While roaming around and doing some quests last night I realized there were a few things that I have learned while playing here at BGTSCC. I was going to do a Top Ten list, but then I realized there were more than ten, so here are a twenty to start:
1. Alcohol + poorly thought out RP = jail time and/or a trip to the Fugue Plane.
2. It is better to try to out drink a Dwarf than it is to out RP and elf...
3. If you drop his stuff, Sgt. Schmidt won't give you any more work again. Ever.
4. People sell stuff to vendors that they could get thousands more for at auction either here on the forums or IG.
5. Trying to do Maltz' Errand at fist level without an escort or being invisible (and preferably hasted) usually results in a quick death by bandits or goblins.
6. Malcolm and Matty are idiots.
7. There really is 1/2 a sandwich.
8. Lady Adora is no lady.
9. Firebal x4 usually gets the Orc Chief, but having a back up plan doesn't hurt. Don't try this with the plane touched Orc at lower levels unless you enjoy travelling to the Fugue.
10. You are really hardcore if you play this game straight through at least two server resets.
11. Apparently there are certain kinds of spiders not native to the UD. (who knew?)
12. Just because the chest has an epic trap on it doesn't mean that the loot is going to be any good. (26gp, Rags, and a Pot of CLW... oh and you are reduced to three HP - good luck getting out...)
13. You have to have god-like powers to solo kill the white dragon.
14. "This looks like a good place to rest" is not always a true statement.
15. The witchdoctor says, "Oo ee oo ah ah" if you speak Xvart.
16. If you run into an epic Dwarf who is a druid, do NOT refer to him as a "doo-dad."
17. Everyone hates evil pixies and memphits.
18. Magic Missile is no fun unless you are casting it.
19. You can choose to leave, or choose to suffer, but in the end you run away any way.
20. There is a tree with a door in it...

1. You can either have time on your hands or you can try to keep updated with the forum. You can't do both.
2. If prone to excessively creating new characters and constantly RCRing old ones, you may want to seek professional help.
3. When you schedule your Real Life around when the quests resets, it's advisable to reconsider your list of priorities.
4. Apparently it's not an acceptable excuse, if you call in sick at work and explain you overdosed on RP last night and couldn't sleep.
5. Bastard Swords don't have superior stats, but they're still cool because of the inane amount of pun-opportunities.
6. It's apparently not considered good manners, to summon a Balor on the camp fire at the friendly arm inn to spook a pal.
7. The tip-bucket at the NPC Minstrel in Baldur's Gate East district is not to be used as a night pot, no matter how much you have to go.
8. Myrkul is too embarrassed to admit he's lost the book, so he can't tell if your name is in it or not.
9. If a Flaming Fist officer stops you for questioning, it's not advisable to reply with "your mum" to everything he says.
10. If you want to ruin everyone's day, make a topic on the form titled "NERF HIPS!"

And why should we not do this?

Here's my 7:
1. The Darkspires have a door leading to a wall. Duergars love doors leading to walls.
2. If you're a commander in charge of Sshamath's military, you live in a tent. Commanders love tents.
3. The golem next to Ithic the mindflayer in Sshamath's market has a name. His name's Clay.
4. There is no such thing as evil drow. There are only those merely misunderstood. Drow love to be misunderstood.
5. Drow females still wear exposing clothes, despite living in matriarchies.
6. Drow draw female drow drawings on drawers, drawing drooling drow drones' attention. *now say it out loud*
7. Valshar has cryptic vampire friends.

UD ones! Awesome. I was going to post some of my own Drow ones too:
1. If you come across a succubus who has the blues, be nice to her.
2. Not all Drow characters are crazy, but it helps.
3. Keep a cheat-sheet of Drow words and phrases handy. I kept calling Dwarves, "cows" one time and no one bothered to correct me until I refered to their Ilharess as a jabbress... boy did I get a thrashing...
http://www.eilistraee.com/chosen/language.php
4. Apparently if you get really mad that someone is following you, setting an epic trap for them to trip is the best way to get rid of them.
5. Drow hate being out HIPSed by hargluk.... mind you Dwarves make excellent kul'gobuss...
6. Vendui, ussta kaas zhah Inigo Montoya dos elggen ussta ilharn, orior ulu el.
7. Drow merchants won't deal with surfacers. If you talk to them they stand up and point at you and go, "aaaaaaaah" like in, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers."
8. Evil Drow male characters who live to level ten can look forward to years of RP servidtude to first level evil female Drow characters...

Ok my questions are around the time of troubles I have several.
Were Helm and Jergal the only powers not cast down?
That brings me to my second and harder question.
were the demihuman deities affected by Ao's decree that all the gods walk Faerun as mortals?
Before you answer that this is how i picture it in my mind. Demihuman gods have access to multiple sphere's so my line of thought is AO just blocked them out of Realmspace during that time or were the forced to become mortals as well.
Next question stems from the second. With demihuman powers spread across multiple spheres is thier power lesser than the human gods that only reside in Realmspace?

I have a toon that speaks plenty languages. He collects them.
But Shambling Mound is not an option to learn for the learned. So in your infinite knowledge, please translate the following:
It is of utmost importance!!!

Ok, I am drawing a blank right now, but this one really needs to be mentioned somewhere.
1. Rats on the Sword Coast have Bags of Holding for Stomachs (I had one drop chain mail once)

The mound is telling you that you are going to die just like an Indian actor and model in the 1980's who has a similar name when you enter it into a Google search.

Helm was given the task of guarding the celestial stair during the ToT. Jergal is listed as a "demi diety" during this time; God of fatalism, proper burial, guardian of tombs. All gods were limited to earthly powers, and demi-gods relegated lesser roles as such and would have been heroes as opposed to gods. Given that Ao is the over-lord god of all, this would have translated across races as well. Now, we do not have a lot of information about some gods in particular, but we can assume that the ban from celestrial realms and power came from Ao for all gods, and that Cyric/Bane/Kelemvor/Mask, etc. were formative in creating a new way that the realms of the dead were administered (for lack of a better word) and Jergal was "retired" at some point before/during/after the ToT. Maybe that is too strong a word... reassigned?
