Is there difficulty levelling in epics then? Difficulty spike or lack of XP?
From what I understand it's a matter of risk/reward. It's probably so much saver to just farm easier mobs not risking to die that it doesn't make much sense to farm in the epic areas at least alone... This however is only an assumption from what I read here and elsewhere... Not been epic on any character for ages

It use to be that pre epic you could get 40-50xp a kill for non boss mobs. High epics meanwhile got less then 10 per kill. Some boss mobs give better xp sure but a hundred nagas at 10 per plus 200 for the boss is far less then 50 per plus 100 for the boss.

I have to ask.... What else is there to do in such a game as this? You are either killing monsters, opening chests, running errands or RP'ing... So if you don't like grinding, questing or typing, what exactly do you enjoy doing in game? Or are you simply advocating for more XP across the board? Because if that is the case you should be happy. With the change to XP per kill and the increase in RP tick XP as well as the addition of several quests in Soubar and the Upperdark as long as you like at least one of those three things you are getting more XP! If you only like Fishing I suppose that's tough luck, but if that is all you like their are far better games for that!

Maybe he was referring to liking a challenge as in fighting more dangerous creeps to get some thrill out of it?

I get the impression that it should be read as "or" instead of "and".
As in "Some people don't like grinding, some others don't like questing and another bunch of people really dislikes typing."

I forgot.
There's a fix that needs to go in for Wildshape, I'll do them both at the same time, but it probably won't be tonight.

There may be some further fine-tuning and tweaking needed for specific areas or specific level ranges but overall this should mildly increase leveling speed overall.
Levels 1-20 are great! Levels 21-30 are not getting a thing yet. It is still the same 20XP or so in group per kill level. It is my belief that the Epic Levels need a lot more love when compared with the XP rate 1-20 are now getting. THe reason is this. Epic levels did not get a boost. Not one bit. It is still the same and still makes questing the only viable way to level up with any normalcy to feel like it is not taking years to do. Problem is I hate questing. Like it will cause me to quit hate. I am a grinder when it comes to leveling up. That is what I do and the grind is soul stealing. LIke put you to sleep bad. Please for the love of everything that is my soul can we fix this? PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU FIX THIS MONSTROSITY!?

This was the original reason I suggested an XP bank (and others have suggested as well) in the past Calodan. It doesn't increase the rate of XP gain, but allows for a 'different strokes for different folks' approach. Once you have depleted the pool the XP is all the same as it ever was, but while that pool is available, you gain XP more quickly. If you want to quest, fine, XP comes out of the pool...However, if you don't like to quest that's cool to, go RP or adventure (or both!!!) and you still get the XP out of your pool, no questing required.
I did recently bring this topic back up QC side and, as always there is different view points. The downside to an XP pool is that it does required development effort, but the upside is that it (should) make those that don't want to speed up leveling happy while also making those that don't like questing happy. Leveling rate would stay the same, but without requiring (but still allowing!) questing for XP.
Other servers have implemented such mechanics so maybe we could ask them for their code and then just tweak it for our server, I honestly don't know... I do think this would provide the best approach though in order to allow support for different play styles to gain levels while having fun, but not actually increase the speed with which levels are gained.
Once implemented (if implemented) it would also make it far easier to tweak later by increasing/decreasing the weekly pool as needed.
