The Church of Mystra RP

Brigitte nods to the unblemished round-shaped one. "Considering the effort I've gone through for the mirror, I shall do as you ask." With that said, Brigitte walks from the room to the hallway, then through the portal to the main chamber. She walks as if expecting Syndreth to follow. When she reaches the altar, there's only the slightest pause before she counts out ten trade bars from her pack and places them on the altar.

"Guardian of the Weave; I am not one of your wards, yet I have come regardless in need of your servant's aid. Out of respect I leave this donation in your honour as thanks, and offer this prayer to you, Weave Guardian, that whatever purpose this mirror will serve please oversee so this one hopefully doesn't break. For allowing me into your temple and serving your servants as well as my Baron, I thank you sincerely."

With that, Brigitte goes to retrieve the mirror.

A roadwary young girl with platinum blonde hair emerges through the portal within the temple, her boots and armor dusty from travel. Her star-shaped medallion dangles freely from around her neck, glinting silver in the soft glow of the arcane lights.

Potema heaves a soft sigh as she feels the presence of her Goddess around her, the gentle warmth of the Weave that suffuses everything within the Church. But as she glances around, she realizes that Mystra is about the only presence she feels.

After setting her pack down in the dormitories, she makes a round of the Church in search of any of the other brothers and sisters of her faith. In the end it's only Neela she finds in her usual place within the Temple proper.

"Mystra's Grace on you, Sister," Potema says, smiling warmly upon the priestess, happy at last to see a familiar face. "Where has everyone gone?"

After the latest developments in the war against the devils, Osric enters the Temple of Mystra in Baldur's Gate, seeking the aid of its members.

"I am hoping to have a token examined for magicks and their nature. Would any of the Church be able to assist in this matter?"

Dodging the eyes of others since several days, the chestnut brown haired wizard suddenly appears in the altar chamber one night.
With expression tired and resignant, her proud form brakes, as she falls to one knee before Neela. She reaches out to her, to gently touch her forhead to the hand of the priestess before speaking.

"High Priestess, my heart aches to tell you what I must now; I have to leave. My Lord calls for me, and his words bind me stronger than any mortal vocation.
I'm truly grateful for the love and trust that you, and the whole Church put on me, but I can not stay.
If any favour of the Goddess I had, I wish it falls on you after I leave, for the Church was a true home for me, and the most magnificent altar of magic I knew.
I wish you all the best that can be given by the Gods."

An elderly familiar-looking knight would have been stood at the entrance and welcomed Osric with a warm and friendly smile.

"Ah, master Vale, I am glad to see you, and yes, of course, our church can assist in such matters, would you like to be present for the work, or would you prefer to leave it in my care to give to our researchers?"

The knight would simply watch the younger man, waiting for an answer.

The knight would simply watch the younger man, waiting for an answer.

The knight's approach would have been met with a respectful bow of Osric's head, followed by a warm smile. "Sir Fenwick. 'Tis a pleasure to see you. Yes, I would like to be present if possible - I am hoping the token might also be used as a focus for scrying."

"Additionally, I wished to express my gratitude for your kind words toward me at court. That you would speak on my behalf is most appreciated."

A fiery-haired sorceress takes a break from her duties at the Temple of Ilmater to come and pray at the Altar of Mystra. There she gives thanks to the Goddess for the Weave and her connection to it - so she can ever be a faithful servant to her Lord. When finished, she withdraws back to the temple.

A sturdy built woman with dark hair clad in violet armor walks confidently into the temple. The only sound that can be heard is the soft clink of her boots on the stone floor. As the woman approaches the temple, her head is bowed and an emotional prayer is spoken to Mystra. Once finished the woman would ask any in the temple on what kind of aid they may require or request, as she intends to join.

Recently the doors to the temple of Mystra opened to reveal an old man leaving the confines of the temple, his stride full of purpose, though perhaps a bit slow due to the heavy armour and age adorning the elderly paladin.

In recent days he has been seen speaking to several factions around the gate and even outside, a concerned and constant frown upon his visage as he goes from group to group, at the end of the day leaving the gate to go further afield as if searching for something or someone.

An elderly knight could be seen around the gate hanging up a new poster upon the usual Notice posts





On top of the usual assortment of messages and proclamations, the knight would nail in his own poster, carefully going from board to board as he added copies to them.

The Mystran Church is seeking Adventurers for a private job.

Please seek Senior Paladin Althalous Fenwick within the Mystran Temple for further information in regards to the contract, or find any senior member within the temple.

A fairly athletic built halfelven woman stands at the posterboard.

Clad in a mix of soft leather and light mail, sturdy boost and quilted trousers, her green scarf is held together with a pin, carrying a depiction of the symbol of Mystra.

Her curly chestnut-red hair swirls around her freckled elegant face in the wind as her emerald green eyes, framed in tiny wrinkles that displays her mixed heritage, scans the post.

Elbow resting idlely on the hilt of a sheathed bastardsword at her hip, she takes a copy and rolls it up and places it in a holder on her upper arm, next to several neatly placed wands.

She adjusts her backpack, bustling with potions, a staff, a small harp and an unstringed warbow, before she proceeds towards the tempel.

An Elf entered the church and asked to see Senior Paladin Althalous Fenwick about the poster, or any other senior member that may be available.

A well dressed darker skinned human enters the Mystran temple looking for Senior Paladin Althalous Fenwick, with a polite smile he introduces himself as Corey Larsco a representative of a group of mercenaries whom are called The Iron Company. He explains that they are new to the coast, and looking to get involved with helping the already established factions around the area.

A large group of curious individuals were seen entering the Mystran temple, introducing themselves to the guards as The Iron Company. After several hours they were seen leaving the same temple, an elderly knight following them.

A few Candle marks later the same group was seen entering the area of Beregost, going towards the halfling village of Gulikyen

Many more Candlemarks later the same group were seen entering the city of the Gate, most of them covered in wounds and green ichor, some seemed to be struggling to walk, the elderly knight more so than the others, having to lean on his staff as the slightly battered group made their way back to the temple of Mystra.

Come morning, the day after the expedition a halfelven woman appears from the temple.

Her eyes tired with dark shades around them, she looks to not having sleept much.

She settles down, in the morning sun, outside the Elfsong Tavern and orders breakfast.
having eaten, she dozes a few hours on a bench in the sun before returning to the temple.

Passers by, will hear the woman mumbling about "phylacterys" with a deep and worried frown on her face.
