Second that. Huge thanks to the guys on top. But also thanks to our community that help anyway we can to deal with such problems. Either by actively helping or by just being patient and understanding.

I just thought it was important to say a big thank you to Luna, Maecius and all the other members of staff for their time and patience with dealing with the recent troubles. I am sure all those that volunteer their time here to support us and have a little fun with the community didn't sign up looking to have to deal with these sorts of headaches.

I know I, and am sure huge number of others who come here, appreciate the behind the scenes efforts they find themselves having to go through now.

Thank you staff. Our fellow players might be the biggest reason we come back, but you are why we are able to be here in the first place.

I have really liked the long and engaging story line that DM Wagner has been engaging us in. It started with plague zombies in the northern lights in, and with motes. Before we started this story line, we were not engaging in the server in any meaningful manner.

The story line gave us something to RP with, and something to pull people into with also. Our last Slemjemm event pulled in 16 players. The one before that, 6 six players, before that 14 players. I believe these are some of the largest and most inclusive events on the server.

Many of the people being pulled into these Trust events do not see other DM events. We miss the plot hooks as they slide past for whatever reason. Others are players who do not have time to invest in a guild, and they can drop in on late friday night for easy fun.

The motes and the plague zombies are still with us. We are putting together connections now, slowly tracing it firstly to a pirate working for an undead Vampire.

Now we try to unravel what this Vampire Slemjemm is trying to do, while trying to kill her. What she is trying to achieve.

I am still trying to put together pieces, and figure out how to push past mote barriers. Our approach is not well thought out, just pry and keep trying ideas. But it is fun.

The events usually run in two phases. The first is very much an epic level event. This is not everyone's style. Lag frequently happens, but wagner is probably the best on the server of achieving epicness in an event with minimal lag. Small mistakes are punished with a quick trip to the fugue. But Wagner achieves an epic touch that somehow pushes the party to the limit, with any mistake resulting in body's piling up. Stupid things like spreading out and he jumps in for the kill. But we have a chance, and we have come back from single person surviving a party wipe. But the events push us, and they are fun, they are really the only challenge mechanically we get in this game. They are not every ones cup of tea, but we love them. We also have a large number of people who keep coming to them, who also love them.

The second phase of these events typically are a puzzle of some sort. The mote door ward puzzle does keep reoccurring, and we have yet to crack it. We know of a PC who knows the answer, but she is not sharing it with us. That is part of the fun to. But other puzzles are frequent also, many of which we have had more luck with then the motes one.

The last puzzle we destroyed the temple trying to enter it. And that was great! We all knew it was a risky, stupid choice, to try and blast our way in through the wall in the back with fire and magic. We knew it would be decided by a dice roll, and Wagner sets the odds on the roll. A safer idea could have been tried, but -shrugs-, we are not always a wise group.

Thank you Wagner for the time and effort you put in with us, we really appreciate it.

there are few DMs have the talent for flair that i see with Wagner. I recall in one of our earlier events when we first encountered the motes. it started off with shadows. but we proved no match for that so he ramped it up a notch....lol we had to bar ourself's into a room. when we opened the door he had his ambush all planned out, but we are no slouches at a challenge and we gained a foothold into the hallway, once i had an opening i was able to sneak back to the caster and we won the battle.

in another of his events we defended Guiligan. he has plague zombies coming up and a portal down the hill. Za'than finally just walked up to the gate at the end of one long battle and opened a gate inside that one....lol poof we won....

Sorry for the delay as I have had a lot to do yesterday...

... but I have to thanks Maecius for picking up the torch after Novus on the whole Gauntlet of the Loyal Fury-event, which was a continuation of the event where Eliphas was exposed and stole the relic from the Radiant Heart. Never easy to take over another one's work, but he did well. In fact, he did more than well. I gave him a bit of the info from my character's past and he nailed it almost perfectly the way I also had it in my mind.

It was a nice touch that everything went on somewhere in Eliphas' mind, with the other participants materialising themselves there as incorporeal beings, trying to win over his soul. Too bad for Team Good their arguments weren't good enough to reach into the last bits of the noble soul he once was. Instead he turned completely to the Dark Side and slayed a Champion of Torm with the godly powers of the Gauntlet, subdued the Champion of Bane and was about to succeed with what he had in mind... until an unlikely weakness was exploited and he was stabbed in the chest with a sword, losing control of the vast powers he commanded and was absolved into the Weave.

We got to see several episodes from his long life, witnessing the transformation of a noble knight to a ruthless dictator. Maecius had an uncanny understanding of my character that I thought nobody had... maybe he's truly evil and is just playing us for fools? :O

Anyway, thanks Big Mac. You showed me again why you are my favourite DM (something I told you many years ago!) even if it was a good while since you had done any major event!

I'd like to thank the players present for participating in Eliphas' retirement. Hope it gave you a good insight in my character and perhaps an explanation or two for why he said and did things the way he did.

If I can annoy Hidennka long enough, I'm sure I can get the CE-scripts from the event, so I can post it for everyone to read and enjoy.

I have to echo the post above in a big thanks to Maecius for a very involving event. I particularly enjoyed the RP fight (with tragic consequences) between the derring-do harper agent and the ruthlessly efficient Zhentarim assassin - all done with emotes!

The visions of Eliphas' past were very emotively put together and beyond that, that backstory itself was very engaging. Thank-you to Xanfyrst for that! As well as for inviting me along. Before all the revelations of deceit, Ameris once admired Eliphas for having the strength to do something he could never do; now the truth behind the lies is known and that truth certainly had impact!

I salute you for creating a compelling character, Xanfyrst!

Thank-you to everyone who came as well. It was fun to enter into this debate for a soul, and I think everyone played their characters well.

Real character development moments for a number of PCs (including mine, he was filled with hate until about half way through...) and the RP ripples arent settled yet, at all.
