I figure the fact that he conceals his features is functionally a mitigating factor that I've been playing around to avoid turning him into a completely disgusting individual in terms of habits and behavior.
You know...i never noticed Rastin was a Teifling

Heh, it's pretty explicit in his examine description, but it's in such a way that it's mainly OOC info. There's probably only two characters that know IC that Rastin is a tiefling (and a couple of metagamers).

Berenger is a decent character. Slightly annoying personality that generally doesn't take it too far, meaning that characters can be annoyed without players being annoyed.

Never tried this thread. I'm going to start out easy on myself and ask about Aston, since he's already gone.
Does anyone remember the happy Helmite? I retired him because he just started feeling like a parody of himself. Also, Rokranon confided to me that he couldn't stand Aston ICly or OOCly, lol. And when Rokranon can't stand your paladin, you know you're doing SOMEthing wrong.
What did other people think? Yea? Nay? Meh?

Nah, missed out on that because of my CE Paladin induced hiatus.

I'm pretty new to this server and overall am very happy with the amount of people who RP and stay IC. The problems I've ran into are people godmoding with RP or metagaming and then justifying it by some RP means. Or someones friend/girlfriend doesn't like your character and so other people metagame/come after you and make up unjustified RP reasons for doing so.
Another problem is rudeness, there is a way to RP evil/mean/low charisma characters without using it as an excuse to be a douche whenever humanly possible, which I also see often. Lastly cherry picking dice rolls in your favor is another issue. For instance if I try to diplomacy you and you counter with a concentration check just because that number is really high is not just bad roleplaying....it's bad metagaming and it happens often.
With that said I've ran into more RP'ers then I can count that have made this experience extremely enjoyable and have also learned from them. Keep being awesome and many thanks to all the DM's and their awesome events, I've already managed to catch 4 of them.

What do people think about Hoihe and Desake? What i've found is Hoihe acts rather differently when around people he trusts, then differently around people he respects, and again rather differently around ignorant people... Sometimes those different ways to act fuse together in a rather strange manner *cough*Sun elf soap feeding*cough*.
Those characters are meant to be true[Hoihe] and lawful neutral[desake] both with a strong personal code of honour.
///Hoihe's cha score is NOT 8 any more, it's 10. I'm just lazy to touch my build.

Aston was fun. Refreshing to see a simple soul without much brooding and/or secrecy =D

So... now that Hoihe's met a few more people... What do you think of him? Also... side note, his CHA score has been fixed... though his inability to be understood could contribute why it was 8

I think he was stuck in the early 1990's, or maybe a surfer. Duuuude. Maybe not cannon, but I found him entertaining.

For those of you famiiar with Mateo, I would love some feedback. Anything you think, if anything, would be awesome!

While Tahlia doesn't always get along with him, I do very much like him as a character.
The criticisms are fairly superficial, though.
- Sometimes you type a little too fast, which can get difficult to catch up with. Although it could just be that Mateo is incredibly talkative. If that's the case, emoting his talkativeness when it gets quite extreme could be a good idea.
- Some of his ideals are a little 21st century. This is a pretty subjective criticism, because it's unavoidable that your character is going to have modern attitudes. However, from what I've conceived of him, he has no real dislikes/distrust of different races and the like. However it does make for some interesting roleplay, because it tends to make Tahlia respond to him like he is some sort of anomaly. That being said, this is not necessarily a criticism, but merely just a point that I've noticed.
On the bright side, I really like your roleplaying of playing music across many taverns across the trade way, not to mention the epitome of goodness he has (I'm pretty darn sure he's Neutral Good, because that's what seems to shine through to me.)
