You'll obviously want to run around with your buffs on all the time. Other than that, though, I'd suggest going to the Gnolls instead of the Orcs. They are easier to paralyze.

Also, you'll really want to be able to cast Heroism, Protection from Alignment and Conviction/Greater Resistance from scrolls ASAP. The boost to your AB and saves is very important. As is the immunity to mind-magic.

Know the build you are playing: do not solo, or grind mobs that are below your CR, and deal with the low XP payout.
As J.G. Ballard has said, "It's a mistake to hold back and refuse to accept one's own nature."

@mireigi

i can cast those buffs now.. but with current UMD i have like 50% fail chance cos of the rolls i have to make, i need 26 UMD to cast lvl 1 spells safely from scrolls, while i have a base 16 skill now...

i'll try the gnolls today...

@stevebarracuda

it seems i will have to... at least when i solo, unless i want to go through a lot of healing kits every time
Hey, I just lost it, And this is crazy, But here's my login, So PM me, maybe?

Easy Dzidek .... make use of one of the most under-rated skills ever. Parry. As soon as your first flurry is done, enter parry mode for 4 sec, then HiPs away. Rinse, repeat. I'm using it, I barely ever get hit by mobs. ::prepares to be told how crap Parry is::

I solo the Frost King all the time on Hinzel, well not so much recently, but as long as you pull correctly so you dont have the damn Wyrm on you as well you can kill the king very easily. Mirror image and shield etc for extra AC lasts you long enough so that crippling strike lowers his AB so he can't hit you.
Hinzel - Fuer grissa ost drauka
Grainne - Lookin' for a good life.
