Welcome! As always, if you have questions just ask! Plenty around here who are happy to answer (the quality of the answers, however, will vary from person to person).

Hello guys, I am new to the server and NW2 altogether. Over all game looks super confusing atm and I tried to look for a beginner's guide but couldn't find one. For example, I made a character and wanted to delete it ,but didn't know how to get to Nexus to do so. Also, quests has no destination indicators etc on the map?

Yes, finding information on the forum is tough, I copied once a post from years ago and the quests might have changed. Added new information in brackets.

As for indications that would be spoiler heavy. And exploring is part of the game. However any veteran in game or over a PM here, will help you gladly. Among them me.
Hidden: show
Hidden: show
Baldur's Gate
Merchant League - Elad - Stolen Goods (go to northern farmlands, a bandit cave)
Docks District - Guy on docks - Deliveries to Maltz, Aello, etc
Docks District - Captain Flint - Missing Crew
Docks District - Fist Headquarters - Kill Sharptooth Orc Chieftan
Docks District - Lord's Alliance entrance - Fetch Weapons (palace district Gond temple)
Temple District - Lady Adora - Find stolen bracelet (hint look for a boy in the docks)
Ragefast's House - Ragefast - Wyvern Egg (south off Beregost)
East District - woman by blade and stars - Stolen Ring in sewers max lvl 8 (max lvl has disappeared I think)
East District - Otto - Mishap at the Mines (Cloakwood Mines lvl 2)
East District - Kaydi - Collect bear hides (no xp quest just gold)
East District - woman by gate - Collect berries from Ulgoth's Beard island (get there via boat)
East District - Maltz's Shop - Delivery from Beregost
Outside East Gate - Jorn - Collect wolf hides (not xp only gold)
Outside East Gate - Farmer Thom - Catch the mole (actually a rat named dodger, and the quest bugs a lot - thus you only do it once ever)
Outside East Gate - Farmer John - Stuff the scarecrows
Graveyard - Guy in building - Collect undead remains (is now outside the graveyard where the beginner merchant is, farmland east)
Graveyard - Guy in building - Letter delivery (from Hilltop Ruins to Farmland East, might be bugged sometimes)

Friendly Arm Inn - Cook - Lizard Egg (Cloakwood Mines lvl 3)

Candlekeep - Tanner - collect troll hides #1 out of order (actually in order again, a box outside Candlekeep)
Candlekeep - Tanner - collect troll hides #2 out of order (the same as above)

Beregost - Jaspen McGee - Find Radger the Badger (look for it all around Beregost)
Cave on road north of Beregost - the two halflings - Find their ring

Nashkel - Hunter Harrow - Get supplies from Beregost (directs you to the inn in Beregost)

The Sandwitch - quest giver is a witch on the way to Ulgoth's Beard. (the items are all around Ulgoth's Beard, hint: cave, guard tower, lighthouse)
Bats in the Theater Attic - quest giver is the handyman in the White Mask Theater, max lvl is 15. (basement)
Basil's Mushrooms - The cook in the Feldepost Inn, Beregost. (hate this one, there is a spoiler map in hints and tips)
Minotaur Horns - The smith in Beregost will buy these for 75 gold. (only gold no xp)
The Imp's Ingredients - Given by Grixxen in the Wood of Sharp Teeth (Cloakwood last map, nashkel foothills cave and minotaur labyrinth)

Noble/Temple district- Rat tails (only gold no xp)
Hilltop Ruins - Letter Delivery #2
(Hilltop Ruins - nice riddle there, for many unsolvable, but it is)

Soubar does have two quests from Lozeng and a halfling (forgot the name).
Don't take the quest from the innkeeper it is bugged.

Underdark Quests.. It's a bit dated but the only change is a new quest in the Mistlake Outpost from one of the svirfs there taht wants to get some materials in an adjacent area full of earth elementals, CR 20).

And there is a thread about the quests in the Upperdark.

Durlag's Tower does have several quests too, some are only for high epic lvls or in group (I heard this is doable by surfacers and UD chars).

Hello community,

I played NWN1 long ago on a RP server called 3kds. I fell out of gaming for a bit around the release of NWN2 so I don't have much experience with it. I am, however, an experienced role-player and looking forward to getting back into it through this amazing world!

I haven't decided exactly what type of character & story I'd like to play. I am leaning towards something Underdark related as I love the lore. If anyone has any suggestions for me: My ears are open!

Looking forward to making many friends :)

Cheers

Hey, just found this. I'm level 14 now, but still feel pretty new to nwn2, and all of BGTSCC's custom content. I play Nedrin Starbrow in game, so if you're not an evil necromancer feel free to come RP! And even if you are, go ahead :P

Hello all!

Considering joining, but I'm curious to which Religious Factions/Factions in general are most active?

Cheers!

There are quite a number of active factions & temples, although exact numbers wax & wane depending on timezones & play times.

The most active guilds are the ones with recent posts either on their Guild Pages or else their RP Pages: Surface & Underdark respectively, not including some of the more secretive guilds that probably do more in-game RP than forum RP(eg. Thieves' Guild, Zhentarim, Red Wizards of Thay, Harpers, Church of Shar), all of which have fairly decent activity at the moment it seems 8-)

Welcome devolger555! I hope you have fun here. You will find plenty of your compatriots already frequent our server and should find no difficulty getting into some RP.

Hey there, folks. I recently remembered that I own NWN2 from quite a while back and was impressed to see that there are still large communities for such an old game. I'm a big fan of online RP, but I have more or less no specific knowledge of the workings of the game itself and I'm not sure about the specifics of 3.5e DnD versus other versions. Will I still be able to get into the server, or am I going to be hopelessly lost?

Also, when I try to connect, I get an error message along the lines of "unable to find host for server file X." Do I need to download them manually?

Hello and welcome !

No, you shouldn't have to download anything manually but bugs happen, please say which file it is :)

The file in question is "Campaign.CAM". I tried downloading it manually from the thread but nothing changed.

http://www.filedropper.com/campaign

Try this link and then drop the file in C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\Campaigns\BG folder.

Tried, but it's still not working, sadly. I'd link to some images but I'm apparently not allowed to.
