Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

The Order of the Silver Rose continues to aid travelers, adventurers and refugees at the triage camp south of Candle Keep, thankfully accepting and appreciating all help from others who wish to join thier cause. At the same time coordinating regular patrols south to look for any other refugees who may have made it out of the city of beregost and escorting those well enough to make the trip to the friendly arm inn or the city of Baldurs Gate safely after resting and recouperating at the triage center. To make sure there are enough beds at the Inn, the Knights offer to sleep in their tents at the triage center in shifts throughout the night.

*A Letter to the Commander*

Sir,

We did as ordered and remained out of this war as much as possible so not to choose a side. Unfortunately the Amnian army began to attack innocents in a repeated manner. Lady Elvina and myself decided it was best to aid in the final push against the Amn army at Beregost. We initially set up to heal everyone who was injured and did just that. We also did aid in the defense of the people and ended up pushing the Amn army to an outpost or rear command station in which we finally prevailed. I know this was the right thing to do to prevent any more innocents from being harmed by this unnecessary war.

We now continue to aid people at the Triage station that we set up and with the help of many others like Juliandra who brought in larger tents and other supplies it has flourished. Soon when the wounded are taken care of we shall help those displaced in recovering what is left of their home and rebuilding if needed. I know not everyone in the Order can do woodwork or build a house but even if we are to simply bring water and food for those building it shall be atleast some help.

Hopefully the peace talks currently under way will provide a lasting peace in which these poor people can live thier lives..

*Elvina posts a notice to all members of the Silver Rose describing the events of the day*

Today at the graveyard outside Baldur's Gate the High Battlecaster Generalfally of the Flaming Fist enlisted numerous adventurers to aid in finding a book to repair and remake a staff owned by miss Liliana (describes her). We were successful in defeating the hords of undead that poured from the graveyard and procured the book.

Then taking it back to the High Battlecaster he had Liliana pick seven companions to go to the crypt in the fields of the dead and gather the parts that were needed to reforge what they called The Staff of Noise. Liliana asked for my assistance and I said I would protect as many of them as possible. It was myself, Liliana, Jax, Shirtza, Strifire, Nroc, Kieran, and a grey orc named Ulftor of the Oak Heart clan... (goes on to describe each). We managed to fight our way through the crypt slaying the undead and found four of the six parts in various places.. chests, vases.. etc. Then we came upon what looked to be a lich or demi lich... a floating skull... we nearly killed it till he pleaded with us to stop and said he could put the parts together to forge the staff.. He called himself "The Head of the Stavemaker". I was not pleased nor did I trust a word he was saying. I told him one false move and he was done for... But he did reforge the staff, calling it "The Swiftwood Staff", and said it was for laying the undead to rest. He said it's purpose is to aid the weilder, and keeps the dead from rising. He claimes it will break every now and then and he is the only one to repair it so he chooses to be entombed there in the crypt. I told him he'd get a much more favorable response had he been in a holy temple instead of this vile crypt. He then said "No temples for me... I hate pilgramages, and I seek solitude". I still don't trust him.

Some then asked if he would forge another out of the spare pieces they had found and he did, calling it "The Strongwood Staff", but it was somewhat weaker staff but supposedly for the same purpose of defeating the undead. I still didn't like it.. I even said to them all.. you realize you're bargaining with the undead right?

When he was finished forging the second staff he created a diversion by summoning two horned devils and while we fought them off he disappeared. We got out of there as quickly as possible and reported back to the High Battlecaster of the Fist who thanked us for our service. I then told him I would have the members of the Order of the Silver Rose return and cleanse the crypt of the undead and evils within and he said it was an Excellent Idea.

With that said, Sir Haeman, if you will please, gather as many of the Order that are able and return to the crypt once more and cleans and purify it the best you can at your earliest convienence.

*Late in the day, Dain Silverton enters The office of the Knight Generals, finding no them to be out, as usual. He leaves a small stack of pappers on a dest befor returning to his duties.*

Several days ago I was in a hunting party with Matilda the dwarf, Knight Errant Tara, and a lady Elf by the name of Nikita. We were venturing threw the orcish caves when we were set upon by a hoard of Hobgoblins. We thought to be victorius when a large number of Ettins suddenly suprised us. We later to find outselves in a cell somewhere underground with all our armor, weapons and such striped. Puting on any rags we could find, we were confronted by an sickly looking undead person called Master. He wanted us to willingly be discected. Needless to say, we refused. After leaving we worked on a plan of escape. Tara was able to pull the cell keys from the claygolem who stood rather close to the cell door. *noting the door was simply iron bar door.* Upon opening the door the Golem turned and blocked the doorway. Seeing it wouldnt attack we asked it several questions. We found that his duties were to "Keep the Prisoners in the cell." and "Guard the gate." he also informed us that he was made by The master, and that the Activaction code for him was a set of words.
"Ash, iron, fourth, mandrake, cloudform."

