Man... system says to me that the game is up, but I can't connect. This has been happening sporadically the last couple weeks. Am I missing something?

are you useing the right IP?

I think there's a pretty substantial lag between the information reported in the forums (and the client extension list). If you compare the time above to the server heartbeat time, though, you can usually tell. At this point it's been over five minutes since "heartbeat."

And yes, I'm using the right port. Just wasn't sure if there was a huge lag between the crash and the server listing.

Just to note, you cannot use the game.bgtscc.net address to connect at the moment. You have to use the full IP and the port.

Connection's still intermittent or laggy at times as in response to our latest changes the attacker upped the ante (and the strength of his attack to 500+ mbps) but the server managed to stay up through the onslaught at least. It's progress, and we're still tweaking things to improve them, so it should get better over the coming days.

Crash at 22:40 GMT and 23:13 GMT, both times recovering and server back within a few mins.

If he is nailing you with 500+ downstream traffic, you should be reporting that. It is a massive abuse of resources to your ISP and they may try doing something to assist provided you can give them enough logs.

At least in Canada you can actually have this brought forward to authorities and have them doing something.
