We of the White Mask Theater proudly announce the addition of our newest member, La'faela Everlime! aka Fae.

Many of you may have already met her at the Friendly Arms where she loves to entertain passersby with song and rhyme.

Now come visit her at the White Mask in Baldurs Gate as well!

Posters are set up by The White Mask Theater of the upcoming Midwinter Celebration. When people stop to read, they will notice the snowflakes inside the poster begin to fall like real snow.

I, Tia Blake am new in town and would very much love to perform on stage at the White Mask Theater. It is such a lovely place. Ni would also like to join the Performers Guild if one still exists. If one does not, is there interest to resume such a guild?your humble bard,

The White Mask seems to be busy of late .. it seems there are one or two productions nearing the preparation stage.

A truly-irritable elf man wrapped in a brown cloak slinks into the White Mask Theater looking positively appalled by...something. He delivers a tightly-rolled scroll sealed with wax stating only, "For the director," and practically runs out of the building afterward. As he walks through the doors, he can be heard to say, "I'm a wizard, not a flaming post rider!"

A bouquet of tulips is delivered to the White Mask Theater by courier. The presentation of the delivery seems to be of exquisite nature boasting a variety of bright colours and tied with a golden ribbon. Accompanying said bouquet is a small folded piece of parchment addressed to Lady Vhaire and sealed with the personal crest of a thorned rose.

A sandy-haired girl with a face full of freckles asks for a woman by the name of Selis. A letter is left for her before the courier departs.

Selis has returned to Sembia for an indefinite stay. Herran Hymn has assumed his prior position as Director, so all business should be conducted through him or Assistant Director Nea. We apologize for any inconvenience.

This thread is used for general Theater RP and other kind of celebrations. The Theater has not hosted a show for a while (if you follow the rumours, there have been Director changes and such) but were providing the Sunite event yesterday with songs! Theater events are always posted about in one of the threads here in the Elfsong.

And so it was, that the Drummer of the Storm, took to the stage, on the night of the performing on the theme of 'Change'.

Upon the stage, he held out his drum before him, at arms length, pointed at the audience room. Then, from left to right, he waves it out at the audience members, slightly shaking it as he does....*

"I drum....for the Queen..." he now says, his head and eyes slightly lower. His right hand begins to move, coming down upon the drum skin, in a low, undulating beat...steady and low toned...wave...of a beat is held by his drumming hand, as he begins to speak in a half-sung voice.

• ...And it is because so many fail to pay tribute to this God

The drumming abruptly ended, as the last words were spoken. Telia Navra looks at Herran, raising an eyebrow at him. Herran Hymn, sighs. The Drummer of the Storm slowly, he lowers his drum to his side. Sani blinks, leans back suddenly and then mutters, a bit to loudly: "he pointed the finger all on his own at..." blinks then, and abruptly stops speaking, and stares at him, the Drummer, in shock. Herran Hymn says "...changing of the waves *claps* may they forever stay in the water..." then, chuckles. Ameris Santraeger stares up at the stage. Zeno Zelot laughs loudly once more at the performace—"Good show lad!". Luke Darius, claps. Lady Narasida Zakine, applauds politely.


After the long silence.....the Drummer begins to speak, again, in a normal voice:

• Look at you...you all.....
  Sitting here, playing at play....
  While the people die, each and every day....

Herran Hymn, begins to say: "fine performance sir ...save speeches for the streets however..." Terri Lalani, blinks confused but no longer nervous looking. Laitae Lafreth, facepalms.

• Fancy clothes, wine....gentle kisses....
  And the people...die.

Herran Hymn calls out: "Sir! ... time for the next performance!" Terri Lalani, calls out: "I didnt see you at hilltop looking for the source!" Relleck Fallstar, laughs aloud.

• You...*he looks out at the audience*...are to blame

The Drummer says...then stops.

Terri Lalani, says: "Anyway..." Ameris Santraeger, his lips grow thin. Herran Hymn, now on the stage and next to the Drummer, offers a firm pat on the shoulder. Cheryl Mae Castillo, shrugs slightly to her companion, and shakes her head indicating she hasn't a clue. Zeno Zelot, says: "Alright lad you made your point!" and is still laughing. Laitae Lafreth, says: "This from the man who stands in the plaza all day, drumming." Gunnar Vintarskjold, says: "His clothes does seem awfully fine to comment like that." Herran Hymn, says: "then blame me ... " Telia Navra, narrows her eyes at Lusca but holds her tongue.

The Drummer turns to look at Herran Hymn who is next to him...then, does not linger, and walks from the stage, back to the main chamber.

Sani, stares at the Drummer. Herran Hymn, says: "the stage now belongs to another..." Edmund, says: "Might want be settin a limit on ales at shows. Be the least funny drum-jester I ever see." Herran Hymn, comments: "I.... and many others ... have been in the docks ... spreading cures and healing..."

As he walks to a place at the back of the room, the Drummer looks at each in the face, as he walks past them. Sani, her look of shock and Lusca turns to one of pity. Cheryl Mae Castillo, gazes back impassively, and probably sips at her wine before turning her attention to Terri. Ameris Santraeger, stands as Lusca passes. Telia Navra, reaches for Ameris' arm, trying to place a hand on it, to hold him back. Zeno Zelot gives Lusca a thumbs up from the balcony.

As he passes by Ameris, he pauses...as if he feels something that might happen. Ameris Santraeger, resumes his seat. Ameris Santraeger smooths down his tunic, and he looks back to the stage.

The Drummer of the Storm, sensing no threat in the past few seconds...he chuckles to himself...and moves on to stand near the back benches.

THE FESTIVAL OF HIGHCOIN

Excitement begins building as word of Highcoin's approach on the morrow spreads. The venue for the celebration will be the White Mask Theater's interior floor and gardens, where there will be feasting, h'ordeuvres, performers, poetry readings, and praise widely given to the wealthy merchants and lords of the city and the region at large.

The opulent gathering is intended to raise money for Spheres, an event in the next tenday where the coins collected at the charity event are distributed to the poorer districts in the city, raining from the skies.
