Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
A familiar face is seen wandering Doron Amar's pine needle-laden paths. She stops and stares for a long and quiet moment at the large statue to the Triune Goddes. She murmurs lightly to the silver-gray cat perched on her shoulders.
"So many new faces in this place nearly our home... We wonder if we are still welcome in these beloved paths..."
She continues her wandering in relative silence, seeking a familiar face amid the trees of Doron Amar.

Vanira paces back and forth at her old camp site...
We need to get in a lot more drills; we really need to make sure we are ready.
Going to need more then just you elves.
Yes, I know; going to need the help of the knight too.
Would help with the undead, though some of your kin may not like it.
It isn't my job to be liked.
Vanira tacks up another note for a a practice drill.

The elf is seen humming and almost dancing her way home to Doron Amar the other night. Feet carrying her as lighty as laughter on the wind. It isn't until she arrives to her thinking spot by the river in which she slips into a very heated arguement with her feet.

Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
The moon elf seems to be in constant movement. Aiding with the dwarves, running drills for the rangers and those that attend.
Her movements only slowed when the elf paused long enough to prepare for the meeting with the Dukes. She leaves Doron Amar in a soft blue dress that is clearly tailored to fit her body and flow with her movements perfectly. Her hair she leaves down and unbraided and without the usual gems woven in save one hidden underneath in the back. A few whispers linger in the air at her more noble/formal appearance as she disappears into the forest shadows heading for Baulder's Gate.
~~~~~~~~~~~
The elf returns that night in much of the same grace as she left, but with her heart heavy with worry and fear. Footsteps, quite as they still may be, seem to carry the weight of the realm and her blue eyes lack the usual laughter she is known for. With a carefully guarded face that reflects the seriousness of the matter she speaks to the rangers.
"War is close on the horizon, prepare for it as if it will be on our doorsteps tomorrow. While it may not ever reach this far, we plan as if it will." She pauses and lets the words sink in to those she has the ears of. "The Dukes have asked for our aid, and while Doron Amar officially remains neutral, we have offered to bring and lead a voluntary unit to stand and defend Beregost when and if it comes to that. Those that do not wish to fight will not be asked to save for defending Doron Amar if the battles ever reach this far." Her eyes still serious she pauses as she again lets her words sink in.
"Those that wish to volunteer speak with us after you have thought the matter over and have discussed it with any loved ones tonight. We will not take down anyone's name till you have thought on it. This will not be a simple run through the park or an orc cave. This is war. There will be some that do not return. Think on that hard and then speak with us in the morning."
Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
An envelope sealed by wax is left on the desk of Vanira Talamora.
Vanira,
Here is the report you have requested:
The North flank, for which I was bound and left in your charge performed admirably, if not collectively. The Paladins and Dwarves allowed us to stay the line of defense in this instance but should they ever be unavailable to us, we should be at a great loss. We lack the forward infantry to maintain a prolonged defensive struggle. I believe this first needs be addressed.
Furthermore, I wish to commend the strength of our force, the archers. They are a powerful force to be reckoned should their enemies be pinned down and they remain protected. They have the capability within space to dominate a battlefield solely. I am a bit concerned with their ability to both engage, and, or disengage in a major conflict should they be forced into a martial battle.
Our strength is plainly found in guerrilla engagement and flanking enemies through forward reconnaissance. It may have been a gift from the gods if not for the Dwarves, than for us, that they were under our banner at this moment in time.
Lastly, I would like mention Saline Led'wenent's contribution to this battle. Her unyielding body of arrows struck with such tremendous force that it may well have turned the tide of battle when we were at our weakest moment. She is a special archer and should be commemorated for her effort last night.
The sounds of hammer against wood could be heard echoing amongst the pines that morning. The mist’s carpet still rolled out, swirled at her feet as she stood back to admire her work. “hmm, something is missing” she thought as her eyes scan the board beaten into the soil. The board itself was a simple one, standing 15 hands high and 6 wide. A crude painting of a figure was hastily drawn on its face, with two holes no bigger than egg were cut though; one in the “head” the other in its “chest”. Her eyes moving from form to the holes and back again. Slowly, a grin consumed her face. With a bit more work a third hole, much lower than the previous ones was created. “Ah, much better”, she thought.
With a loud “tunk”, a golden fletch arrow with a note attached was stuck deep into Counselors Vanira Talamora door. The note simply reads “for the war effort”. Below in a pile are several suits of mail and a bow. The suits are covered in fresh earth as if dug up recently and the area that the rain cleaned in transport is of golden-yellow tones.
I don't know who put that up, but I need to find out. And then continuously remind myself not to make them angry at me.
Later in the day the remnants of several quivers of arrows and be seen in an old oak tree located several paces behind the make-shift target. The arrows seem to be inline of that of the holes cut into the make-shift target; some holes more than others.nezzerscape wrote:The sounds of hammer against wood could be heard echoing amongst the pines that morning. Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
The moon elf about jumps out of her chair as she hears the arrow hit the door.. her left hand knocks a pile of papers off the desk. The papers flutter down down a dieing dragon.
"If only it was that easy to really defeat you," she mumbles to herself.
She slips out of her chair, a dagger in hand and slowly opens the door, keeping her body behind the opening door. After a moment slipping into the shadows she carefully glances at the front of the door and shakes her head as she sees the arrow and note.
The gear left below is dragged in with a grunt and tucked away for those in the Mathora that might have interest in it.
Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
Vanira returns home to Doron Amar mid morning from Nashkel; every foot step was light as if no weight of the realm could hold her down this morning. Her face was blissful, lips curled in a girlish smile and her eyes danced as if still lost in a dream. A quiet happily melody escaped her lips as she moved through the trees.
Not even the orcs gave her much pause as she twirled herself into the shadows only to twirl right out of them once she stepped past them leaving them with dumbfounded expressions and likely the thoughts of elves being so weird when they were frolicly.
Anyone greeting her as she moved through Doron Amar mostly got a a simple nod of her head... but there were one or two in which she would grab their hand and get them to dance a few steps with her before twirling away with light laughter. As she opened the door to the Mathora building and spotted the reports slipped under the door she paused but only a moment. Not even the paperwork Dragon would spoil this delightful blissful morning.
With papers in hand she made herself comfortable at her desk and got to work on reading and replying to those that needed replies sending them off on their way.
Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
[The small elf and the never-too-far away gray feline that accompanies her are seen once again wandering the cobbled pathways of Doron Amar. Aside from her normal whispered arguments and philosophical debates with the small gray cat, she observes the Dwarven guests with an odd measure of respect and curiosity.
When not busy studying, her impassive nature seems to give way to something that can only be described as curiosity incarnate... a seemingly endless stream of questions on an equally unending variety of subjects... Though overall her queries center around faith and relationships.
In the rare moments when Doron Amar and those within seem to still, she wanders slowly through the paths and trees, murmuring quietly, often to no one in particular.
On this night... the impartial mask that hides much of her emotion falls away. There is a seemingly heated argument... with herself? Her voice never raises above a whisper, only the keenest ears picking out strains of names and mention of loves taken away... after some time, she seems to quiet and to calm, resolve replacing anger...
This too, in her ever shifting moods, gives way to worry which turns to fear... ]
"I wonder if... when I wander from here... my presence will Echo... Will I be remembered? Missed? Or am I doomed to fade... one small fragment amid a raging storm?"
