Re: The Real Adventure Party #2
// Phew that is a ton to read through. I went out drinking and didn't expect to come back to this O: it's nice. But I wasn't taking fighter levels for damage... In total I'm only having 4 fighter levels >.> I'll look into dread pirate though. But I've never felt..safe..even with buffs and such without using a shield. so two weapon fighting...I dunno. But then I don't know how kaedrins deals with it honestly. I'm not a gish, Unless by the you mean casting Greater heroism, Mirror image and displacement on myself before fighting. An songs~ But I really needed those feat slots for lingering/curse and other things building up to requiem. I do hope I'm going about it right, but I'm not following a build. That way it's not in the slightest bit perfect. And room for improvement
I've hit level 7..or 8? Now too. So I can defo come with you lot. Also I'm hitting 34ac with the AC song up and my shield. So I think that's a solid ground, Don't really have damage...and I found a hammer with fear on it..That... That is going to need replacing because chasing into new mobs all the time is getting old~ Any other advice, By all means throw my way! Though this does bring to mind of a skype group. But I'm happy to use forums!
Edit 1: I re-read what you all put. I didn't take any weapon feats yet. I don't know what kind of gear even drops on the server yet a part from they can go to a rare +4. Looking into the inspiration feat too. But I don't have Knockdown yet. I'm currently on 17 or 18 str, can't remember if I have my belt of str 1 on or not. Should I still pick it up?
Edit 2: Stats are 18, 12 , 12 ,12 , 8, 16 right now with a +1 on str from belt.

We're going to overwhelm the newbie with all this theory craft. You can remake your character as much as you want and keep your experience, so don't worry about messing up.
You don't need fighter to take power attack or knockdown.
If you would rather do ranged damage a bard(26)/fighter(4) crossbow sniper could dish out some damage. Not as much as Holly, but you'd have the advantage in that she has to actually get to them first to stab them in the back and by then you could drop weaker enemies.
Bards are about as good as it gets for a group friendly class. And multi classing them just reduces their abilities so much that it's hard to justify. I'm pretty confident that just about any build that has a bard level shy of 26 would be improved by dropping the other class enough to bring bard back to 26, they just gain so much from 21 to 26. One exception would be bard(23)/dead pirate(7), another would be bard(21)/assassin(9) if hide in plain sight is important. I could maybe come up with another if I thought about it for awhile, but I'm confident the exceptions are few.
I think most of us have probably got just about anything we want from the Seven Suns Mercantile by now. Peter recently purchased the boots so now he's got the cloak, gloves, and boots. I think buying whatever you want from Seven Suns Mercantile and a reasonable weapon should put your equipment about where it should be. Keep in mind we have full caster level buffs from cleric, wizard, and druid when determining if an item is useful.
Holly, selfish thief that she is, didn't distribute the diamonds fairly which was our biggest payout. She and Peter might have a bit of an advantage over the other two. Holly especially since Peter keeps giving her things.
Since we're discussing builds. Here's the run down on Peter:
http://nwn2db.com/build/?237845
Initially he was working on being a strong tank, as we didn't have one. He's shifting to a buffer/healer support role and Apidae is coming up as tank with wildshape.
Right now he's level 10 and can do +2 enchantment to weapons and armor. He'll be putting out +5 by level 15, 16 if practiced spell caster works as intended on this server. At level 30 he'd be able to cast spells at a caster level of 40. Casters shouldn't be much of an issue once he has enough spell slots to give everyone spell resistance.
Peter can enchant a shield for Apidae, but it has to be traded to him first. Maybe he can cast on objects in the trade window, I'm not sure.
With the extra caster levels from divine power it makes sense for Peter to be the primary buffer, so unless it's a buff he can't cast the other casters should be able to focus on damage spells. With all our caster power any tough fights should turn in to a rain of pain for our enemies as our casters come in to their prime.
Holly will be picking up hide in plain sight at 13, until then she has to run near a tank and hope the attacks of opportunity peel the enemies off her. The ring Peter's been saving up for is the Ring of the Fire Brigade with the dash feat, so Holly can be a little more mobile. He has it now, he just has to present it to her.

hey. Yeah without 13 int you can't get imp. Knock down so I wouldn't bother with it. You could pick up the feat that lets you cast in medium armor though. Mid battle hastes and other spells are always nice and you could fill out the dex allowance with cat's grace buff.
Maybe you could get feint? It would help if you are willing to throw feats into getting it and improving your bluff. (Negotiator, skill focus). But curse song is going to be big for us too.
Yeah I know what you mean about going two handed but the idea is with a stoneskin, mirror image you'd be safe and a target for mobs who think you're the dangerous squishy.
Edit: of course you'd need 13 int to get feint I just realized lol. Been outside in the heat too much today.

Re: The Real Adventure Party #2
//
I went ahead and made a modification of a bard build from nwn2db, overwriting the previous build I posted.
http://nwn2db.com/build/?241500
I checked the files downloaded to client side and despite the description of song of requiem the requirement is 20 songs per day, not bard 21. It counts on dissonant chord levels granting this. As the scripts aren't downloaded to the client I couldn't verify, but I'm guessing that's the case.
Epic inspiration is available, it just isn't listed under the custom and new feats thread.

// So, Is it still going on? Or delayed till next week. Both work for me, as the first lets me RP and get to know y'all, and the second allows me to RCR and fine tune myself some more ^^

// Holly and Peter are hanging in The Nexus. I figured we can help darkone999 get situated and maybe we'll end up doing some town role play or something. We can't really finish exploring that castle without our cartographer.
