An impromptu drinking session may have caught Bentley off-guard this night as three dwarves drank at least one barrel dry and were heard to be ordering another three barrels and a mule for a march to Kraak Helzak.
Bentley was probably much relieved when talk outweighed deed and the dwarves retired gracefully for the evening...

Two King-sworn encounter a fellow Stout wandering the Inn and engage in hearty drinking session. The bench-elf looks on casually sipping on his Jalanthar Amber.

The Dwarves of Kraak Helzak are guided by a Svirfneblin Guard—befriended by Garlic Rama, the dwarves own gnomish compatriot—to the Lightouch Garden, where the Rockrun Queen is nestled in the glowing magic mushrooms.

The Dwarves show signs of respect befitting emissaries, and wait for the Queen to request them to speak of why they have come, and for what they have sought an audience....

On a slumbery day, while most of the dwarves were sleeping off hangovers from an im-promptu birthday party the night before. A couple joined up with the gnome Garlic and a human whom has been wandering the hills, to adventure into the Stone Giants fortress nearby.
Image
They made their way deep into the fortress, fascinated by the giant beings and their ancient ruins of a home. Interesting mechanics and protections were in place to slow down any advance into their realm.
Image
Great battles took place as some of the giants wielded great shamanistic magics.

It would be said that Amber and Adolamin returned to the hold with much heavier coin purses and a few trinkets to trade. The fortress is definately worth a return for studying.

The Dwarves of Kraak Helzak form an expedition to the south, to uncover the rumored dwarven ruins of Durlag's Tower, a once great fortress of Stoutness, an ancient "rival" to the current Dwarven stronghold in the north.

The disappointment of the Tower itself, long occupied by Undead and ransacked by others seeking Dwarven-made treasures, lead the expedition to seek greater secrets below...and after some effort in digging through barred caverns walls, the Dwarves of Kraak Helzak enter the secret labyrinth below.

Image

In the Dwarven way, the greater the secret, the deeper one must delve to it...and the expedition led farther into the bedrock, where it was discovered the greater collections of Durlag, and many treasures of Stout significance.

It was also that the image of Durlag was developing, for the Kraak Helzak Stouts, though...a sense of corruptness build, in the idea of who Durlag was...or what he was to become.

It was finally, after much exploration and challenge, that the Dwarves of Kraak Helzak encountered a being that would challenge their expedition, on many levels....

Relnor, propped against one of the many kegs in the Kraak Helzak brewery, looks around contentedly.

"Now all I need is some kin ta drink with ... maybe they're out on patrol."

Adolamin would stroll in shortly after Relnor, plonk down onto an empty stool beside him and order a tankard of Archenwood Stout.

Hurgon Wyrmstone finds the two Stouts sampling the latest output from the brewmasters, and approaches them directly with determined step.

"Ye be fine Stouts with the right senses fer the job...now get to it. I proclaim ye Council Leaders te the Brewing League!"

Hurgon slaps each on the shoulder firmly, granting each a kin-ly grin of appreciation...or is it a smirk, knowing he has "placed" them into a Role of his choosing.

"Tell me Stouts...te which town shall we hasten te bring our finest ales, and prove te dis Wereld that the Dwarves are the masters of many a Craft?!?"

Choking as he inhales some of the stout ale he was midskol on whilst getting shoulder slapped, he wipes his mouth and gives Hurgon a leery stare.
"Oi! Almost a tragedy there. Didn' lose any though, s'all good. Oi, an' regards to yer query on sending the ale far an' wide. Oi've 'ad some prior thoughts to that. We should choose one or two o' Helzak's finest 'omebrews and send it down to Nashkel. There in tha' Belchin' Dragon, a place even the bards and wanderer's talk tales of, is the coast's largest repository of fine booze, but to be made much better by 'aving some o' Helzak's on tap. Of course we don't send 'em all the best stuff. "
Winks and offers a husky chuckle.
"Wha' yeh reckon Relnor?"

Later in the evening, another dwarf can be seen entering the brewery. His bare chest and back are mostly covered in scars from battles long gone. He can be seen around the fortress talking to other Slayers, taking advice and directions. The tavern patrons can tell you that he goes by the name of Thogrim, and that he has attained the rank of Fiend Slayer.

He takes to himself, contemplating his next goal. Nursing his beer, he notices the three dwarves engaged in conversation.

Grendunor wanders into the tavern after finishing a long day of service in the temple. The old silver beard dressed in his standard bronzed-battleplate smiles to the gathering.
"Evening laddies, hope yer all keeping well and yer hearts are full o' the soulforgers fire." *he moves over to the bar pulling a draught of the latest batch of house brew.* "Been meaning ta get me a Meeting with you counsellor, just Moradin's work's been keeping me busy out in the lands." *he offers a nod to Wyrmstone* "Need ta get some additions made to the local temple 'ere and I was hoping you'd be the fella ta talk to about seeing that it gets done right proper."

Hurgon places a hand on Grendunor’s shoulder.

“He be right welcomed to the Allegiance, ye of inner faith. The Deep Mountain sees yer spirit true!”

Offering the newcomer an ale from the newest batches being sampled for purity and strength by Relnor and Adolamin, Hurgon continues.

“If the temple is lacking facilities, aye, draft it up to me, and I surely will pass it onwards to the stonesmiths.”

In the company of the day shift mine foreman, Adolamin spends the day walking through the current active levels of the mine workings in Kraak Helzak. Both can be seen performing a fairly standard inspection of the workings assessing various ongoings including: ground support in access development drifts, ground integrity of ore stope voids, rail cart equipment on various trucking levels and internal hoisting conveyances. They would close off the inspection around crib time where they both sit down with the miners in the main crib room engaging in friendly banter whilst eating their food.

Mellenip wonders into the lower levels of Kraak Helzak to inquire about her joining.

Hello! I was given a tour by the grand over-gnome Rax Mataz and was wondering if he relayed my interest in joining this lovely keep!

Grendunor walks into the main chamber of the temple of Moradin, setting down two scales, one black and one green.

"Let it be known that on this day the 17th of Tarsakh 1354 I did stand witness to Thogrim icebreaker achieve the feat of a dragonslayer by striking the killing blow against the great black wyrm infesting the snake hills."
