I was under the impression that drow are actually prone to have twins. but one kills the other before they pop out, not sure of a source though, it's just somethingthat has been readiely acceptable, based on that.. i would think the baby would want to cause pain, and proves drow are born evil.

I imagine the kid with demonic roar tearing out of the belly of drow like alien. Still... Things happen? Come on. I cannot act only on Salvatore lore!

While they say that pregnancy and childbirth of elves is painless, what about drow?
Here is a quote from the sourcebook Drow of the Underdark:

"The drow do not believe in using magic or anything more than basic herbal medicines to aid a mother through the pain and danger of childbirth. Should she die in the process, she is clearly too weak to contribute further to the race anyway."

A better question is, is the red knight active at this time?

Does anyone know what happens to a warlock when they die (permakilled)? I thought I heard somewhere that their soul gets sent to they abyss. Am I wrong, or is this only for a warlock who directly made a pact with a demon, what about the child of someone who made the demon pact? If this is the case, is there any way for a warlock to avoid this fate?

That is a good question. :D Is the answer no? I'm a Forgotten Realms noob.

Ultimately it comes down to the nature of the pact that was made, though I will say that a vast majority of warlocks go to the Hells after death (since most warlocks have sold their soul to a devil) but those who have made pacts with demons will more than likely go to the Abyss after death. As far as avoiding such a fate, I would say that it is possible but highly difficult and, like nearly all things concerning warlocks, depends on the exact nature of the pact. One may attempt to completely nullify the pact, find a loophole in the contract, kill the entity a pact was made with, etc. I will admit that striving to avoid the fate of damnation is a superb opportunity for the warlock to rp and develop... even if he ultimately fails.

So if someone's ancestor made the pact they are safe right?

Maybe, maybe not. It could be stated somewhere in the contract that one's entire line will belong to said devil/demon and thus be damned.

No, there is always a price for power, and it will be paid. Such power comes directly from the pact maker, and they do not give it away for free. If the warlock was "free of the pact" then they would have no power. Pretty much, if you have a warlock ability, someone/thing else is giving you the juice for it. They will come collecting one day.
