To make my offer on the gloves more convincing and considering you sound more interested in items, then gold, I would give more generous offer. It would be the same Shocking Longsword EB+4, +1d4 Electric plus pair of a bit worn epic Gloves with EB+4 and Attack +4 on them. I reckon you would be able to make profit from it, and I'll get what I need.

I'm still waitin' to hear your answer, revered dwarf, on an offer to trade mine fine suit of Fullplate +4 for your with the same tier enchantment and piercing and slashing 10% immunities, with me adding 200 bags of gold.

The same goes about trading my suit of clothing for you pair of boots

And about trading belt I got which enhances charisma by 4 degrees for equally enchanted Wisdom item. Giving popularity of certain professions, I reckon you would be able to find a good and generous user for it.

I would also ask which bid on a cloak of fortification tier three you would consider acceptable. Maybe a fine Epic Sling of Stealth would be good trade?"

Jon Smythe listens closely as the dwarf—one of the two, it would seem— addresses the bidders, one by one. A mix of facial responses can be seen upon Smythe...from curiosity to doubt.

When the dwarf—such that one or the other takes to addressing him—responds to Smythe, the half-elf is taken slightly taken aback.

Smythe responds immediately in the Dwarven tongue, somewhat unpracticed and not fluid, but easily and correctly understood.

For someone that considers themselves an expert in items, this is laughable. A Druid? That's fine, I'll trade it to someone else.

"I can definitely trade the longswords onwards, but the gloves I cannot. I would rather see a trade not involving them at all. As for your proposed armor trade, I never do such trades. If I trade one item for a near identical one but worse, I lose the edge the original item had to begin with for virtually no gain. I'm looking for any other trade that equals it in value, not such trades Sir. The clothing has little value to me. It's virtually the same value as the robe I already put up for trade. Your belt has value, but you've already put forth that you're not trading it for anything of these things that you want.

The sling is also very difficult to trade onwards for me, and as such I would not value it highly at all."

"Hmm ... A disappointing answer. You've said you accept gold, yet do not appear to want it. Two and a quarter million is no trifling sum, so I assume it is not gold you are after, despite your claims. If you will accept gold, then by all means, tell me how much is adequate."
He pauses a moment before adding, "I do have this fine belt and ring, however I believe they are worth more than your two items ..." Draviir holds out the belt and ring so that only Karond can see them. "What do you think?"
