As of late, I started to be a victim of heavy lags and timeouts as well. Is the server still under attack or is this caused by new security means?

^^^The attacks are pretty much done and gone. I am guessing the new server has something to do with your timeout issues. If you have a crappy connection then it will have issues with you. So basically you can run a Ping Test and Ping the server IP and see if you are getting a good response. A good response for Ping is 100 or lower. Anything above 500 is horrid. There are other issues to that I am not privy to but I just fixed my issue by getting a Verizon 4G LTE Can for my home and now I am surfing the net at respectable speeds and getting no lag in BG unless it is an all server event with all the DMs present.

Pinging 23.229.0.132 gives me "timed out" all the time. From 4 packets all are lost. No clue why. I don't have the fastest internet connection, but well enough: 1 gb/s.

I didn't have any problems besides some strange lag before, but now logging in is utterly impossible.

Two players in Spain are having a problem connecting.

It looks like something is going wrong in telefonica's network getting routed through Madrid.

I'm not sure if it's a global thing or just their trunk to the U.S.

I looked at them from my PC on the west coast of the U.S., and the server which is on the east coast of the U.S. and had neither worked well.
Latency was running from 400ms to 900ms.

Telefonica: some workers are striking right now, because they don't earn what they were promised. Might be related to our problems with this s.h.itty company.

Just opened a ticket with Telefonica. They think it is my router, but I really dont think so. Let's see what their answer will be.

Well, at last we have discovered it's not the server fault. Something's wrong with my ISP (hate you Telefónica  ). I'll try to solve it, but if someone discovers what the hell happens with Telefónica and these connections issues please let me know. In the meantime I'll play with my phone acting as a router.

Thank you very much to all the people that have helped me to try to solve this for their time :)

You can login through your phone? Now, that seems just odd. Shouldn't it be the same connection?

Not so strange. Some mobile phones have an option called "mobile hotspot" and they can act as a router; other phones or computers can access to the Internet by them. The data passes through it and goes to the computer. If you mean I'd not be able to connect to server by this way... well my Internet conexion at home and the mobile don't share the IP.

Looks like my connection issues are also somewhere on the way to the server. It appears the signal goes lost somewhere in the U.S. .
