Patrol with Everwatch, better term investigation journey
Present: Watcher Wai Li, Gil, Sinoc, Sirion, Shandril and me
It was decided after Sirion's suggestion to investigate some remote island group off the coast. Pirates and outsiders were mentioned. Sirion was our guide. We were cautious and visited a handful of islands but mostly saw a lot of sand.
There were some pirates and huge crabs. Also the water is quite deep so water breathing is essential to have along. Part of the group made it back to shore earlier and the rest of the group encountered a stranger who mentioned a key and a lost treasure in a hidden cave as we were departing.

You wanted a raft, Mizz.
Got it ready in Greenest whenever you need it.
Had my lads hammer something together - Seems solid enough to me.
Don't require any thanks but a kiss would be nice.

I saw that damn deer again, conspiring in the farmlands with a citizen. The deer was obviously acting suspicious and when we approached told the man 'quite I think I hear someone'.. dead giveaway for crimes if you ask me.
The man the deer was talking to said he would get the goods so long as the deer was good for his end.. that's all I have.
I tried to tackle the deer but.. no well thought out plan equaled me winded at the other end of the farms.
At the end of my tracks Lord Fenix was there to chide me for chasing it exclaiming it was just a deer, and obviously a good one. The same sentiments from the new to town elf Farda..
I put up posters.. they look stupid.. any help apreciated

Meredith, I think.
19th Tarsakh, 1358 DR
It has been a week since my return to the company and the coast, nothing outside the usual has caught my eyes in my day to day activities so far; The news about the war up north is still foggy to me but i am sure as things move much will be revealed.
I did notice an increase in adventurers exploring some of the nearby regions of the gates, unexperienced people in my eyes, but it may be something the Vanguard want to look into and possibly recruit a few aspirant rangers.

My sister and I in the company of a dwarf who is steel encased, even his eye ports, set out from Nashkel into the Cloudpeaks, whereupon a Paelthree was found to have been summoned by a Micha, female human who appears to invoke necromancy where possible. She went on to identify a elven male in company named Celith, found to cast necromancy spells of the enfeeblement consideration - focused, and the empowered vampiric touch repeat casts of a female elf named Yasia. Vilchi dispatched the Paelthree whereupon the party then pretended that it was not in their service to aid in attacking a Yeti before shuffling off toward the Lizard caves of Amn.

Vilchi.
Twenty-sixth of Tarsakh, 1358 [April 27th, 2022]
Olesya made urgent sending for my person in the Reaching Wood near the Eldath Shrine in mentioning of the Dhaerow Aunrae and possibility someone was there to remove her from this realm.
We arrived and with guise of invisibility observed the gathering of three Elves and a Dhaerow. An annoying one with feathered hat now known as Fadra, the male Kethelis, and a male Teu'tel'quessar now known as Faelyn. he held wounds while the others were unharmed. They were gathered and speaking though the words I could not hear from where we stood in invisibility. Our presence was alerted by my use of a true sight wand, and they placed on aid to see us.
The annoying one stepped near to my nose and began bulldozing questions. To sum it came to our attention that the annoying one seemed to assume I was in connection to the Captain with no visual knowledge or my saying so to them, having only met them a day or two prior. When inquired they deflected with calling us bandits and stating they tired of the conversation. The Lieutenant had a scry within the area that the Dhaerow tried to chase like a male dog sniffing out a female in heat. No aggressions were had on either side and eventually they left. If there is more that be deemed important, the Lieutenant can add further.
I would suggest Olesya go over where the lands of Baldur's reach end as well as the laws of it. Statements regarding those were made when we were well out of the area. And the places they named to teleport to.. Nashkel and the Spades residence are in neither.
There is also suggestion that the Vanguard should work into returning the Laws of Nashkel as they once were, with intent of making sure the Dhaerow does not use the fair city as a place of residence, especially if we are stationed there. One less place for it to burrow while under Corellon's Protection.

Doan Reports:
"I had it that before this instance was one off.. when a deer taunted me I thought this was the gods playing a cruel joke, now I am certain my experiences will have implications to the rest of the sword coast. I will keep this short and to a point. I was drawn into a fey land by a rabbit who spoke to me about blight, upon entering a portal fashioned from the rabbit's hole I arrived to a land of fey with Rose of the white mask. Our first time there we met an entity known as the "Old Soul" according to the rabbit. Old Soul was absorbing blight of the fey land and seemed to be tiring of it. The rabbit informed us that if Old Soul became too tired the animals of the area would go into a blood rage.. we left and a deer escaped with us. scribbled out words can be read by anyone with a .. spot of 20 (gotta PM me tho). That deer is set on doing crimes in the area, but it's not my greatest worry at this point, despite it mocking my beard and holdin me up for money. Today, we returned to the fey land at the request of Valduil a scout of great skill and with a golden smile. We found the fey land rotten and dead, with the animals looking the same. We discovered a portal and upon Rose casting a spell to determine it's destinations she found it was to be many indeterminate places.. places for the blighted animals to escape as the rabbit tells us. The portal closed and the animals went blood crazy attacking us, so we fled.. and killed many on our way out. We did not land where we started but instead came out near the minotaur cave and discovered what could be one of many escaped blighted fey animals.. a fiery treant as tall as a watchtower. We downed it but the thing spewed fire and burned many trees and the ground. We successfully put the fire out with mundane means such as stomping and tossing dirt on it. We will seek someone the called "Blighter" a man who is possibly spreading this disease here on the coast. Apparently an ex druid turned against his way of balance to favor this blight, early thoughts are it could be a Talona worshiper. Please be alert, please be safe, please send if you see anything amiss akin to what I have described.
May the sun shine warmly on your face,
Doan

Supplies originating from Baldur's Gate are destined for aiding the war effort. It is imperative these supplies arrive to allied forces. Suggestion is to outnumber where possible, cunning application of spell and positioning, as well as an incredibly high amount of outward scouts.
??? please discuss this matter with Michael Dunn as soon as you can as I will want you in charge of logistic management on the field.
Michael Dunn Please contact the supplier as soon as you can on the details of the mission, and formulate as well as plan your scouting team.
Derian, ????, Doan, please work to assure that we may be able to additionally draw in members of friendly organizations of the Vanguard and the Gate for increasing our martial numbers.
Olseya and ???? please work together with Ran'all Cobb on Hindsight divining and historic troop movement through the Reaching Woods.

