I haven't seen many good warlocks on the server. Then again if there were good warlocks, people would just complain on the forums about all the anguish and suffering they cause.

Furthermore, I'd just like to say if there was an IG campaign put together to rid the Coast of all Gray Orcs (à la Tolerance is Treason era...I heard those were fun times), I'd be totally willing to play along with that.

Come and surprise me...it's gonna be hard, cause Krasc can smell your pink, weak human flesh coming for miles.... LOL

Kill them all and let the Gods sort them out!

Also, good warlocks cannot possibly exist, right?

ENLIGHTENED SPIRIT

"People change."
-Torgar Coalhair, enlightened spirit

Although the fiendish origins of the warlock's power can't
be denied, he need not fully embrace the darkness. Some
warlocks start down the fiendish path, then repent and turn
toward the light. Such rare individuals are called enlightened
spirits.

BECOMING AN
ENLIGHTENED SPIRIT
Only good-aligned warlocks can take this prestige class.
Enlightened spirits lose the flexibility to choose invocations
but instead gain specific, powerful invocations to use in the
fight against evil.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Alignment: Any good.
Skills: Knowledge (the planes) 8 ranks.
Special: Eldritch blast 3d6.

Enlightened Spirit would be a fantastic prestige class for someone to convert to NWN2 from the Complete Mage.

So, my point is: so much goes on in this PW that is just WAY OUT OF LINE OF ANY SORT OF LORE/CLASS/RACE BELIEVABILITY that taking a stance on Gray Orcs is just the tip of the ice berg, and if you want to start down this road, I suggest you get ready for a whole slew of "get with the program on race/class/lore" issues!

Shall I start?

1. Good warlocks
2. Warlocks, alone
3. People wearing hoods all the time (the Fist would be questioning then constantly...)
4. Clerics of differing deities even speaking to each other, nicely. I mean, c'mon, if you're a holy roller, you should on top of that sh*t.
5. Toons running all the time.
6. Slaying wolves in front of druids, and the druids not getting free PvP rights!

Shall I go on?
Amen, brother.

It wouldnt hurt for a little more action taken by players, and staff, to bring some of these things in line. Each of these will continue to get worse without any action taken (as seen in the last 6-10 months).

The players should do all things IC. Tolerance is Treason did work. The staff can do things IC and OOC to help with immersion, etc. Its amazing how quickly some of these things slow down when you jack XP from the people that don't take warnings well. I know from experience.

And PvP is a natural result of the world we play in and the races we allow. I dont know how anyone that has read up on the FR lore could say otherwise. Its a crazy violent, prejudicial world.

Chaotic Good elves (star elves especially) are an example of a good warlock.

"Many of the sponsors of warlocks seeking the fey pact are dangerous archfey as the Queen of Air and Darkness or other such Unseelie fey, although a few receive their powers from the more benevolent Seelie fey." -- FR Wikia

2. Warlocks, alone
It's not illegal to be call upon dark powers to fuel your magic. You have to have a high enough spellcraft/lore/previous rp experience/ etc to detect a warlock. Secondly, you don't have to be evil to call upon a dark power..... at least not yet (muhuwahhahaha). And finally, how could anyone ever play an evil cleric or fs? Can other clerics tell you are invoking an evil deity?
3. People wearing hoods all the time (the Fist would be questioning then constantly...)
Says who? The Fist are only as zealous as the DM's make them. As long as you aren't causing any trouble on the Tradeway, what business is it of theirs what you look like? The Fist are mercs that work day in, and day out doing the same job over and over. Many would do the bare minimum to get paid. They're MERCENARIES. As a matter of fact, I think the DM's get them involved wayyyyy too often. Hell, I bet half of them would sit back and watch a fight between PC's while taking bets.

You got me there. I agree.
5. Toons running all the time.

Make walk speed faster and introduce horses
6. Slaying wolves in front of druids, and the druids not getting free PvP rights!
Heck, dr00ds are lucky I don't slay them and their pets when I see them running around shifted.

I think we're too accepting of player behavior on this server. We need to grow some testicles and call out unlikely behavior...... violently!

Says ME.

Wearing a mask is causing trouble on the Tradeway. Just think about a trade caravan seeing some well armed 'adventurers' standing in the middle of the road wearing masks. As a merchant, I'd grab my crossbow and nail those bastard where they stand while they are still a distance away.

At this time period the Flaming Fist mercenaries are the best there is. You do not get be the best there is by just doing the bare minimum, and as a result they are certainly not paid minimum wages. Hiring a bulk force of Flaming Fist mercenaries is likely to bankrupt the region and that is a lore fact.

And as for betting when players swing their ego sausages, well, I am afraid to break it to you, but the Flaming Fist mercenaries you see in game have been tasked to maintain order and peace. Thus, they would not let two player character's finish their fight. Not a fat chance. (If you want to fight, head over to the wilds.)

Sure some of them might stand back, so they could arrest and hang the wounded winner.

As much as some people would love to play a KOS race (myself included) in a very difficult setting for non pvp reasons the server and staff are not equipped for it. It's along the same reasoning as the removal of PC law enforcement. Maybe someday a system can be added for it, my guess is a few months after crafting ;)

What about people that openly shout about their evil god, shouldnt they be KoS, because i have heard of people doing this, but people werent allowed to kill them. Which i think is sad.

*stands with hand on blade* "Leave this area at once, Bane-worshipper. The guards may turn a momentary blind eye to your sins but I will not. You will not get another warning."
*pulls blade out a few inches and takes an aggressive stance*

You still need to RP out them.

The big problem with RPing hostile or rude to orcs in the open is that 9 times out of 10 the orc is going to jump to a PVP scenario. It's sorta just what orcs do. I think they really just need to be reminded that they're ALLOWED to enter cities and such, it's not a right, it's a privledge.

Would love to see more facemasks covering them tuskers.

Should be that way on the tradeway too. Not every day that people will just let an 8 foot tall 350lb orc with a huuuge greataxe and smelling like carnage just causally wander up to their campfire and speak in orc-common.

This attitude follows the Gray Orc server rules, and should be more prevalent. Heck, with my human/goody 2-shoes toons, I hassle Grays whenever I can. ;)

I have to say that the whole rp interaction with orc's on this server is a disapointment to me. I play Torri Ironfaar and for a long time have rp'ed hostility towards them, the thing that I find frustrating is how much support the Orc's gets from every one around. I have been accused of being Racist on so many occasions. OH MY GOD, it is an ORC, they have been attacking humanity and elves for like EVER. But it seems there is always a line up of evles and humans at the FAI fire to support them.

So these days, I tend to not even bother, I have my few friends that i like to RP with, but there are way TO many people here that seem to forget what this setting is.
