I've added *pauses to say something....* to my Text Macros, which I'll fire off quick, in order to give me time to think and type off a proper response, for some of my more long winded toon responses.
Players should really make more use of the text macros. I just wish it could be fixed so that not only page 1 of 5 can be used.
If we could have all 5 pages of pre-made text macros...just imagine....

I wasn't even aware you could set a text macro.

I personally asked those friends of mine who type a bit slower to throw a >> in the chat as a sign that they're going to type. If such happens I'll just sit back over going Overwhelming critical : talk on them. So far it worked rather fine with the people whose name start with D.
Also QFT:
Long story short, I think everyone has their own roleplaying style, and no style is better than any other, so long as the effort is being made to roleplay.

You really are missing out.
Right click your toon, and select options (I forget what it is; I'm not on my game computer).
Choose Misc, Options, find the radio button for Load Text Macro on startup. You'll get a sliver of a Text Macro floating window.
Right click one of the buttons. Add a Title, hit apply. Add the text, hit Apply. Then exit. It should show up now and can be clicked and spoken.
I can write up better instructions, if need be, later when I'm on my game computer.
Don't hit any of the page buttons however!!! It will crash the text macro floating window, and you to quit the game in order for it to reload. This is what I mean about only Page 1 working.

I'll figure it out. Do I need to have the Client Extension installed for this? My experience with the client extension is that it makes the game crash 1 out of every 3 area transitions or so.

You do not need the client extension.

Only because I feel like derailing the derail
What does anyone who's met him think of Selengil and my rp for him?

Skippy? Terrible. Keeps insulting Gard's cooking despite never even touching it, much less tasting it. Worst RP ever.
j/k I think you do a great job with him. In our RP you've done a good job of portraying that haughty elven attitude, clearly hating Gard, but without any immediate murderous intent. I've only got campfire RP to judge you on, but I have no complaints.

Eheh well it's a mix of Gard being a half orc so in essence not being as bad...With Selengil understanding the general hug orcs attitude he's encountered so far...Plus he thinks gard is funny and it makes him die inside and feel dirty

The problem for me with the way he speaks is it's very immersion breaking to have to strain my eyes to even start to try to understand what he is saying, best way I can handle it is simply RP that I can't understand him or make someone who can read it easier to translate for me. I'll analyze a bit more if that'd be interesting for you to hear how I perceive your character:
Socially he seems to be an elephant in a chinashop, he doesn't feel humble in his new environment and the way he speaks means to me he's not trying very hard to be understood, not even when he's actually threatened in a potentially dangerous situation.
He feels a bit chaotic, not working with the system, rather just try to brute force his way and emotions through kinda.
As for a PM holywar, I'm not really interested. If you want any clarification do ask though.

Lol, that is precisely Gard's intention when around elves. It's far more painful than a sword or axe.

I'll just say I'm glad I made Calinde not run away from Selengil. Turns out the Irritable wizard has a softer side. He has weird tales as well. I like the character.
As for your RP? I find your emotes rather " fun " at times. It's upon the golden road in the middle of *nods* *Thayan style emote*.
By the way... Selengil better learn to write faster if he wants to be a trusty personal scribe for Hoihe.
If only Calinde didn't piss Averëon off with it. Well, at least some good RP came from it. Can't wait to resume!
Since Selengil was mentioned and since Calinde can be found either: Next to Averëon or next to Selengil...
What do you people think of her?

Well considering this post, there is actually no need for holywar.
To clarify: Kyo is not chaotic at all. Flexibility in different situations would mean chaoticness, but Kyo is true to his ideals, he learned since childhood. He can be polite, gentle and good-hearted to those, who act in frame of his moral, but is hostile to those, who are out of those frames.
Chaotic would be a character, who evry second betrays his ideals for retaining peace around him; the one who choses allways the most powerful allys; choses to act the way, he benefits most for. But Kyo is not such a person. He defends his ideals to the last breath and will not be frightened by danger.
As of his emotions, He is allways restrained and tranquil. I wrote that in his character discription and evry his phrase is almost allways sayed in a calm, strict and silent tone, if I do not write otherwice.
Some questions to quoted post's author
1) How long have you RP'd with Kyogetsu?
2) What is your character, on which observation you build your opinion?
3) How many social relations of Kyogetsu you have seen?
To answer these questions is something needed to be done to make your opinion really valuable to me and will certainly help me to develop Kyo in a better way.

- You RP him as not being an elf (your description says "NOT AN ELF"). This is against server policy, as we're all supposed to play our character sheet. Some people may ICly claim to be something other than their character sheet, but that is just a claim by the character.
- The language/accent, as someone mentioned before. First of all, it seems a bit inconsistent. Second, I don't know if it really makes sense for a high int (you're a wizard, right?) character to add some of the endings to words like "-to". You say "wanteddo", "butto", "good-hearteddo" and such. I'm not saying you shouldn't have an accent, but parts of your accent seems more like he simply doesn't know the language. I've some of the journal entries you have written for the character, and he doesn't seem to have the same problem there. Not the "-dono" and "-chan", though. Those are fine. And again, you're playing an elf. It would actually make more sense if you had an elven accent, if anything (unless you go for the raised-by-humans background kind of thing).
- Curiosity: Does your character even have the kozakuran language? It is available on the server, but you might have to choose human as race to get it unless you talk with a DM about it.
- Be careful about where you walk visibly warded and with weapon out. We had a discussion over /t in game some time ago about weapons inside the FAI. Thankfully you checked the sign outside and agreed that having weapons out inside the courtyard was ignoring the NPCs, and I haven't seen you do such since. Very good.
