After a succession of Free Companies helped recover a large shipment of stolen stone destined for Baldur's Gate local celebrities and some Free Company mercenaries were on hand to see local Dignitary Normann Nickelhausen oversee the dedication the new lintel stone for the recently constructed City Merchants Building. The actual dedication was carried out by a Cleric of Sune, as a paladin of that Temple had begun the recovery work of the stolen stone.

This construction reaffirms the many successes enjoyed within the City as a robust programme of rebuilding and renewed trade is taken forward. The theft of a purse from a noble within the crowd by the Thieves Guild was thankfully only a minor distraction and was soon recovered by free company mercenaries.

Tales of what is fast becoming an infamous robbery quickly travel the cost. The Midnight Sun Diamond has been stolen! This famous diamond of enormous size and clarity was somehow pilfered from a locked, heavily guarded and armored wagon. The theft is thought to have taken place in the courtyard of the Friendly Arm's Inn, where the diamond was waiting to be placed on display. The Midnight Sun was only noticed to be missing at the start of the jewelers fair when the diamond was supposed to have been shown to the public.

A fortnight ago a massive and mysterious mushroom cloud appeared out to sea. The cloud some claim may have been nearly a league in girth and was seen by thousands of citizens along the swords coast. Today officers of the Flaming Fist assigned to investigate the bizarre occurrence have officially released there findings to the public.

"The cloud was a natural phenomenon likely caused by seismic activity on the sea floor. It is in no way dangerous and has in fact created some truly spectacular sunsets to be enjoyed by the good people of the swords coast."

A new posting joins the collection that hang on the wall behind the bar at the Friendly Arms Inn. It is a crude and not very flattering drawing of a man, that resembles a fellow, who goes by the name Geoffrey. Below the drawing is a short description of the man and a boldly written message.

"According to the sworn testimony of two eye witnesses the scoundrel described in this post is allegedly a cold blooded murder. Guilty of killing an innocent merchant who was merely trying to sell his wares in front of this very keep. Let it be known, that under threat of death by beating, the man pictured above is here by Banished from the Friendly Arms Inn. Any fruit of his loin or any fruit of the fruit of his loin are also here by Banished. Any horses, dogs, cats, pets or any other live stock of any kind owned by this man are here by Banished as well. This Banishment shall last for a period of one thousand plus one thousand years."

or until Bentley Mirrorshade decides otherwise.

Thank you,
The Management

News travels along the coast of yet another robbery. This one unusually had a survivor who reports they were attacked by a Group who called themselves the Inquisition and waved banners of the Morning Lord. They summoned an Imp and laid the caravan to ruin. Authorities along the Coast investigating this outrage have stated they are keeping an open mind mind, and ask people not to take things into there own hands but to trust the Authorities to take appropriate action.

An unusual number of spiders have been seen along the Swords Coast. Many large forest dwelling species have been spotted close to populated areas. Locals surmise, it is likely the heavy rains driving them from there normal habitats. Except for a few missing chickens and small live stock, the spiders have done no more harm than to give many citizens of the Coast a case of the "Willys"

A strange rumour can be heard from travellers across the Sword Coast, as it seems kobolds have started to attack seemingly random wanderers through the wilds. Some attacks are said to be lethal, even. It is largely unknown what drove the kobolds to such a sudden outbreak of violence, though some say over the drinks at taverns that a mysterious "Kobold King" is leading them, to carve a realm of their own.

Most people simply laugh at that. It's just kobolds after all.

Kobold attacks seem to have grown more bold. They have been luring out travellers from roads and assaulting closer to settlements. Regions affected by the kobold war seem to keep in lands around Friendly Arms Inn, Lion's Way and around Beregost. Several hunters could be overheard at the Friendly Arms Inn speaking how the Kobolds seem to venture also thowards east for an unknown purpose.. as they think there's nothing but wildlands with little to know interest to anyone.

The koboldy warriors continue to cause problems.

New travels the coast of recent activity in the Mountains along the border with Amn. Members of the Inquisition returned to the Coast there on a mission to recover lost magic. By all accounts they seemed successful, for they made a public declaration that they would take no pay that others might better understand their intent of doing good along the Coast. Earlier suggestions they had been involved in an attack on wagons drifted away as blame was laid at the door of local bandits.

In other news Elves from Doron Amar were reported travelling across the mountains too. They exited in a hurry hard on the heels of the notorious Axeman and his gang of bandits. In a trade deal with Frost Giants it is said the elves brought peace to the Wild Winter Hills region at the foot of the Cloud Peaks.

Rumours persist the Five Captains have recruited a group of mercenaries for work around Roaring Shores.

In the wee hours of the early morning a Sembian Advance Scout by the name of Jules, comes stumbling from the Friendly Arm Inn. He is a pleasant man but his head is a swirl from what he could imagine was only to much drink. Jules tries to make light of his new found head ache recanting how he had a long discussion about Hin courting relations.

"Did you know when one Halfing wishes to marry another they steal .. or gift rabbit pelt? And if she is receptive of his pelt she would wear it! I swear this was told to me.. I even seen it in practice"

"Aye, it is true, ask around. Atleast in this part of the world I am told"

Jules headed out the Inn shortly after washing his face and taking a deep breath of morning. He was last seen wobbling down the Trade Way.
My personal view is in red, for I am fancy.

Two war machines packed for sea travel were delivered to Bentley Mirrorshade at the Friendly Arms. The group of adventurers that brought them also brought ill tidings. It was reported to Bentley that a Sembina High Duke might be on his way to capture the Friendly Arms Inn. He was also told that there may be as many as fifty to a hundred Sembian scouts and saboteurs prowling the Trade Way. Bentley Mirrorshade quickly saw to the unpacking of the war machines and has formed a local Militia. He is offering a bag of coin to all adventurers, willing to lend aid.

Kobold organised raids seem to continue on a larger scale- they have been sighted south of Nashkel, near the iron mines, as well as prowling through the Woods of Sharp Teeth. Remarkably powerful kobolds were reported to be sighted, leading the koboldy warbands. Although in most cases the kobolds engaged in near suicidal attacks, there are known lethal victims of their attacks in the wilds and on the roads.

Local trackers and hunters throughout the Coast seem to have created a list of known powerful kobold warlords:

-Grethrix, the Reaper; his tribe hiding somewhere within the Woods of Sharp Teeth
-Frixen Ice Scales; found dead in crystal cave near Nashkel Mines
-Jikrak, the Green; Persumed to be hiding with his tribe in Cloakwoods and raiding the Trade's Way
-Zigxax Black Bone; He and his tribe nest around the Lion's Way and the coastline to the south.
-Barrikrak, the Destroyer; He is said to be prowling with his tribe somewhere north of the Woods of Sharp Teeth
-Yaprip, Storm Scales; His tribe left his usual ground and disappeared somewhere in the east.