Olesya.
29th of Tarsakh, 1358.
Its the second week after my return to the coast, some events are starting to unfold rather fast. Beside what was already been reported in he company ledger, i've met a mage named Micha who claim to be of celestial heritage, we spoke for some time and she was eager to know more about me as a mage and told me about a prophecy that "her master will soon return.". She told me that prior to her arrival at the sword coast she was at Mulhorand, a land not far from my home, to the far east.
During our last meeting we discussed the possibility of a dragon heist due to the recent draconic activity surrounding the war zone. I am yet to meet with Derien to discuss about the armament we are to use against the wyrm. In parallel i will also see what books i can find about dragon behavior that could give us clues about its lair and favorite type of treasure.
I have the draw made by Fierlith of the glyph found on the Captain's body but i am yet to find someone able to make some sense out of it, candlekeep was of no use so far.
Also Michael is apparently a duck.

Derik of Bladestone, Furuki of Rocky Creek, Malakai of Vanguard and Rocky Creek, Fierlith, The Micar Sisters, Michael Dunn, Alton, all of Vanguard.
Delving into the depths of the Nashkel mines we encountered two humans and an elf enslaved to mining therein by a Dreugar psionics cult. Whilst the initial oppressors were laid to rest, the minds of those affected is unfortunately not recoverable and have been escorted to Beregost for their stay. Further information on the findings pending.

The rumors are true, Candlekeep's Petting Zoo is open, with Aunrae the main attraction.

Teris, Carah, Oth, Nathan, Yashe, "Sizzle" were encountered within the Ilmater temple, Oth's final invocation of the spell "Scrying" expressed and determined a potential location of the origin of the 'hag' and her sisters - identified as a potential source of the disappearing children of the Balduran streets. They departed post warding to destination unknown to me though the word 'house' was used.

It is discovered from discussion between Aunrae and Kethelis in Candlekeep that the drow Urfindir was found considerably damaged and left for dead . Kethelis is named as the final assailant though others were in his company at the time. Hindsight forthcoming to glean more once I subtly determine the exact position.

3rd of Mirtul, 1358
I've found the drow's body, buried beneath rocks not far from where he was killed by Kethelis Throatril of Doron Amar, in the company of Edelgarde of Candlekeep, as well as Rain of House Vale. Upon further inspection and divination the drow Urfindir, prior to meeting his fate, was brought by a half drow female up the cliffs from the shoreline to the large rocks near the road. He was stripped of his eye, bound to the rocks, and left there. Kethelis and the other two companions would encounter him in his defeated state before Kethelis would finish him with a dagger, and in a manticore shape, sever the Drow's head.
A rough sketch is supplied of the scene I witnessed.
With Aunrae's presence at Candlekeep, I ponder potential dots to connect between the two events.

Third of Mirtul, 1358 [May 5th, 2022]
I have spoken with Stablemaster Sneil and the Vanguard has free of charge use of the stables for four horses for all the service and help provided to Nashkel, I realize we only have three. If we were to get another it will be covered.
I am still pursuing other places for stabling as well.

Runa Helvig, acting leader of the Halls of Inner Light, has agreed to act as a healer and protector for us in any actions lead against the black dragon, Vuthair.
She has also agreed to provide aid in scouting for the lair of Vuthair. Of note, he had in the latter part of 1357 harassed her repeatedly and tried to convince her to poison Baldur's Gate. He also has a macabe interest in petrified people posed into various forms of 'art.'
~Captain Dunn
7th of Mirtul, 1358
A productive day for the war effort. So far as we can tell, the Reaching Wood has no caches of drow equipment, and there is no effort by the enemy at current to harass supply lines. Aside from Darkhold, the only remaining garrison of Zhentarim troops is posted in Soubar because, as of today, the Whitewood Vanguard has fought for and won the Bridgefort.
I cannot express enough how proud I am for each of you in your efforts, we all had a part to play in this and we all contributed. The victory belongs to you, you brave souls. With Bridgefort liberated, that means Boareskyr bridge is once again free for all travellers and traders to move freely to and from across the Winding River, the only other nearby point of travel was the village of Winding Waters.
Runa, of the Halls of Inner Light, performed a commune with the land around the Reaching Wood but no sight or ken of the dragon. Mizzrym performed her Hindsight which revealed that the dragon left the ruined logging camp by a north easterly direction, either back toward Darkhold or somewhere else still.
Additionally, our scouting efforts in the moor produced no results.
May the wind bless you, and the roads ever be open to your feet,

Its that time again, Vanguard. My past is catching up and i must remain low for some time now, as requested upon our last meeting i have prepared a very special training for the Vanguard, as parting gift, this training was prepared with a dragon fight in mind, it was not easy to find the tools for the job but i did. I wish the Vanguard best of luck during the operation dragon heist!
PS: My parting gift was delivered to a odd gnome that refers to himself as the High Gnome.
