Re: PvP Fan Club. Read First Post and Sign Up Today
If any members are breaking the club rules take screenshots and PM either a DM or myself. I do enforce them. So far though, no one has ever reported an incident to me (most likely all complaints were sent to DM's which is fine too).

It's not actually hard to check the list ingame. Just make yourself a list in alphabetical order on a sheet of paper and keep it nearby while playing. Be sure to keep an eye on this thread and update as needed.

also need to check the account instead of characters though, so it's a bit cumbersome - first look at list, then look at player list, then find the matching account name...
be nice if there was just a method of flagging ourselves ingame

I don't go through all that trouble myself. I seldom pay attention to who's about until I see potential PvP coming up that I may have to initiate myself. It's up to the attacker to identify club members so unless you are considering an attack, it's not really necessary to know who's in the club. If I think I may be attacking, I then open the player list and see who's controlling the potential enemies. (click and drag to keep the list from jumping as players enter and leave).

This doesn't work because many of the PvP club members set themselves to anonymous. To use that widget also means giving away location and that's no good.changanjie wrote:I thought it would be far easier to enforce all PVP club members to set their PVP status on the player finder widget to "PVP OK"Trick wrote:also need to check the account instead of characters though, so it's a bit cumbersome - first look at list, then look at player list, then find the matching account name...

Then, in a potential PVP scenario, you only need to use the widget, look for the name highlighted in red, and boom, bring on the biff!

Wouldn't be a problem if no one ever used the widget to find people, but obviously their will be some immature meta-gamers around at some point unfortunately.Sir_Carnifex wrote:This doesn't work because many of the PvP club members set themselves to anonymous. Well, even if people don't intend to meta-game it's pretty hard not to see the location when looking for that PvP consent tag. And once you do, how do you pretend that you don't know where a person is? You can do it, but it's if you just happen to go in the right direction (say you roll a die) others could still claim that you meta-gamed their location.

The mans got a point.
I haven't had any PVP stuff happen to my character, but I hardly give anyone a reason to want to, so it's not hard to figure out why not.
Now one of my other characters, maybe later when he's strong enough to mes with people it may happen more often

It sux that I have to try and keep track of people to see if they are members of the club. But if it's going to circumvent the previous crappy rules for PvP, I'm in.

Should have posted this a long time ago, but I've been lucky with other people initiating PVP anyway.

add longshot007 to this please. I'm too nice to pvp most of the time but you never know when you'll want to beat someone into a pulp.

Um hey how hard would it be for the ADMIN to create an open group for the PVP lovers all around?
