The earlier contract has been agreed to at the rate of 100,000 coin per month for Zhentarim Raiding. Three months paid in full in advance. If no wagons taken in one month, the expected refund will be rendered.
Contract accepted for the Whitewood Vanguard from Alyssia Leonhart, Heartwarder of the Halls of Inner Light.

Solomon of the Lucky Coin has allowed us access to the grounds of the Hammer Hall. We're afforded six keys that will be strictly lent out to Sergeants and above only. By his directions, we're not to pass them on again. So if I hand you a key, you keep that key and guard it with your life. When we're done, all six will be accounted for and returned.

According to Alyssia Leonheart of the Halls of Inner Light, Alarielle has been removed from her seat in Doron Amar by a vote of its citizens.

I've suspicion that Kethelis is with Syndreth, if he and Aunrae is no longer together given my observations of the two in Doron and at the druidic function.

I also viewed the two at the EDE gathering, as you may have also. I thought it to be the possible case but was not certain. R. D. ☪

Sending to Syndreth to determine if she wished an accounting of events from us was followed by her comment that 'We would talk later' followed by 'You are wasting your lies on me' when regarding Kethelis' wounds and our encountering of him embracing Aunrae.

Derik Ranloss plans to use volunteers of the Bladestone Foundation to secure nothern trade routes from bandits. During these ventures, he has agreed to send all forms of intelligence gained on Zhentarim caravan and troop movements back to the Vanguard, for use against the Zhentarim.
His involvement is to be kept secret as he may possibly be working alongside the Radiant Heart.

This is perfect. Amos was pleased to learn my giving him where we are operating out East, and that should he interfere to guard caravans he would best to be learned that we're under operating orders by Elturel. Daggerford and Cormyr forthcoming with license to operate. Amn too. Amos doesn't have to know that we'll dip back in toward the Duchal lands under the Bladestone's intelligence.

I've tasked Malakai with attempts to procure a river skiff able to hold four horses. He is to practice ruddering heavy explosive ordinance along a narrow river and teleporting away.
Micar'Vilchi will be the ordinance trigger with imbued arrow from the treeline across from the Zhentarim outpost near Corm Orp. She is scouting the terrain first before we further commit.

Sister Ashenie was successful in examining the blade. However the results are concerning.
I had a thought that the blade might have been tuned, for lack of better word, while in the maddening portal, of which I spoke with the Captain before the examination took place, an in light of the results seems to not be far fetched.
The blade is tied to the Abyss. It is a weapon of champions and thralls of the Abyss. Powerful Daemons. Sister Ashenie also proposed the blade might be sentient, though she was not sure. She asked if there was a creature that began with the sound "Urd" and if it had a maw. She suspects the creature and the blade are tied.
The blade seems to be enchanted with very powerful Daemon magic and it has an aura of necromantic nature. While focusing on the blade some thoughts followed in her mind that almost seemed like her own despite them not being thoughts she would naturally feel.
There was also a sensation. She felt her own blood, in every part of her body, and the awakening of a kind of thirst that turned into a river of innocent blood finally feeding the maw of Urd. This sensation then suddenly vanished.
Sister Ashenie was somewhat taken aback and concerned about the fact that this happened in the Sanctuary, in a circle against darkness and malign presence, while blessings bathed the chapel.
Lastly runes appeared on the blade. It was something horrible but when she was about to decipher the language, the runes danced as if mocking. Those runes were of abyssal pattern. Then, the changing runes vanished, and left the blade as it first was.
Knowing what the runes mean might help. I suspect they might be the same as was on the Captain.
Sister Ashenie asked if I want the blade back but I said it was perhaps best to keep it there. However, I did also say that if Sister Ashenie does not want to keep the blade any longer or feels it is not safe to hold onto the blade, she can contact me or Mizzrym anytime.

Amendment by M'M :
I'll work on procuring a destination for the blade now and visit Ashenie within the next day or two to collect it for safe storage.

A letter hand delivered by Vanira of the Radiant Heart.
Michael Dunn,
In accordance with the peace talks, here are the actions to be taken by Michael Dunn of the Whitewood Vanguard as an appeasement for actions taken against Captain Vanira Talamora of the Radiant Heart and citizen of Doron Amar.
The funding of the new temple being built in Doron Amar will be funded entirely by the Whitewood Vanguard. In order to appease and not offend the gods of the people further, the coin used in this endeavor is not to have come from jobs in which have shed blood.
As a personal symbolism of a friendship destroyed by these actions, Michael Dunn is to fill his boots full of stones and drop them into the water under a bridge, these boots are never to be retrieved again… being that this incident shall now all be water under the bridge.

Dunn has hired Red, the Sembian magi, to scout out Soubar for Zhentarim troop numbers. Additionally, she is, if able, to scout out Blackrose operations out of Fort Providence, particularly, the movement of troops. He has paid her ten large in advance for this job, with the offer of thirty more for Zhentarim troop numbers or absence thereof in Soubar, and thirty more large for any information concerning Blackrose operations out of Fort Providence.

She is to set snares designed to hinder or wound troops and patrols, as well as wound or injure caravan animals and wagon wheels. If the campaign is successful additional use of her will be considered.

