A fair moon elven lady is seen passing by the library-entrance, leaving a message on the counter.

"Dear Lady Isabella,

I hereby contact you, according to the information given to me through various relating associates of ours. To name a one, a particular swordsman, sworn to battle for love(?!).

Needless to say, I find it truly abhorrent inconvinient to learn of the fact, that the cost of admission for the library is nomore -or less than a tome worth a considerable amount of coin (Not in my current position). To add to this conundrum, such admittance would only allow for a single inspection.

To my high fortune, I have learnt that some associates of this said library can alleviate some of this cost to some degree.

Let us find common grounds in this issue, and discuss the matter at an appropriate hour.

Yours truly,
Belarawiel E'Litafaer, a scholar of the arcane, practissioner of the schools of magic"

A letter is left at the library desk addressed to "The Skolars of Candle Keep"
The seal bears no symbol and the letter within is written in large letters, poorly formed, and spelled.

25th Day of Eleint, 1351

I wuld seek the asistance of one of your skolars to reserch an item that has come into my hands.

A blue-robed figure entered Candlekeep and immediately made her way to the central library complex. Upon entering the library foyer she turned to the left and knocked upon the door of Reader Laitae La'freth and waited patiently to see if she was in or not.

Guide Teo answers the knock asking the woman what she needs. He tells her Reader Laitae is probably in the Plane of Air where she spends much of her time.

On this occasion, however, Laitae is indeed on the Prime, and has been for some time, though rather occupied with magical research. Laitae would gladly receive Aeili.

The Mystran priestess gave pause to Guide Teo's words and then turned at the sound of Laitae's voice.

"Sister! It is so good to see you! It's always hit and miss when I come here to visit. I am here on important business, mind you, but I can spare a little time to catch up before I use as much of the time permitted me by the Gate Warden, ten days I believe?" she said with an impressive smile and excitement in her eyes. She turned with appreciation to the Guide of Candlekeep.

"Thank you Guide Teo, although you may be interested in a copy of my recent lecture series on the history of magic which I gave to En Dharasha's apprentices," she told him while producing four brand new tomes from one of her shoulder-slung bags. "I also have with me an additional access fee to the library proper; I shall hand it on to Librarian Demetrius."

"Laitae, if I might have a few words with you?"
Aeili added and she turned back to face her colleague and friend.

The young woman Shandril Brightmantle has rented a room at the Candlekeep inn and daily walks up to the library requesting to speak with whomever might be in charge.

The few that has spoken with her would know she seeks admittance to the library for academic purposes and brought with her a rare and original volume on the subject of magical interwoven musical components, a study on sound frequencies and the magical properties they can hold.

She happily displays the tome to the curious readers, though she is reluctuant to let anyone read it and extremely cautious as to who even gets to hold it, she is often heard saying:

"It is a ponderous tome really and offers a whole new perspective on the field.. but I also brought a collection of poems and songs to the Moonmaiden, far less intriguing of course and I was hoping this book would be an acceptable donation to this fabled institute of learning."

An average built middle-aged man enters Candlekeep gates, then comes to the Library entrance. He would approach Librarian Demetrius and tell him hes is known as Tad, and on behalf of Phoenix Company (he would present his pin) looking for maps of area alongside River Chionthar, apparently from Wyrm's Crossing to a dozen miles to of Baldur's Gate.
He would ask for two copies, and that it is urgent.

Demetrius explains to the gentleman the terms and pricing for the transcription of said maps, at a rate of 1000 per page. It will take up to a week for the transcription of such detailed maps. If this is acceptable, we can begin immediately.

Tad hesitates.

"It may be to long. Safety of Duchal lands and the Gate citizens depend on it. If there is no way it can be done faster - we have no other choice but accept. If it could be, though, we would agree to increase the pay."

The Archbardess Merlara is spotted at Candlekeep dropping of a rather large collection of tomes, Not to the keep its self oddly enough but to the priest of Oghma. Its likely the priest would then give them to the keep but one has to wonder why she didn't.

Tad would be coming and asking about how ready maps are.

Maps are completed, transactions made and given to Tad.
