Climbing a rope while armed was not compared just because your upset you ran your mouth in game and got a bigby but didn't know how to get out of it (breach wand maybe) Calodan don't mean certain spells need to be adjusted its called common sense . It's fine well just throw out certain rules and and regulations and make one more 9th lvl spell trash . No one has a problem with being able to death spell bosses in one shot or avascualting them for 700. It's clearly only a pvp issue .

That spell did need to be adjusted.
It has now been adjusted.

Bigby's is something being reviewed, both in terms of making sure it works bug free, and also whether the hands need buffed. It started conservatively, and will likely get stronger again, but not as undefeatable as it as.
(in particular the ability of party mates to save you is going to remain, if possible)

A 9th lvl spell is supposed to be very powerful let's keep in mind how powerful others are such as implosion, storm of vengeance . Escape artist is already going to massively assist in reducing the hands power as well.

Sure, if they are out of line or, to quote a World of Warcraft parlace, an "I-win" button.
There's probably a few. Note that the Dispel Magic change has resulted in UMD and scrolls being effectively useless against a prepared caster.

Have you tested bigby 7, 8 and/or 9 against an rcr'd character w/ escape artist? While this skill is another topic of debate amongst QC I would caution avoiding making statements you haven't tested since 'massively' is, perhaps going too far. Does a PC with maxed Escape artist 'escape' the bigby spell 50% of the time after a failed save? 25%? 10? 100?!?! what is the 'massive' reduction in power?
Fixing bugs with the implementation is one thing, but let's be frank... Wizards still own the server and can handle anyplace they want to go.

The Bigby's line of spells is pretty toxic in a PW environment. Anything that reduces their effectiveness is a positive.

You guys are all right let's just remove the wiz class all together it was too powerful for pvp after all the bigby never killed the boss or another player . Things like avaculate, wail of banshee Greater missile storm there what's doing it and they will remain untouched. I just hate to see a powerful tool gimped so a few can use it to talk trash ic .The same mage even without the bigby is still going to rip you to shreds so the problem half of you are complaining about is still going to happen . Common sense is clearly dead well just move on for Ivan

You are choosing to read only certain posts and really not being very positive in your feedback, otherwise you might get a better response overall.
I will state one more time: Bigby is a priority for the DM team, Duster, Rasael and QC and being looked in to and worked on, it's current state is not it's final state and the goal is not to gimp it to uselessness. However, as with all the other things in this release patience is requested. Thank you for bringing your concerns to the table, but spouting over and over again the hopelessness of the server due to bigby issue's is not going to make fixes come any faster.

When were meleers skills ever used in events, such as setting/disabling traps for rogues, pinning some down for brutes, pickpocketing?
I had pleasure of playing event that involved a lot of sneaking and disabling traps with one of my characters.
Managed to sneak by some guards, the group managed to convince those guards to join the party, had to disarm a room full of traps (few dozens of them, powerful enough to wipe the party), then got gloriously killed by final boss who spotted me.
The event was ran on 2014/09/27 by DM Seren.
-----
I also saw several situations where wizards ran out of spells (usually in DM Dhampir events, which could feature level 5 attack dog with 5000 hp, or level 100 vampiric-feast casting house cat). People often used to rest without permissions, and often complained when they couldn't.

I've been able to use search, listen, spot, sense motive, lore, perform, tumble, heal, and other skills with my pure melee characters in several events. If you don't use your skills, that's on you. Don't take it out on the wizards and bards who do use theirs.

The best I've seen is when DM's make a boss immune to physical damage, you really feel appreciated as a fighter guy when that happens.

How about when the DM makes the boss immune to all save vs death spells and then give it so much HP that the caster is just wasting spells if he's going to try damaging it?
Or just has 50 spell resistance. That also works.
I've had both.
Stop making it sound like fighters are suffering. They're not. They're fine. They have a never-ending supply of damage and serve a different role in the party compared to the caster.
Also, stop trying to justify things on whether or not you can solo with this or that build. It's not useful to anyone. Try partying instead.
