News soon spreads of rumors of one the Flaming Fist's elite soldiers seen staggering out of the Cloakwoods before finally succumbing to his wounds. In a feverish delirium the soldier was heard mumbling over and over to himself about thrice-cursed elves and demonic spell-casting druids.

Hearing of this, Captain Koruelve has ordered the patrols in that region be doubled, and for the perpetrators responsible for this heinous attack be bought to justice immediately.

Underneath a tree across the road from the temple of Bhaal two bodies lie. It is evident that they were dragged to the tree due to the trail of blood .They have been brutally and mercilessly murdered, hardly recognizable. Underneath a "Crusade Against Evil Poster" is pinned the following note, in what appears to be the blood of the victims.

Such is the fate of those who would oppose the Lord Bane.

*signed*

-The Dreaded Doom

Carved underneath the bloodstained note is Bane's symbol.

People now speak in all major cities of a young elven maiden that calls herself simply 'Cat.' They say wears a red dragon's hide and a shield made from the scales. They say she killed the wyrm and crafted it herself!

Another is rumored to wear a heavier mail from the same kill...

Series of events have shattered the common and high folk of Baldur's Gate feeling of security, within the city.

Talks have come of war in the underworld, rumours travel of Fist officers murdered in broad daylight, assaults, robbery, culprits left unpunished, whereabouts unknown. The parading of the cart bearing several corpses out of the Merchants League had a great impact on the onlookers, the white now blood stained sheets drawing gasps from those present. Such a blatant assault on a city's institution, left many in shock.

Dark alleyways are avoided, nobleman have locked themselves inside their small palaces and compounds, with Fist stationed at all times outside.

There is an atmosphere of insecurity and uncertainty in the air. Already the price of grain and bread has risen. Merchants line up in the Dukal Palace, demanding for more protection of their assetts and goods.

A women's corpse, bruised and battered was paraded outside the Fist Headquarters labeled as a traitor. Common folk threw stones, and rotten vegetables, which some poor homeless kids, quickly grabbed. The body was then dumped on the river as the trash it was. Several were able to recognize the features of the ruined face and body as belonging to a courtesan working in the West Harbour. A few instantly made a connection between her demise and one of her well known customers, Sir Andrew.

Such was a discrete ceremony, the burial of the low nobleman Sir Andrew, assassinated in Beregost, while conducting business. His wife was torn with grief, especially after being briefed by the family's bookeeper, as the poor Sir Andrew, was deep in debt.

The air is tense, people fear, there is an ill wind in the air, as the red dawn rises ominously each day, and the sun sets over the large lighthouse, and people wonder where or how this streak of violence will end.

((We will be meeting tomorrow night at around 8pm Central time at the Merchant camp for all who wish to join in.))

*Tales have it that the Fiend on the deal of an unknown man in red in the Wood of Sharpteeth, leads a couple elves on a fools quest into the ruins of the Minotaur; only to release a vile Balor onto the lands. Kneeling before the Balor she knows that the rewards of her Demon Lord Graz'zt will be far better than the rewards offered by the Man in Red.*

More rumors of the Banites' activities surface. Supposedly, they've recruited bajillions of orcs to their cause.

*A Number of soldiers were spotted at the Merchant Camp just outside of town, all veteran warriors that came in support of the Crusade. They spoke of the ill deeds of the Banites and laughed about what they should do to the temple when they rid it of its patrons.
The Elves showed there support as their General came with reinforcements, as Mercenaries also made their way to the camp, in hopes of pillaging the Temple. It was said that it brought a semi-smile to Sister Merielle, who has been fighting the evils of Bhaal to protect a child with only a few warriors to aid her. Now word has reached as far as Amn, and more Crusaders are thought to arrive from all around the region, all belonging to different Gods, but with the same goal in mind; push the evil from our homelands and back into the wilds.*

Rumors spread of the death of Vishnir Tirandez, the Dreaded Doom of Bane. It is rumored that his recent failures angered the Lord Bane and, as a result, he was swallowed into the abyss by the Black Lord himself.

To his allies this is a disheartening blow, the death of the Dreaded Doom is grave news indeed.

To those that were the Dreaded Doom's foes this is joyous news indeed! A long time champion of tyranny and hate has passed from this realm. For those who have ever been preyed on by him and his scythe Deathrender know of the fear such a depraved man can instill. Indeed, his merciless ways were what gained him such renown and respect from his Brothers. The forces of good rejoice on this day.

Several notable people in the Gate's society claim to have been attacked by a raving mad human wielding magic. Despite the human's ability to shape the Weave, he was easily bested by Roxanne Everquist and dragged to prison.

A letter is distributed by the Weave Masters indicating that Buzzga Gra'Kharzus, the female orc mage, has been brought to justice and beheaded before the Fist. Her dying words were "My soul for Bane!"
