There is a loud commotion and flash storm along the path near the Gate. A cloaked and hooded man in dark armour with a spear sheathed on his back is kneeling, talking to a young lass curled up in the dirt. After a time, he seems to have calmed her, at which point the renowned Arkaine HalfOrken approached, and had harsh words with the man. The Paladin challenged him to a duel on the parade grounds, or face execution for unspoken crimes. The man declined both offers, and after some argument he turned to leave. Arkaine lashed out at him with his steel gauntlets and the man whipped out a wand to hide his form. He disappeared from sight and there was silence for moments, when a great and sudden flash broke the sky and a storm reached for the Chapter master of the Radiant Heart Auxiliary. The man reappeared, spear drawn, imbued with profane power, and did battle with the half orc. The storm kept him stunned largely, but to his credit the Helmite fought well and strongly, though in the end he fell to the other man, who slew him with a stroke of the spear. Immediately after the last stroke of the duel, the man muttered another prayer and disappeared, speeding away down the trade way.

Some time following the thunderous kerfuffle, the same young lass could be seen fleeing northwards. Not long afterwards, there is a flash of light.

Blasphemy was spoken and argued at the Elfsong Tavern this day...more tempered and logical speakers argued against an elf woman who spoke unfailingly of the Lady of Spells but denying the need for tribute to the Queen of the Depths—the logic of the few failing to impress her, the one, with their insight.
Another, a drummer known to channel the undulating rhythm of the waves, did not argue with logic, instead, he called upon the raw power of the Water Queen, she that holds great power of faith within the City of the Gate that, a city of commerce that travels her waves....
No, this drummer argued with the power of the fury...and manifestation of storm blew in the face of the unbelieving blasphemous! The open plaza of the East District was lit with lightning, winds tore at those caught outside. Let those unfaithful egos be reflected in the storm they empower through their denial. If there shall be more suffering, let it be their words against the Cleansing, that makes it so!
Later, as the storm continued within the Gate, the drummer played to the faithful and those that would be come so, a beat that lulled them towards the Temple. And so the Church grows....

Terri Lalani was seen entering the Thayan enclave wearing a low cut dress. After some time she exits there looking pale. She then spent some time with a dark clad hooded man on the bench by the Elfsong tavern. The man appeared to be comforting her. After some time spent with the man Terri is seen leaving looking considerably less distressed.

Pockets and purses, coffers and chests. They have been untouched and those with the coin to spend find themselves able to spend it so as they please. Mercy guides the thief's hand this night.
In the bowels of the city and below every street and home, the cowled figure lurks in their home away from home. They plot, they think, and they wait.

In the crossing of lanes, upon the cobblestones that give way to entry the the Ducal Palace, alongside the merchant of rat's tails, the Drummer of the Water Queen's House takes his one-man stage. He raises his drum to hand, to begin a precision drumming of an undulating beat...such that rolls over wall and palisade, to reach the ears of so very many...and maybe even, a particular four:
And so it was given
The power to act
Into the hands of self-interest
In the name of Ducal fact
Direct ear and open hand
Of issues that might
Help those called the salt of the land
Be attained by a committee of strife
Who are these that speak freely
And act in royal name?
Many are not even sworn to the Lords
Many seek only indulgence and fame
A sovereign city of gates
With a mighty closed hand to protect
Puts its foreign interests in the hands
Of loyalty breakers, slavers, swindlers and brigands?
What say you drummer?
What disagreeable words do you preach?
What right have you to say
To besmirch in your speech?
I fear not to say this aloud
They trade upon the grace made to them able
From the mouth of one member, they wish to sell without doubt
"Naturally, political favor and the heart of the people."
So here it be
That the lords of this city
Jeopardize their foreign affairs
In the hands of some that will not even give tribute fair
I have heard it myself, sat at their table
My faith laid bare and offers to their benefit
But insults are laden with known absence of gavel
But woe to them should they find themselves at sea...adrift...
The Queen's domain, a protective snare
Embraces this city, the truth is great
Yet why do those that trade on wisdom and care
Gamble so easily with her faith, this city, and...their own fate?
The drummer repeats his spoken word a few times, then...walks southernly toward the crossing to the Harbor District.

A woman in grey robe adorned with bones and wearing a macabre bone mask can be seen carrying the bodies of the people brought low by the plague and were spared the cremation fires, into a cart, aided by two simularily dressed people.
Once full the cart travels towards the cemetary where each body is laid into and burial rites and blessings commited over each. Each fresh grave is marked by a simple marker denoting a name if known or simply a number if not.
All of it overseen by a member of the curch of Ilmater.
Later in the same day a stack of scrolls is delivered to the Duchal palace listing numbers and names of the deceased.

Local woodworkers are sent to work during these harsh times for the whole city. The Enclave ordering quite a lot of the finest worked wood carved, cut into planks with specific lenghts and thickness.
The workers are pilling up the order infront of the enclave and later retrieved by servants of the Enclave.
Many of the craftmen are seen joyful after being paid by a ill looking Khazark, 10% more than the current market price.

Rumor has it that a new face has been seen wandering the streets of Balder's Gate. Having arrived from the docks in the midst of a storm, the figure scanned the area before heading off towards the east gate district. Due to the heavy rain, it was hard to make out his features clearly. Witnesses say the strange man kept to the side streets or the shadows mostly. Its also whispered that after a quick visit to the local shop, he retired to the Blade and Stars Inn but was yet unseen leaving.
