So... bards (pure/mainly) won't be able to become Harpers after that change?

They can select Harper Mage PRC if they want, and the vanilla Harper Agent class might stay.

will that get access to epic damnination... as it is in the vanella version of harper prc..has this been talk about.

Its in the epic spell feats as a choice for vanella nwn

Barbarians, fighters and paladins rarely become Harper agents because they lack the subtlety for the work

It wasn't talked about but at the moment they don't, talking about Harper Mage there. And obviously Harper Scout won't have it because you need level 9 spells anyway.

There's an Harper priest PRC but that one is quite longer to do, will be available to cleric/fs/druid/shamans.

kk just wonder if you were pulling off the harper agent bonus feat list... and not making a new one for each class.

it is listed as a bonus feat choice unless you doing new ones, copta pasta and all that.

it weird they have access to it, banishing a soul and all that

I know some bladesinger/bard builds are dipping into harper agent to get access to it, and pulling off the arcane level of wizard for the dc.

just something to watch out for

I think its a bug bug from vanalla nwn2, but players have been doing it for a good minute using the high ab builds for touch attck

I don't think any where in dnd it stats they get access to Epic damnation

I might be wrong but I think it looks for the highest caster level.

Epic Damnation
To learn this spell, a character must take the feat Epic Spell: Damnation.

Type of feat: Epic

Prerequisite: Ability to cast 9th level spells1, Spellcraft 32 ranks

Classes: Cleric, Warlock2, Sacred Fist, Warpriest, Harper Agent

NotesEdit

I don't think it's a bug but it's pretty hard to tell, this PRC can be taken by divine casters not only arcane ones. Another PRC like that is dragonslayer, and you can pick damnation as well even if you picked the arcane progression path, same for stormsinger from what I can see in the 2da files.

from 3.5

Damnation
Enchantment (Compulsion) [Teleportation] [Mind-Affecting]
Spellcraft DC: 97
Components: V, S, XP
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Target: Creature touched
Duration: Instantaneous (20 hours for compulsion)
Saving Throw: Will negates (see text)
Spell Resistance: Yes
To Develop: 873,000 gp; 18 days; 34,920 XP. Seeds: foresee (to preview likely hellscape) (DC 17), transport (DC 27), compel (to keep target in hell) (DC 19). Factors: interplanar travel (+4 DC), unwilling target (+4 DC), 1-action casting time (+20 DC), +15 to DC of subject’s save (+30 DC). Mitigating factor: burn 2,400 XP (-24 DC).
The character sends his or her foe to hell. If the character succeeds at a melee touch attack, the target must succeed at a Will saving throw (DC = the standard epic spell DC + 15). If he or she fails this saving throw, he or she is sent straight to a layer of a lawful evil plane (or a chaotic evil plane, at the character’s option) swarming with fiends. The subject will not willingly leave the plane for 20 hours, believing that his or her predicament is a just reward for an ill-spent life. Even after the compulsion fades, he or she must devise his or her own escape from the plane. Unless the GM devises a specific location and scenario in the Nine Hells, the subject encounters a group of 1d4 pit fiends (or balors, if in a chaotic evil plane) every hour he or she spends in hell.

XP Cost
2,000 XP.

I think it was given arcane because "warlocks are arcane spell casters and it fits their lore." That is why the check is in there for acane spell casters" in vanila nwn2, I think keldrin used the same bonus feat list, would have to check.

my question is it an arcane or divine spell? or is it only arcane via two arcane spell caster prcs Dragon slayer and Harper agent.

It doesn't seem consistant. I would understand if was a divine only spell "like heal" but its kind of a hybrid spell with no rhym or reason why certain arcane casters prc get access to it.

I understand Warlocks (due to being Evil) ---> why its an arcane check
I understand Clerics (due to be divine)
but harpers/bard harper/baldesinger jumping on the arcane check of warlocks seems a bit odd. (seems like something from the vanilla game to make the class more interesting)

so from a practical point of view its either open to the arcane or its not.

The only reason other arcane classes benefit is because i think coded to check arcane because of warlock spellcasting

The arcane PRCs that get access to damnation are PRCs that can also be taken by Diviners, I don't think there's more to it. Now is this a problem or not that's another question.
