[cringe]thids, what can I say. You and I go a long way back on this server. Our characters don't interact all that often these days, but when they do hilarity is guaranteed. Thanks for being a bro throughout all those years we've shared on BG, you rock
Fury, top stuff as usual. I don't get that kind of spontaneous creative burst around a lot of players, but you always manage to get my juices flowing without fail. Had an absolute blast tonight[/cringe]

Nothing but love right back- It's rare that I get the chance to RP at you, Whister, and every time it's stellar stuff, all the way.

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
So I suppose it's about time I properly thank another player that I should have pointed out a long time ago, but I kept forgetting to.
A big shout out to Carrian and his portrayal of Arkain du Geramont (Halforken). When I first joined the server years ago he was there, playing as a proper paladin should. When I came back after a break he was still making waves. When there's been a lot of changes and different play styles taking over he stuck to the lore-strict portrayal of what it was to be a holy warrior bearing the stigma of his tortured heritage.
I've loved to admire him on my good characters as I've loved to hate him on my evil ones.
I've always found inspiration in his dedication to roleplay and his character had quite some influence in how I've shaped Bran.
I was sorry to hear about the issues you've had within this server's community however. I was sad to see you pushed into the background.

Wren Di'Corvi Blackthorne for a SERIOUSLY intense, powerful session last night. Massive character growth for the gals there. It was tough, emotional, and it's going to be interesting to see how this changes things. <3

This ones a shout out to Rania and her mouseclicker, taintedseraphim.
I'd like to congratulate her on taking a step in a new direction, and having the courage to let go of much that has defined and shaped her up till now.
It's been tough IC and OOCly for some time now, for many reasons, but she's stuck with it and pushed on undeterred.
I know I and others look forward to seeing who she becomes in this new era of her story.
And finally, thankyou for sharing her story with Me and Huni.
From one moon sister to another, I wish we could get Malukah in game to sing this for her.

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
I'm not really much of a forum user and sadly, my first post is also most likely going to be my last. This is not only my thank you post but also my farewell too. While my characters move on from Baldur's Gate with absent goodbyes, the player behind them would like to publicly recognize a few figures that made my roughly two and a half weeks on the server memorable.
→ casadechrisso (Lydia/Fadra): It seems as though you and I joined the server at pretty much the exact same time. It was fantastic getting to explore the server for the first time alongside some one else who was also having a fresh experience. Thank you for all the RP, laughs and shenanigans our characters got into and your OOC comradery too!
→ Lunchbox (Juno Serra): Back during my first few days on the server when I was running about rather lost with a disclaimer in my bio, you were perhaps the second person to openly welcome me to BGTSCC. You even went above and beyond just a regular greeting and invited me to the first and only DM event that I've ever had the pleasure of partaking in. You are aware that it certainly can be difficult and awkward to settle into a new environment and personally took the time to help me conquer that hurdle.
→ Ravial (Laeria Amarillis): Possibly the first person I ever got to sit down and really RP with. But instead of just leaving it at that, you created 'jobs' to establish a continued interaction between our characters. I'm sorry that Illias will not be around to fulfill those but I thank you for the memorable moments nonetheless.
→ adrianagrrl (Sophia Blake): Another one of Illias' regular adventuring companions that allowed for plenty of RP to be mixed in. I'm always delighted when I come across another player who doesn't mind taking their leveling adventures slowly. Much like casadechrisso, our adventuring was always fun and engaging!
→ Zstreeter (Rellon Ayloset): Certainly a unique and memorable character here. I highly enjoyed the few times we got to have our characters interact with one another and laughing at some of the witty banter exchanged between them.
→ Pen_and_Ink (Loch Spray): Overall, just a nice and honest guy here. Without your OOC guidance on the adventures we got to share, I wouldn't have known about a large majority of the quests and the fact that some of them are even repeatable. Thank you for patience and for taking the time to show a new player the ropes!
Lastly, a two in one here.
→ BeyondCadia (Constance “Stanza” Riviere) & vindflickan (Dove Starglow): A very noteworthy RP experience here. Despite it only being a one time encounter, the both of you certainly left quite the profound footprint. I rolled up a fresh character by the name of Remi one night in effort to have a toon that's a little more openly sociable (and less grumpy old man) than Illias. This was the first time that I got to roleplay for literal hours and was even introduced to factions/guilds(?). That said, many thanks to you both as well as several apologies that Remi will most likely never make a second appearance.
Apologies to anyone I may have missed but to be fair, this community is great as a whole. Good luck and stay beautiful, good folk of BGTSCC!

Damn, it's sad to see you go. I hope whatever goes on in your life and wherever you go, you'll have an excellent time. I'll miss Illias though! He was one of the few persons that Laeria had really nice roleplay and dynamic with, and I enjoyed every moment spent with your character.
Kudos and take good care!

I really hate to hear this as well- My character Wren had only encountered Illias a couple of times, but each time was a very positive experience with a character that was played as a natural, and approachable individual. You will definitely be missed!

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
I'll give that right back to you SteadilyAdrift. Having Illias around Lydia (and Venara around Fadra) made things quite a bit easier for a newbie, and while we were levelling like crazy especially on the latter couple there was always that level of staying IC and roleplaying included that makes the difference between adventuring and mindless grinding. In roleplay, Illias had the exact amount of snarkiness and dark humor to be Lydia's best pal. I'm probably going to feel a bit lost now, but as I said yesterday I hope it's just a temporary burnout that happens to everyone at some point. A goodbye post doesn't make it easier to change your mind again, but I hope you do anyway and I would be willing to forget it ever existed.

DM Soulcatcher for that crazy and "Oooh nooo...not -these- guys" bit of RP last night. (Yes, Rania will one day remember lightning + water= bad news ).
Mercator & Wolfypaints for being such great fun and for rolling with the "...did they just really...did she just really" moments of that little event. You two are always a joy to rp with! <3

My sincere thanks to DM Mimic, for overseeing the Derik and Lannia plot arcs for the last several months. My journals do not do justice to all the moving parts and plot twists DM Mimic managed. I gave him a complex story, touched by nearly every DM on the server, and he pull all the lose ends together beautifully.
