Re: The Church of Mystra RP
A woman dressed in silver and black banded mail, wearing a heavy cloak and an eyepatch walks into the Church of Mystra. She quietly sits down at one of the pews, and patiently passes the time by flipping through a small book of notes. She gives the clergy time to notice her, notice the stylized pin on her cloak of a sword within a lys (for those that know it she bears the symbol of the Ebon Blades), and decide how they wish to approach her.

Nathan is greeted with a prim smile and a polite bow of the head. Though upon his quick goodbye, the elf wizard couldn't stop to call after him, a quick grin flashing up on her face: "I have sent you something with Cerys, take it from her when you are not overly busy.."Winterborne wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2019 6:04 pm Nathan arrives upon learning of the teaching taking place and sits out of the way to watch the lesson with a slight smile.
He even appears to be taking notes on the general teaching methods used and their effectiveness.
After the lesson concludes he stops by for a short hello to the instructor before going about his business in the city.

There was critical analysis in his sharp blue eyes as he tracked the speaker and her spellcraft. He seemed polite when engaged with by the public in the temple and had introduced himself to any who addressed him as Magi Belhagruz Odrenkh, a "quite prominent" Red Wizard of Thay belonging to the nearby Enclave - to which he returned, when curiousity was satisfied.
Otherwise keeping her gaze on the leaving guests from a distance, the Keeper walks up to the Temple guards, placing a light hand on their shoulders. "Inform me please, but discretely, if that red hawk ever returns."

Re: The Church of Mystra RP
After returning from who-knows-where, Syndreth initiates a quiet discussion with the arcanists gathering under one of the pillars in the alter chamber. When they dissolve at last, the blue robed elf casually leans down to run her fingers along the top of one of the sitting surfaces, then rubs them together straightening up, appraising eyes sweeping around the chamber. Leisurely steps bring her around the hall, before she stops to pick up some left-out books, and address the eyepatched woman as well.Featherfox wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2019 1:51 am A woman dressed in silver and black banded mail, wearing a heavy cloak and an eyepatch walks into the Church of Mystra. "A wonderful place to enjoy the silence and the peace of the cosmic balance, isn't it? Especially when someone has much on their minds."

With a half-smirk, the woman nods to Syndreth. "It's true that tranquility isn't always the easiest to find, so I hope you don't mind I took advantage while waiting to be seen." With that, the woman stands up and gives a crisp salute. "My name is Brigitte, and I've come today to hopefully buy a mirror from you."

The elf inclines her head in greeting, but her eyes glint up curiously at the woman's last sentence.
"A mirror! Unfortunately, the mirrors we have, are the same as you could buy from any merchant out there..."
She hold her gaze on Brigitte, examining her expression for a moment before continuing on a more careful tone.
"That is, because the mirror is only a surface that reflects what's already present, you have to fill it with content. Thus I am afraid I can't help you. Unless, of course, you are looking for a specific content to that mirror?"

"Now that's not what I heard from the Sorcerous Sundries. According to them, what I want can be found right here." Brigitte pauses, then adds, "not for free of course."
Brigitte looks down at her open notebook. "I need a 4 by 6 alchemical silver mirror. The purity's important as it's intended for use in communication and scrying. Sorcerous Sundries is currently out of stock, but they suggested I come chat with you." Brigitte's tone is neutral and professional. She nods to Syndreth as she adds, "I'm perfectly fine with what I see when I look in a mirror. The demons I fight are out there, not in here."

"Ah, so Halbazzer sent you? Very well, then. Come, you should ask High Priestess Neela what is her opinion about this."

Brigitte nods, and stands to follow. "He's a good man. He could tell right away I'm new to this kind of component. He's given me some size recommendations as well. So if the specific dimensions aren't available we can work within a range."
Brigitte takes a moment to appreciate the architecture before walking. "Unrelated, I have a question about the Temple if I may. Should I have any questions about the Weave, or if I find an Arcanist in need of advice, would it be proper to seek those answers here?"

Re: The Church of Mystra RP
The wizard notes her explanation with a slight nod, while leading Brigitte to the High Lady.
"Propeeer?" - A wide smile grows on her face. - "Of course it is! Our purpose here is to share what is known about the Weave and the Goddess who caretakes it. The Temple is usually willing to help anyone in magic related issues, if the stated business is not suspected to harm the Gate and it's citizens, or the Weave itself.."
With a moment of quiet consideration, she says on a lower voice: "Regardless of what the High Lady may say, I would be pretty much interested in your targeted application for that 4 by 6 alchemical silver mirror. Later."

///Disclaimer: I don't know the new Temple's interior, so bear with me.///
DM Arrakeen wrote:High Priestess could be found in one of the chambers adjacent to the Temple's main hall. With her back slightly bent, she sat at a desk busy with scribing something, a scroll or a letter of some sort. When Syndreth and Brigitte came into view, Neela looked up from her work.
"Sister Syndreth," a slight nod and a flicker of a smile were offered to the elf before the High Priestess focused on Brigitte, eyeing the woman with keen interest. "Welcome, miss. What brings you to the Temple today?"

Brigitte makes a notation in her book, then nods to Syndreth as she follows. "Good. As for the mirror you're going to be disappointed. I was ordered by Baron Nightgale to purchase one. My guess.." Brigitte pauses, "I should be more professional than that and not speculate on the Baron's reasoning. Short answer, it's not for me."
As the two present themselves to the High Priestess, Brigitte gives a polite bow to her as she did with Syndreth before. "Greetings High Priestess. I am looking to purchase an alchemical silver mirror, one capable of scrying and communicating, with dimensions-" Brigitte glances down at her notebook. "4 by 6. The owner of Sorcerous Sundries suggested a suitable range of measurements if that specific size isn't available."

"A scrying mirror, " she echoed in a steady tone. "Halbazzer is not the only one having troubles supplying high-quality silver items these days," the woman shook her head ever so lightly. "We may still have a one or two that we are not currently using," at that Neela turned to the other female. "Sister Syndreth, could you please look for it? A suitable donation to the Temple should be enough for us to part with the desired object."

Brigitte follows the conversation directly to Syndreth. With a nod she shows her agreement with Neela's direction. "I am gaining a growing appreciation for the rarity. Would a donation of ten trade bars suffice?"

Re: The Church of Mystra RP
"Yes, High Priestess."
The wizard inclined her head as Neela left, then turned to Brigitte.
"I see donations as a call for the favor of the Goddess, thus I will not put a price on it. I suggest you leave your donation at the altar, with a prayer to Mystra to guide your Baron in his quest.
Regarding the mirror, you may be lucky. I remember to have a few, probably the same size, between the practicing tools of the acolytes."
Syndreth would lead Brigitte to the storage chamber, presenting her the mirrors. There is one of the same dimensions the woman was looking for, only one edge is darkened by smoke or some spilled chemicals. An other one is intact, having a smooth surface, but round in shape, it's surface the same size as of the other.
