 30th minute, which is just pushing the envelope for me.
A little under an hour ago, my PC went completely down and I've been struggling ever since to get it back up. I've managed to get it to the point I can power it on, and I'm now working frantically with fixing it... if I can =(

Apologies... I got booted out, and can't get logged back in... I have a feeling it is my internet acting up. To all those I had RP going with, I will catch up with all of you as soon as things get situated.

Sounds like it's overheating. Get a can of compressed dry air and blow out your PC. Particularly the heat sink on your motherboard and the graphics card. Do te power supply as well.Considerate_ wrote:My computer is going rather nuts (as some of you may have heard me complain about IG <.<)

You can also download a program called SpeedFan. And check your temperatures and bump up the speed of your fans. Could be the issue right there.

I just realised I never did a public goodbye post, so here it is. It won't be un-nessessary long.
Thank you everyone for all the laugh, all the tears and everything. For my own sanity I decided to step down entirely, to try to cure my forum addiction.
You guys can contact me on my Randall account if there's something, I won't log back on this one.

If overheating is the issue and using the air can does not fix it, re-apply the thermal compound. I had an overheating issue recently and cleaning the inside wasn't enough. I had to remove the old thermal compound and re-apply, and my computer runs very cool now.IAmDeathComeForThee wrote:Sounds like it's overheating. Get a can of compressed dry air and blow out your PC.
