Several of the parchments with the emblem of the Baleful Maw have been torn down, and scribbled on those that have, are the words 'Naer shall we die'.

"Well, well . . ."

A strangely dressed, helmeted, Drow can be seen taking the Baleful Maw's logo and looking at it intently for a moment. He stuffs the logo carrying the Maw's emblem into his pack, turning on his heel to make his way up the spire, and out past Varalla's Passage.

A hooded Svirfneblin was seen speaking with his kin, the merchant that stands regularly amongst the stalls in the heart of Sshamath. A few items in cloth bags were exchanged.

During the transaction, a small scroll of paper rolled out the back pack worn by the hooded Svirf, to sit near the Svirf Merchant's stall, but it's loss unseen by either.

After the two parted ways, any that would have come upon the scroll, and any that would choose to open it out of curiosity or what ever, would find a sketch, in a waxy crayon, of the city itself...in one way complete, but obviously not finished to represent the entirety of the known Underdark.

Leave it to a Svirfneblin to idle away his time with maps...

There was a commotion in the Bazaar last cycle, where a male and a female was involved in what has been described as a fight by some, ' being unable to wait' by others and a Ithic the Illithid has claimed that the female was about to 'eat the male's face off'.

No matter what the truth is, few of the merchants that were present seem all that willing to part with the names of the two, even as there seem to be a general agreement on whom was involved. Seems that at least one of them is a steady customer and a bad haggler. A winning combination in a trader's eye.

Supposedly there is a poster bearing the official mark of the Seventh Circle on the billboard by the spire.

In short the Seventh Circle wish to hire a divine healer for a medium term assignment beyond the city limits. Curiously the note mentions dancing as meritous.

In any case, anyone interested in such a job should seek out the scout Sussuri at the Elixir.

//PM works too.

Unpractised flute music have been heard around the dark weaving baazar these last cycles. That in itself is not remarkable enough to start rumours, but it is said that the player of the instrument must be listening to something completely different than what is being played.

There is also the fact that several of the Merchants have been directing angry remarks at the auctioneer, whom is said to have been the one to find a buyer for the flute, and is thus, indirectly, responsible for their annoyance at the irritating sound.

Some perceptive townsfolk are said to have seen a limping, wounded female trying to blend with the crowd in Sshamath's market. Her once master craft leather armor was full of punctures and burns, her face covered by a hood and mask, with red eye dots looking for cover. Drips of blood trailed her movement through the city.

A slight sleight of hand has removed an item of one of the market goers, what gone unnoticed by the victim. Some say she was heard saying: "Must... cover... tracks..." She has moved towards the open sewer entrance, where she fell in, at the brink of her consciousness. The ones wanting to see her down the hole only saw the strong current of sludge and a passing mustard ooze that spit into the eyes of one of the bystanders. Not that anybody cares for the common folk anyway...

News of that event have quickly spread around Gloura's Wings, where such gossip would find ears willing to listen.

Whispers ebb through taverns and caverns alike, that anyone skilled in the use of blade or tongue keep a sharp eye and deft ear. Bregan D'aerthe members attend most populated gatherings appraising the potential of the clientèle.

The green clad Jalil was seen in Gloura's Wings, getting money from an Alu last cycle, and strangely enough trying to nibble on it's tail. The Alu left, and the jalil seemed rather happy about her payment, whom several of the patrons can attest to being substantial. Still, those who know of her said that there were something a bit 'off' about her . . .

DM Asgorath wrote:There was much fuss at the Temple of Lolth of Sshamath today, as three drows were seen attempting to open a gate leading to another plane.

Something went terribly wrong, the gate leading the four to the Abyss itself, before the temple's yathrins quickly closed it to prevent a demonic invasion in the city. After a couple of tense hours, a gate opened again inside the Temple, but this time only two drows emerged, a jalil and a jaluk, both deeply traumatized and injured.

The Charnag Maelthra has arrested the duo for violation of the laws of Sshamath concerning planar travel, and a trial is to be organized soon.
News of the events have reached Xercia Dantress, who is both a Lolthite and Nawiel's half-sister.

She has made her way to the tunnels in the underdark, where lizardfolk roam, to gather thoughts by the pool of water and conduct some scrying if necessary. Few locals tried to oppose her at first but a display of power quickly drove them off.

She meditated. She envisioned possible scenarios and considered pros and cons of their outcomes, like a game of chess you try and see the next three moves to make.

It was clear that the male's fate was inferior to her and whichever scenario she would pick, his life was meaningless at that point.

She considered pleading for Nawiel's release and Sussuri's imprisonment. And that Nawiel would concentrate her next efforts on trying to spring him free. Something the male's death would prevent and Nawiel's loopy mind make her forget about quickly.

Then there's the optimistic scenario where both of them die. That would kill two humans with one bolt and the influence they both had, trying to 'humanise' Sshamath would share the same fate as Shur's efforts to turn the place upside down.

Having them found innocent would mean that Nawiel would not take consequences of her actions and similar events would be only a matter of time.

Nawiel's death was an enjoyable one. That would drive a certain male drow insane and his agony would certainly make this place more homely. Also it would remove the nuisance Nawiel was from Xercia's side.

But Xercia thought of a different scheme... She made her way to the Temple of Lolth to gather support and devise a strategy to convince the conclave that this option would keep everyone happy...

There have been a commotion in the Darkwood district, but curiously few witnesses. There is a lot of blood to be seen, making a bloody trail leading into the southern quarter of the city, where it has pooled and stopped at the bridge that separates the richer area from the slums of Darkwoods.

There are rumors of drow mercenary freelancing in town, looking for challenge and coins. He is known to be practicer of Luth Alur drow fighting style, and there are some notes of his skill with crossbow. He can often be seen in Gloura's Wings, in free time from errands known only to him...

Rumours circulate around the city of Sshamath that a scout, tracker and information dealer can be found in the shadows outside the Gloura's Wings. Any and all who require such services would be able to find him there, though none know his name.

Rumors have begun to circulate that a skilled scout of house Zau'Afin has arrived ahead of her Qu'ellar. She is seeking sarglitins and a novice in the faerl to join her house in preparation for the arrival of her Ilharess. Sarglitins and the novice of the faerl will be properly assisted in their pursuit of knowledge and skill. However, only capable individuals need apply for a position in this commoner house, as they are proud and seek to accomplish many difficult things apparently in the region.

There is speculation what kind of house Zau'Afin is, but it is assumed that it is some sort of trading house, and is of a traditional Lolth faith.

The scout has been seen exploring the region around Sshamath. Some have speculated that she is mapping the region and that her Qu'ellar hopes to set up a base of operations hidden in the underwilds. There is also speculation that they will eventually set up a stall in the trading area of Sshamath.

In truth these are all speculations based on the activities of the scout. She seems oddly capable and warlike for a simple scout, and some have speculated that she is more then what she lets on.

It is noted however that the scout pays homage to Lolth, respect the spiders of the region, and seems to be searching for something in the underwilds.

Upon some billboards in Ssamath, the following advertisement can be read:

" I, Clandric Senset, frost mage, am seeking magical scrolls of the following kinds:

The fourth circle spell of animating the dead
The fourth circle summoning spell.

In exchange, I offer gold and an incense that summons air elementals when burned. How much or what I offer is negotiable. I can also offer my own spells, should such be of interest.

Please direct any offers to Gloura's Wing, and give me a way to reply. "
