The crowd at the Candlekeep Inn was sparse but enthusiastic for the Storytelling Festival.
It is said that the Guide herself shared a tale to bring the event to a close.

Arkos Landrosse took the prize of ten bags for his story, "A Typical Tiefling Morning."
A transcription of the tales shared at the festival will soon be available in the public section of the library.

Vala nods to the guards as she follows Xelarian into Candlekeep, with Michael following behind her shortly after. Vala looks around and after having exchanged some brief words with the two men, she heads up to the library and steps inside to give Demetrius 2 letters: one addressed to Isabella and the other to Shirtza and Nex.

After reading from what appeared to be an ordinary letter that was delivered to her office, the Guide of Candlekeep went on a destructive, deadly rampage that left several members of the Candlekeep martial forces severely injured and some of the public sections of the library completely obliterated. The grand library itself was unharmed, thankfully, as the destructive vortex that wore the guise of Alexandra Keenan disappeared elsewhere after the guards fired numerous bolts.

The halfling Medune arrives at Candlekeep after many days of travelling from out of the region and back. Upon his walk up to Candlekeep the hin has an uncertain and baffled expression noticing the damage and ongoing repair works Medune investigated curiously but not prying or intruding with any ongoing work, heading into the Library he writes a note to the guide and leaves it in the Message lock box before departing, before heading off into lions way the hin pauses to take a worried glance looking back to the keep.

8th Nightal, 1352 D.R.
Dear Citizens of The Sword Coast,
----------On the 28th of Uktar, an unfortunate incident involving me occurred, and I would like to provide some clarity for those affected and for those who remain curious about what happened and why.
----------Earlier this year, a mysterious tome came into my possession. Research both magical and mundane revealed that this tome was created by my patron, Oghma, as a way by which the illiterate could experience the joy of reading. It was entrusted to the care of a deva, a devout of Torm, for protection. She placed upon the tome a Celestial cipher to prevent unauthorized use of the influential command words located upon the pages.
----------Unfortunately, the tome was stolen by the minions of a powerful devil known as Shezgorath the Harkener, and what had been a divine tool was soon corrupted into an infernal device. Ever since I have come into contact with this tome, I have been fighting against its malignant influence. The devil, who has grown tired of my efforts to deny it the prize it wants, sent me a type of coded message that, when read, activated the worst aspects of the tome and its wicked influence upon me. I have absolutely no memory of the events that happened the day in question, although I have heard reports of the carnage that resulted. It pains me beyond belief to know that my body, my magicks, and my music were used in such a vile and deplorable manner by a villainous entity.
----------As a member of Candlekeep, I cannot destroy the tome, because to do so would violate my vows to this bastion of knowledge. Nor can I permit the tome to be returned to the deva, because she has pledged to destroy it - something that I cannot permit to happen. However, the book can be cleansed of its taint through a ritual that was discovered by one of the Acolytes of Candlekeep, Andrew. A special ingredient is needed - the tears of a deva - and locating it is my current goal.
----------For those who may wish to lend their aid, I implore you to contact me.
----------For those who may have been affected by my unwilling actions, I sincerely apologize and pledge to make right any wrongs that were committed during this compulsory episode.
----------Respectfully,

----------Alexandra Keenan
----------Guide of Candlekeep

In the middle of the night, Xelarian was seen walking out the gate of Candlekeep. He told the guards on duty that he needed to stretch his legs and would return in a couple candle-marks. When morning comes there is still no sign of him.

Earlier that same night Aeili had visited Aska who was currently being forcibly restrained in the infirmary. After successfully advising the nurses in the administration of some liquified foods, she promised to return in a few days after going to visit Doron Amar.

A rolled parchment was left in Guide Alexandra's in-box with her sigil stamped prominently in the blue and white wax.
