The idea is to use these sprites to create a map... But I'm also considering making an 'Almanac' of the Sword Coast and use these as art for the book.

It's nice really, easily recognizable. But now I'm wondering what will be the sprite(s ?) for Baldur's Gate itself :D

That's where *clang clang* originated from. ;)

When Rokranon stopped playing Jonas, I decided to adopt the clanging for Karl. :D

Those look good... but say... if you get enough practise... how about updating the graphics of the comic as well? (I always demand too much.)
