Maggot, as the Gloura's called him, was an indentured minotaur slave to the gloura's for years. During that time he learnt a lot from the Gloura's, and unbeknownst to them ran a under-the-table gambling service. Now, having served out his indentured contract and built up some savings he has gone out on his own and bought a seedy little Inn and gambling den in the Darkwoods.

The Maggot's Mug, Proprietor: Maggot the Minotaur, not someone to be messed with lightly else you may end up in his fighting pits.

I feel like the name will probably influence the design of the building. I get either a nightclub or an intellectual saloon vibe from "Nau'klar" -- a bunch of strobing lights and music like out of a Batman Beyond episode.

Yeah, I went there. I liked that show.

Meanwhile, a steak house might feel more like an actual restaurant, maybe with a more rugged clientele -- the place where the meat-loving non-drow gather to get away from the elitism of the dark elves. And the Mug sounds like a more prototypal "adventurer tavern."

I'm not going to vote on any of them, mind. I'm just idly musing on just how much a "name" establishes the entire perception of a place.

Edit: Don't get me wrong. As I think of it, Nau'klar won't turn into a nightclub. Since Nau'klar is Drow in language, the bar itself will probably be run by Drow, with more of a Drow vibe? It'll get figured out. Like I said, let me know if you have any issues with it.
