With the deadline set by the Guide coming up, the Mystran could be seen a little more nervous than usual. He busies himself with menial labor and worship to occupy his thoughts and even volunteered for dish duty at the Inn to keep him busy when not studying.

A heavily armed and armored delegation from Sembia arrived at the gates of Candlekeep.
Several local adventurers, some of them a part of the group calling itself The Inquisition, were also present.
After speaking with Guide Alexandra Keenan, the Sembians sheathed their weapons, removed their helms, and entered the library fortress as permitted guests.

Another ebony wood box arrives at Candlekeep's postal office, this time arriving with the mail coming in from Baldur's Gate and the north. Again, it is tied up with white twine but sealed with mingled blue and white wax over its latch. The symbol sealed into it is peculiar, a half-crescent which has Mystra's circular star symbol imprinted inside it. Inside that star, however, are those two hopefully familiar Espruar letters: A.A.
A tag is left on the box this time, addressed to Guide Alexandra Keenan in a professionally and painstakingly elegant piece of calligraphy, gilded over with silver leaf. What lays inside only the Guide would find out.

The martial forces of Candlekeep formed ranks alongside a volunteer militia in order to fend off an unexpected assault from kobolds!
The kobolds were exceptionally strong, and many of the defenders were injured.
However, at the end of the fray, the kobold warlord was slain and the fortress remained unharmed.
Later, Grand Duke Xander De'Cardi of Sembia and his retinue approached Candlekeep.
The nobleman and his retinue peacefully departed after a conversation with the Guide.

Couriers leave Candlekeep with dozens of elegantly prepared, sealed documents that all bear the markings of "Guide's Office, Candlekeep."
Over the next several days, these parchments make their way to various people and organizations throughout The Sword Coast.

A message is left with the guards at the gate that an elven maiden in blue robes and cloak was looking for the Gate Warden with urgent tidings concerning recent events. There was no more ellaboration given on the subject. She did not leave her name, only gave the words Sky Seer. She left in a hurry and worry, looking about as she went as if expecting something to happen.

The Candlekeep Inn was again packed as the famed library fortress hosted another Storytelling Festival.
In contrast with the inaugural event, the prohibition of political and personal agendas allowed for a much smoother and enjoyable celebration.
Only one man, described as a Rashemi barbarian, was escorted from the venue.
Captain Mealir Ostirel was awarded the prize of ten bags for his story, "The Flute of Many Holes."
A transcription of the tales shared at the festival will soon be available in the public section of the library.

Despite whispers that said Darin Marls, the envoy of Grand Duke Xander De'Cardi, had previously barricaded himself in his room at the Candlekeep Inn, the diplomat and his retinue peacefully departed from the library fortress at the conclusion of their permitted tenday stay.

A letter is left for the Gatewarden at the barracks.
"Warden,
So you are aware, a large, apparently magical weasel was put down just outside the Castle. It was eating ogres and growing at an exponential rate. By the time it was put down it was the size of small dragon. It then exploded into some sort of acidic muck. We thought you might like to investigate or have the sages look at it.
Derik Ranloss
The other two didn't give me there names. Elven archer and some sort of divine caster in a wolf-head helmet."

*Silver-haired woman enters the library and after a short conversation with the Librarian leaves a message for Isabella*
Hello Isabella,
I am not sure how useful this will be but I had an encounter with Samara today and thought you should hear about it...given the recent troubles she has been causing you guys. It seems that Samara cares for at least one orphan, from the Gate I assume. The little guy seems to have high regards for her power and strength, but I am not sure if there's more than him. Apparently Samara "saved" him in the slums and raised him. It also seems that she has some "men" some guards or servants or some such. Also she got really angry when a paladin girl with red hair took the kid away, thinking she is protecting the boy from Samara. She threatened to attack her order? Anyway I hope any of this helps a little.

A dark haired woman with chalk white skin and black dress walks into Candlekeep. She moves toward the center tower as if she has been there many times. Proceeding into it, she gracefully moves to the door of the library. Testing the handle, she notices it locked. Turning to man waiting at the counter, he motions her to the office door next to it without a word. She gently and rhythmically raps on the door....

Candlekeep was placed on high alert after devil-summoning cultists caused havok for travelers upon The Lion's Way. The Guide of Candlekeep, who investigated alongside others of her order, was the apparent target of an elaborate and deadly ruse to draw her from the walls of the famed library.
It is said that a deva and an erinyes did aerial battle over some sort of tome that the Guide is rumored to guard, which allowed others on the scene time to get the gravely wounded young woman back into the protective confines of the fortress.

After spending close to a tenday away in Doron Amar, the Mystran priestess and starseeker made her way back to Candlekeep with a rather important duplicate of an item she had been working on for the sake of the Guide.
