Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

The flaming fist guards speak of dangerous prisoner that escaped day before his execution. Those who listen to their gossip learn that prisoner called himself The Black One and was leader of Bane's church. They are not certain how he maneged to escape. They found jailor under a illusionary spell Solipsism. Citizens speak of flaming fist mercenary that took prisoner out of Bladur's Gate. Those rumors also trouble the dukes of Baldur's Gate themselves.

The prisoner left his cell painted with blood. His drawings show a huge hand above castle. Many sees this castle as Baldur's Gate and hand is his or Bane's which means he wants to control the city. There are also written prayers but most of them are unreadable, only thing they manage to read is:

People are defenseless in lands where Bane rule...

Despite the fact that the order had been given repeatedly, warning people away from the Bhaalist temple, the foolish still attempted to attack it. Many died, some more than once. Much to the frustration of those in charge at the camp, Sir Jonas and Sister Merielle and Sir Maximus, they were already going through supplies quickly. It was suggested by some that the foolish be left for dead.

Still preperations continued, the well and the hospital were both completed, more Knights and able persons of all fields continued to show up, more siege equipment made its way to the camp. The group worked hard to keep things in one piece and keep order. Tensions were high, tempers were short.

Due to the number of alcohol-induced arguments, drinking within the encampment is now kept to a minimum.
'We cannot afford drunkards while we sit at the enemy's doorstep and they could attack at any moment.'

After enduring days of shaking and skirmishes that have threatened to rattle the encampment apart, catapults hurled boulders from the Bhaalist courtyard. It will take some time to repair the damaged walls, for now guards are posted near the gaps, and the Druids have graciously lent Treants and Shambling Mounds to fill the holes.

Lately though spirits seem to have lifted about the encampment. There are whispers of a Divine being coming to the camp. An angel, messenger to the Crying Lord, who came to offer hope, and bid Sister Merielle go before Ilmater himself. None but Merielle could say what transpired on Mount Martyrdom, but the Faithful of the Triad now whisper reverently. After Merielle was absent for some time she returned with Ilmater himself at her side. His booming voice was heard to give Merielle one final command before he departed:]

"Now go My Chosen, and let Mercy guide your steps!"

[He touched her shoulder and she was enveloped in light. Ever since then, her radiance has inspired calm and faith to those seeking to stand against Bhaal's faithful. Some whisper of 'Saint' Merielle... But regardless of whether or not titles are bestowed, it has offered many much hope in these dark and shadowed times.

Merielle turns to them and smiles speaking softly]

'It is well friends, for the Hand of Mercy is at our backs. We shall not fail!'

The ban on alcohol is not well received especially in some of the segregated mercenary camps where they use it to help them unwind. Rumors run that skirmishes between some of the mercenary's and knights of the triad have broken out. With neither side willing to bring their superiors into the situation tensions remain high.

A uniquely dressed hin as been seen with carts of good rolling down the road. Passing the siege camp, without a care in the world. The gnolls and other creatures patrolling the area not attacking him nor his mens.
Crossing the frontline and heading straight to the fortress where Bhaaliste holds up. Lots of exotic materials have been unloaded at the dock lately and are rumored to be heading there as well.

One asked the merchant why he was doing so. Why wasnt he helping the triad instead.

"They didnt want my wares! But they do! And they pay very well. Thats all I have to say"

After using his teleport crystal to escape the mob of angry do-gooders, Pito reappeared in his cabin on the Lucky Coin. But before he could set sail, the local autorities had already arrested the crew. Pito was sent to jail.

The Triad camp has been a bit puzzled lately. It is hard too miss Tessian Silene, for all his garroulousness and loquaciousness. Yet, they have. The camp has noticed that within the last day, no one has seen or heard him. He missed breakfast that morning.

Word spreads quickly that Jonas Rokranon, paladin of Torm and Knight of the Order of the Radiant Heart, has been granted nobility status and an estate due to his service in commanding the Triadic/Flaming Fist siege against the Bhaalist temple along the Trade Way.

Apparently shortly after the evil in the fortress was stopped, Jonas journeyed to Baldur's Gate to report to the Council of Four of the success and relinquish command of the Fist forces that had been under him. He left the Ducal Palace as a distinguished member of the nobility of the city.

Sergeant Harrow was seen taking in a large action figure to the Candlekeep Jail; some of the men currently sent in at the moment would say that Barvok expected to send for a larger patrol in the coming weeks to pick this man up and be sent to the more secure cells in Baulder's Gate.

(Also, at the same time Rente Ashall was seen carrying Sister Abby's dead body. It rather strangly spurted blood in the two areas that had a chance in helping her.

Some words have been said lately about a large man in spiky armor, who got himself kicked out of every taverns of Baldurs because of his rudeness.

Some said that he talked against the elfs, the triad, and the fist at the same time, cursing them, while drinking like a pig.

Other said that this men tryed to grab every girls on the road at night, smeling high alcool and sweat.

One thing is sure though, is that he wrote something on the billboard near the elfsong tavern.

"Lastcoin in jail, too many elfs around, what to say 'bout the girls now..
Nothin left for me here, for now.

If ye got unfinished buisness with the ol' Randall, come and get me in Waterdeep. I'll be at the Beaumelon's Bordello most of the time, if my arse isn't yet in this damned wall in the afterlife. Might be back in some month if this place finally get some interesting buisness for me, but I doubt it."

Dustin Spelloyal was seen being dragged through the streets of Beregost, bound and seriously beaten along with two others by Trent Marnimane, Ivaris and a Beregost guardsman. He was taken into the temple of Lathander, and later his body was seen being removed from town. According to rumour he was executed on charges of necromancy, after being caught red handed by Trent and Ivaris in the woods.

The Guards of the Flaming Fist Prison notice that Filth, who is sentenced to be hung is no longer in his cell. There are no cracked locks, doors, or escape holes, the man simply gone. None of the prisoners can explain his disappearance, it is as if none of the prisoners noticed he had left. One prisoner however, spoke of faint, pale white light glowing from Filth's cell during the night. It is rumored however, that Filth was picked up off the trade way by two travelers after seeing a strange wall of bright magic in front of Filth, sitting on the ground before it. The travelers lead Filth to the Sanctuary of Ilmater in Baldurs Gate where he now rests.

Noble man was assassinated in his home. Speculation falls onto his wife, who many believe had him killed when she discovered his mistress. Other suspects are rival timber companies who would have lost thousands of gold after losing lumber rights to a forest.

Rumour has it a stoic one eyed elf arrived at the site of the passed siege at the head of a caravan of hins. It looked for all the world to be a party on wheels as the hins drank, ate, and gerenally were hins.

After a quick conversation with the fist quatermaster, the hins and elf loaded the pallisade wood onto carts and proceeded south generally following the path. The singing and marryment could easily be heard. The elf endured it.
