I guess wizards will now need a bunch of bodyguards when going grinding

No.
Sorry to disappoint you

Full CL Wizards are stronger, if anything.

Not for grinding, though.
On the other hand, maybe the "bodyguards" will bring along the wizards now to get more reliable buffs?

There are still non-magic fighters/characters?

Compared to the "magic characters" they are more weak, they have less options, less content designed for them .. well... less about everything.
Non-magic characters are the ugly child and are going to be extinct.
I guess wizards will now need a bunch of bodyguards when going grinding

Nah, bodyguards are a waste of spells to keep them alive. Dominate, use summons, AoE spells for fast grinding/looting

Its not only the mechanics, RP, new content that make the less interesting, but the way the DM team treats them.
For example, you play as melee character in events and you come open a caster boss, or a very powerful one. Unless you have casters in the group or at least you magic... DED
On the contrary, when was the last time that an event stopped because the casters (over)used their magic and are like - can we rest again please?
When were meleers skills ever used in events, such as setting/disabling traps for rogues, pinning some down for brutes, pickpocketing? And more importantly when events have failed because there were no characters to do the above.
Even now, in the rare case a fighter decided to max lore, nooo we dont want that. Lets split lore into 7 more categories so that only.... casters... have the better possibility of knowing something.
We dont need to go far, just check the main character of every player. That should speak for itself.

+1
Terrible spell management is overly indulged. It's not possible that proper mages can kill the Frost King and raid the Keep, kill the Lizard Chief and raid the Caves and then go kill the king AGAIN without needing any rest, and DMs still have to contend with such requests in parties full of people.

I'm always quite strict with resting in my events, its not always appreciated at first I find. There is an expectation to be able to be at max capacity at all times. I do pre-advertise my strictness though and it seems to be more appreciated when people get used to it.

When I played a Wizard(y) type, I only had to have one spell at the ready. Teleport! I teleported out of more than one event

"Oh we're down on our luck, and an immense horde of stuff that wants to murder us is approaching? Cya scrubs."

Just a heads up. The server crashed three times this morning within 3 hours of each other. There was no warning of a shutdown before each time. All this occured after the latest update was downloaded over night.

The new bigby line would be fine if it actually followed how it's supposed to work you know not being able to wrestle and giant while shining your weapon and reading a book lol. There should be a balance sure bit if your gonna install a pen and paper set up it should probably follow the rules of the mechanics maybe? Your not allowed to climb ropes fully armed and swinging but now you can pro wrestle and attack all in one action against a hand kinda odd?

You keep repeating yourself and getting the same answer.......in fact it is almost the definition of insanity as you are repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I for one am relieved that there is now more balance and a magic user has to actually use more magic than IGMS and Bigbys..........

I would like to see every DM like this. Resting mid-event should never be allowed, except if there is an actual IC time skip of over 8 hours within the course of the event.

Or at least set up a camp and post guards and rest in turns......Resting has become almost completely OOC. I am guilty of this of course especially in Bloodlust events where I was getting hammered even as a powerbuild..........
