Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
Thank you to all the Players involved in the encounter today! It was an overwhelmingly positive experience that had to end in a lot of PVP, a lot of crashes and dead players strewn about, yet minimal hurt ooc feelings.
As we were the ones engaging in the hostile actions, and vastly overwhelmed we put our trust in the RP of you guys, and it payed off. You treated us very well with consideration for us, and I think it brought a ton of good RP out of it. It's very appreciated (Most especially since large UD vs Surface fights don't happen often.)

Kudos to y'all, too! It was a very tense stand-off that made even the Guide nervous (not that she'd ever admit to it, of course!)Israe wrote:Thank you to all the Players involved in the encounter today! I also want to thank DM SOULCATCHER for a very appropriate and boot-quaking portrayal of Candlekeep's resident grump,
For everyone else: I plan on PMing this post to DM Soulcatcher as well as the DM Team so that praise is noted. Perhaps others who come here to thank DMs for a positive experience can do the same, and our hard-working DMs will have some good to go with the bad that seems to stay at the forefront.

Thankyou DM Wisp for interacting with our group on a completely random trip/patrol South looking for bandits last night.
We took a small group through the goblin mines, having a fantastic time mixing roleplay from all different types of characters.
It was almost like the typical adventuring party of mixed personalities that you read in the old FR novels.
Pip - the rogue (always fun RP)
Perle - the Wave smashing priestess - (looking forward to more interactions with her and the sausage fork).
Godfrey - thanks for starting us off with the bandit ambush.
Vik - "Bear... Smash!"
Mo'star - lost it laughing icly when we came out back topside and saw Mini Mo running around.
So many conflicting and varying RP personalities, yet they all got along to see the mission carried out, whilst still finding time to 'niggle' at each other.
And Wisp. Thankyou for making what would've been a regular (but group driven RP with lots of talking) trip through the mines, into a very interesting story.

I will miss Brother Ameris!kleomenes wrote:Yesterday was absolutely, positively, completely the last cameo Ameris is going to make on the server for a good long while (likely forever!) and so I just wanted to post a thank-you here to all those who have played with Ameris over the years.
There's too many fun times to remember and too many wonderful characters he has interacted with to name: friends and foes, beneficiaries and benefactors, tutors and students. And too many players who have made Ameris' time here so rewarding - I was meeting new people right up to his retirement (and, indeed, that delayed it slightly!). Thank-you, all of you, for helping me have a rich RP experience with what was designed to be, and proved to be, a controversial character. Although the planned slow fall to being a Baneite didn't work out!
Anyway, that's it for Ameris. He'll be sending a few letters and able to be reached by letter for a couple of weeks but after that he will be gone. For those interested his domestic bliss is shortlived as he is heading to a PNP campaign set in wartorn Tethyr at the start of next month, abandoning his young wife and orphan adoptees yet again, like he has these last three months. What a guy...
(If he lives, he will settle down after!)
I'll still be around, with Daug on this account and with my other accounts. This is just Ameris departing (...once more, but I promise this time its for good)

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
Had my very first PvP encounter today, and wanted to give 7threalm a big thank you, for making it an interesting occasion, with interesting circumstances and fallout! I've been terrified of PvP since the beginning, but gave it a shot, and jumped in. There was a HUGE disparity between character levels, but right until the numbers started flying, it didn't feel like it. Just two players at the table. That's hard to do, and it means something to me.
Thanks, buddy!

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
I would like to give a big shout of Thanks to All the Players, DM Wisp and DM Wagner especially, for yesterdays OSR Event. What was supposed to be a small 6 person group ended up being the entire server on the spot!! I have not lead a war effort that large with that many players since the Black Orc Wars. Thank you all for putting up with the CAPS. hehe I'm sorry if I seemed scatterbrained, guess i'm a bit out of practice for on the spot plans of action. . I'm just very glad everyone got along well, great RP even the opposing factions with appropriate tensions and snide remarks .. great stuff.
Again thanks to DM Wagner for handling it smoothly and to the Server Guru's that we did not have a crash even under the heavy load of full spells etc.!

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
I don't know if a dm was behind this or was just some very bad luck, but I would like to send a thanks if it was a dm for the ambushes in the area north of the city yesterday. It was a great teaching moment for a new player that I was with. Thank you.
He had to find out real quick to stay calm and running away to live another day is a very real option. Stay in character and let yourself feel the mortality of the character. Thank you for that dangerous but survivable moment. It was performed perfectly.

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
I would like to thank all that where involved in RP last night with Samuel. Cubicle (Seriso) refused to pay for passage, that started the conflict. Vrass (Exordius V'ass) was the one left behind for dead. DarkElfFan (Sabrae) For being a great sport about being teleported away, going from the kidnapped to the Torturer. As well as all the great RP interacts that I have had in the past with her characters. Before it was it over. Brother Bruce (Aramil) For appearing at the worst of moments. Turning the tides to their favor. Vexedart (Kasia Syndrelli) I didn't even notice you until it was to late. All around it was a great experience for me. Still trying to figure out which Marked Runes still work, and what locations are still there. I am sure we will meet again.
I would like to also thank the Quinn family for the the RP last night as well. As well as the newest member to the family Yashana of Thrae (Cyranna Quinn) decided to make a character with the last name Quinn with same view points of the Quinn family. As well as Sammy's other sisters Aurali (Selina Quinn) and Deathfire3 (Sadhbh Quinn) for always being there to help.
Looking forward to having much more memorable interactions.

I want to put out a monsterous THANK YOU to all the devs, admins, QC and other volunteers for implementing the recent update. It was a huge amount of work with many hours put into it and the server is all the richer for its implementation.

I want to give a big thanks to the developers of nwn2 mods and modules community, and its artists, to expand the game far beyond its scope and intent into new areas each day. You breathe in life into a game that has long seen its best peak, and discover new peaks.

Hear hear! And they keep working at it at an incredible speed. There are bugs of course, but I'm just happy the mod is evolving.Tsidkenu wrote:I want to put out a monsterous THANK YOU to all the devs, admins, QC and other volunteers for implementing the recent update.