Suddenly we heard a gong, and the golem stated it was leaving to retrieve food for us. When it was out of the room, we escaped the cell and came upon a Kobold. Upon interigation, wich was instigated by my threatening to devour him, i would never do such a thing, but at the time i thought it best to take advantage of my devilish appearance and intimidate the poor creatures. i feel bad for it. we learned he simply kept record, and had no knowledge of the location of our gear. Hearing the Golem returning, i demanded the kobold to enter the cell. again, i had to scare the poor thing, had my hands out and wiggling my fingers, and everything. The moment i shut him in had teh golem returned. I told the Golem that the prisoner was still in the cell and the gate was protected. The golem seem to accept the conditions as his orders. We were free to do further investigation. In the room were books, a few healing potions, and an incomplete Iron golem. We discided to complete it, and using the comand words stated above, we were able to make it fallow our commands. After hours of qietly searching the compound, our golem was destroyed and we foudn that Chu the dwarf was also captured. After liberating him we ran into what could be discriped as a half spider, half dark elf. Luckily we were able to defeat it with the little gear we had. using the key it droped, and the keys droped by the hobgoblins we fought, we eventualy made our way into a large room with bodies on tables. The bodies were ither dismembered or discected. In the center was a large hulkin mass of undead flesh. Instead of attacking however, we parlayed. I was able to obtain information about The Master. The Master apparently was trying to creat a mortal coil *living body* in which to live in. Do to the fact we had little weapons and armor, i asked the flesh hulk if it would aid us. It aggread only if we found its.. face.. and kill The masters first chosson. *from what i saw after it.. reaplied its face, the Flesh hulk was once a Fire Giant.* Tho the First chossen was abel to escape, it left behind a key to the next area. The Flesh Hulk lead us into the room the master was in. We were however assaulted by a large group of Black oozes who devoured the hulk. *let it be noted that the Flesh hulk did infact fight to avenge itself against the master, and died protecting us.* After the Oozes were taken care of, we beset upon the Master, who was standing in a Strang ring of pillards with a green glow in the middle. The fight was long, and we all fell manytime except for Chu. Being a monk he was not as dependant on armor and weapons as we were. However, Nikita found that The light was restoring The Master's rotting body. *it also would revive us as well* She destroyed two of the pillars, revercing the flow and causing The Master to turn to ash as it passed threw. Once The Master was gone we found our equipment in a gold pile. After Retreiving our items, i turned teh battle axe i had been using at the time onto the device The master had been using, and Destroyed it. Upon finding another key, which unlocked a door to a tunnle that lead outside to The Lions way. We were fallowed by the Clay golem that was our jailor, and besieged him until we found he did not fight back. After Telling the others to Hold, i asked what its Operation was, and who his master was. He said None to both. After speaking the Activation code *see above* I then became the new master of the Golem. I asked it for information on Its previus master. The only info we could get was taht The Master's name was Aeolnfold. Seeing the Golem would not last long, i orded it to destroy the entrance to the dungeon and then to self destruct. It did so. All members of the party are alive and accounted for, and i leave a mark on the map of The Lions way were the entrance of the dungeon.

I advise the order to look fearther into this Even. and perhaps to a more therou job of destroying the entrance of the dungeon, so that it dosnt fall into the wrong hands. And/or cause any more danger to the People of this land.

Also not that i did indeed break codes of the order by lieing and colaberating with undead. I await judgemt so i may atone.
Tara was fallowing my orders as was the rest of the group, i take full responcibility and punishment if it is deemed nessicary.

Sir and Lady Knights,

Late today on a cleansing campaign in the Woods of Sharp Teeth with three adventurers: Bo, Chip and Miss Galva, we encountered a wizard of height slightly shorter than I, thin and male, perhaps an elf or a human. The wizard showed hostility towards the lady dwarf, in which Chip responded and challenged the wizard to a dual. At the end of the dual in which Chip had one, I saw a Grey Orc charging towards his position, in which I ran to aid him. I was cut down in the battle but the lady Dwarf prevailed. The orc was brought before the Fist unmasked for attacking us all. I do not know the fate of the orc.

Earlier that day while travelling with Bo, I did encounter this same wizard in Nashkel. He had offered to aid us in a mission while he awaited his subordinates. While leaving Nashkel, we again encountered him and he was travelling with an unmasked Grey Orc.

Knights of the Rose,

Sir Dain, Sir Rand and I while on a cleansing campaign in the Xvart Valley, aided by adventurers encountered increased organization and hostility at the hill leading towards High Hedge. The shamans seemed to have increased power, as one shifted into an earth elemental. Most of us were cut down, but a few of us escaped and extracted the others. We reorganizing for a continued assult and cleansed the remainer of the Xvarts.

Upon reading this I do formally revoke my support to one Krumarth. I was patrolling south with Chip and Matilda when I ran into Krumarth and his friend. He was travelling with a Orc named Nari. My honor rested on Krumarth, and he betrayed me in befriending Nari. She questioned my honor and the honor of those who travelled with me. I asked her to leave and she would not so I was forced to defend my honor. I smited her and Chip removed her mask. Torm has judged her and found her guilty. She is an evil orc.
