I have a question on the attack on sight of pets/summons/shifters. Why would someone have the ability to automatically attack another person's pet/summon/shifter? Why would they not have to RP that?
It's more than obvious that the pet/summon is controlled by the other player. If I saw a man walking down the street with a Grizzly and its legally hunting season, I do not have the right to kill Grizzly Adam's pet.
Who in their right mind goes around killing animals just because they are dangerous? I have camped many times and avoided killing bobcats, bears, wolves and the like and essentially in my opinion its evil to kill them without reason.
Now Daemons, Undead and Drow seem like a no brainer... ie they represent evil. But even then I would expect the goody goody to confront me and not just attack. If a person attacks my pet, can I kill them for initiating an attack on me... er... my pet?
Example:
"Bob, look an Undead! Hey you, what are you doing consorting with the undead?"
"Huh? Um, this is Sara, my girlfriend. She isn't undead she just doesn't eat much and thinks she's fat."
"Umm, you can't fool me! That's an evil creature!" OOC Consent PvP?
*epically evil grin* OOC Of course, bring it.
"Oh, its boughten!" OOC oops sorry that should have been OOC.

Re: PvP Clarification
To sum up the question.
Yes, you can attack them if they attack your pet. It's automatiic provocation on the attacker's side. Now the attacker should hostile you first and give you an RP out in order to attack the pet (but the problem is, the pet will auto attack if your opponent hostiles making it look like it attaked first)
RP out would be "Do away with your pet or make them leave this area.. .blah blah" if you say "no" you just lost your RP out of PvP and the pet can be attacked, but you can retaliate.
If someone is randomly coming up and ganking your pet, then it's a violation of PvP rules since if they attack your pet they are instigating PvP but without an RP out.
The issue is that all attacks have to have some apparent reason RP-wise and must contain trace amounts of dialogue between attacker and defender in order for it to be legitimate.
The same goes for familiars. Familiars especially due to the fact that destroying a familiar causes negative modifiers to the spellcaster to appear which is again PVP against the PC.

Because worldwildlife havent been founded... I dont think the average person thinks so much for the preservens of animals. If they are dangerous and around, you kill it. Some do it for sport, i could emagin. This is where the rangers and druids come in.

TheVoid,
Thank you for the clarification. That's what I thought and I agree.