Malakai is secretly delegated to structuring plans and resources needed to execute the plans regarding decoy supply lines laced with explosives to bait both thing of the sky and on land. Expediency is requested. House Darius may be involved on assistance of wagon, crate, barrel procurements.
Explosive trapping will be delegated to a group of three or four if this is successful.

The asset, Red, scouted out Soubar for signs of any Zhentarim garrisoned there and found none. However, her report is compromised by her self proposed and entirely foolish notion of now going into the Underdark to scout out drow movements. Treat her with high suspicion and there will be no further use of her as an asset without further investigation into her person.

Red reported back this eve at the Warrior's Rest Inn. Her words of wisdom being that the attack would probably happen at night, and at one of the four town centers of the Lords' Alliance. As she provided no hard detail, no coin was paid. She attempted to return coin I paid her for the work in Soubar, but I declined it. Continue to treat her with suspicion and there is no current further use of her as an asset.
~Captain Dunn

Alkesta has been a much more efficient and trustworthy asset. She is currently tasked with spying on Blackrose numbers in Bridgefort, Soubar, and Fort Providence as she is able. To be paid thirty large for the Fort, twenty large for Soubar, and ten large for Bridgefort numbers. If she spies any Zhentarim troops a bonus of ten large was promised for their location. She was also armed with plenty of potted fire and advised, as a secondary task, to deploy it on Blackrose targets or farmlands of opportunity.

The gnome that delivered the news of Olesya's passing, Meredith, is an engineer of the deep gnome company known as the Blue Lanterns. Possible hereto unseen ally should our sapping of the tunnels the Zhentarim use get underway. They are at war with the same drow which aid the Zhentarim. Unknown how and in what shape such an alliance may play out, but its something to keep on the table.

Should Marshall perish, but I survive, it would be my responsibility to see to and care for the boy including seeing that his training is furthered. To keep him away from the coast and away from the reach of foes who may try and harm him to get at Marshall or even myself, if the connection is made as to who the boy is named after. I am to keep him safe, away from the coast, and get him to the mainstead of the Rockrannon's. Will amend will soon.

Faelyn of Doron Amar found crossing the 'moat' of the Friendly Arm, shaking his head. On query discussion was held regarding Fierlith as a priestess and in need of being with her people to conduct the act. To hedge Faelyn's opinions and shave free the fat of the conversation, I had narrowed down questioning of Fierlith's free roam options to the Sword Coast whilst a member of Doron, to which he responded is available to her. Given that I stated that the inverse then is also true, that she can continue to roam the Sword Coast, not be a member of Doron, and still serve proposed duty. Faelyn's argument fell apart thereafter and subsequent answer of mine caused shortening of option until properly identified that the Vanguard is the crux of the issue. Interestingly, according to Faelyn, I am invited to return to Doron should I depart the Vanguard.
Pass.
Faelyn then tried to flee from my barraging commentary.
Post departure of Faelyn, my time leant to a discussion wherein Rhaeg and I conversed over details not spoken, why decisions moved in direction that they did, expectations. I've not convinced him that we were in the right, but I suspect I've convinced him sufficiently that we weren't entirely in the wrong. Work on my part in this mending will take time.
I was then licked by a halfling trying to pickpocket me, the second time now in a tenday. Why.

19th of Kythorn, 1358
The day is somewhat unremarkable. Discussion continued with Adrian over the measure of letting go of internal toxic ire when I received sending from Marshall of his and Gavens intent for patrol near the site of their new construction. I informed my temporary unavailability but that I would catch up to them as soon as my discussion concluded with Adrian. When arrived I slipped through the Lich's cave, kicked the crates opened and descended to the lizard caverns where I was later greeted by a fast moving pair of paladins and the bardess that accompanied. Muttering under his breath, Alexander seemed to be in haste, moving from room to room, matching my pace, but as I left the chieftain's room I observed Nathan Goodenmane, upright, and in good health. His companion Oth entered behind him, of adequate but expected health for his idleness, and then the third, Aunrae.
We departed there for Blunt's, as the two groups split in space, whispered conversation was held about the lead up to this, but I held want of understanding the depth of Aunrae's involvement in House Darius. We departed for the Reaching woods collectively, and then onward to the forest of wyrm where Alex would then take away Gaven to answer a sending from Fierlith obtained at Reaching. Agitation was high by this point regarding Aunrae, Nathan's slow progression of movent that caused several double back occurrences, Alexander, Mae, and I set out alone, downed the Guardian, and returned from the hill crest to find Oth frustrated over the announcement of the Green in lieu. Morale was lost, Aunrae departed stating she was called away on family emergency, and the rest of the trek was carried out with only required words rather than jovial addition. While our patrol could have carried further for the Gray and beyond, the Vanguard and Tormtar had lost it's patience.
I am continuing investigation on the Darius and Aunrae integration, portraying patience whilst tolerance is still an issue, but I suspect that unfortunately our operations business with House Darius will come to a close. The Vanguard is not in support of Drow. Please allow me to handle the navigation of this issue with Nathan personally.
